I didn't grow up in a family of hard-core skiers (we are more summer sport people). I never really paid attention until I was 12 and my uncle's then girlfriend was watching a WC race at my grandparents' house. I remember being like, wow these guys are hot and they're wearing really tight suits. WOOHOO! That was it for me.

@Nicole and all who're interessted in other laguages! I just remembered out conversation last night, about German and Swiss German! So I just had a brilliant idea! My canton has this cute advertisment vid for our tourism, with ibexes! I'll show you a vid, where they're talking in swiss German and this language 'Romansh' I already mentioned once. I wonder who'll guess what is what!!! lol So you get an idea how we speak! And it's even my dialect they're talking! :D Hope this is at least a bit interessting for you! :D
@Cricket yea he does run a hotel in Valais and he has 5 children! Ok that with the kids i just looked up! haha :D
Well I kinda do come from a skier family, so I grew up with it! But didn't watch it until is was 13 or so too! I was more the boarder in the family, still am! haha the only one! :D LOL I'd say, beside seeing them race and the speed and stuff, the tight suits are the best! :P

@Anja I like the speed part too. Some of the jumps they do are just insane. I remember watching a video of (I think) Bode Miller where they clocked him doing 60+ mph.

Kitzbühl, Gramisch (the old course) etc. They were standing on some jumps and they told me it's crazy! :) And they told me about some crazy accidents too, they saw! That kinda scared me! So no, I don't need this! :D I prefer watching the Vikings go down there! While praying they'll come down safely! :D
@Cricket I'm sorry for your lunch! When I'm hungry I become very irritable and my mates take care to bring me a doughnut, a snack... Something to eat! Haha!

@Anja I have seen lots of videos of Kitzbuhl and Wengen and even Beaver Creek with the scary jumps. I wish I could get live WC races here but that is one bad thing about living in the US, not enough interest. So for me it's all online at like 6 am on a Saturday morning.

@Teekanne I work for a financial company, and we have clients come in all the time. My boss will usually give them a tour but he was playing golf today so it fell to me. I am 2nd in command except when he is out, and then I am the Queen.

Mainly summer sports because...well, I'm from an island! ;D But my dad and I used to watch the NBA a lot on tv (until the Pacers started screwing up) and we watch the Olympics intently! We love the summer and winter games....I watch the winter more than they do though! ;D I just get addicted to sports! I've always loved them, but I never joined any teams because I don't want it to mess with my schooling... :/

Kitzbühl, Gramisch (the old course) etc. They were standing on some jumps and they told me it's crazy! :) And they told me about some crazy accidents too, they saw! That kinda scared me! Mainly summer sports because...well, I'm from an island! ;D But my dad and I used to watch the NBA a lot on tv (until the Pacers started screwing up) and we watch the Olympics intently! We love the summer and winter games....I watch the winter more than they do though! ;D I just get addicted to sports! I've always loved them, but I never joined any teams because I don't want it to mess with my schooling... :/
