Cookie Jar

@Anja & dana Yes, my hubby left me sleep in! I also got to take a nap this afternoon as well, he's so sweet! <3 My feet are ok, still a little numb on the bottom and my poor toes that I stubbed this morning are bruised! (I caught the last 3 toes on the corner of the door) Stupid me! lol That's what I get for trying to walk without glasses on or contacts in with a hangover! haha!

@Anja Yes, I did tell him what ya'll wrote, I had him actually read it on the screen so he believed me! ;D He said thank you and that he knows he couldn't do what he does without me! I didn't let him see anything else we were talking about though, he already knows how crazy I am with this and ALS blog! ;D He would definitely think I've lost it if he'd seen some of our conversations! lol! (not that he'd mind the gutter talk, he is man afterall!) lol ;D

@ Anja I think we are all too much alike to fight. What's the point of fighting over a man that we may never ever meet. It's just a waste of time & energy. We all love the Vikings so why spoil the fun with little cat fights.

@anja: haha. since aksel wasn´t attending last year and this year he wore his fancy jacket and the viking helmet it only could have been 2008!
I never was into sunglasses. I don´t like to talk to ppl while they wear sunglasses i like to see somebodys eyes while chatting i think it´s kind of a reason why i don´t wear mine that much. And it´s kind of hard to find sunglasses i like and which fit since they either lie on my cheek or are too close on my eyes so my lashes hit the glass. but i love ray bans as well. I wonder since i saw the video if aksels red ones are ray bans.. even though they look like kids sunglasses from a supermarket! ;-)
@marie: yeh i´m recovered since it wasn´t that bad! ;-) of course it was first disappointing to see them lose. but we had a great season which neither we nor anybody else expected in october. So we will be back next year! ;-)

yea I know what you mean! Normally I take them off when I talk to ppl! but I like when the glasses are dark and you don't see the eyes! It's really easy to watch someone, without them noticing it! ;P I don't think the red ones are! there are no little metalic thing right beside the glasses (sorry don't know to say it otherwise), just compare them to Lars') And on the side there's something written in white! ;D No ray bans, I'd say! :D lol maybe he has them from the supermarked! ok, no ray bans. oh common after his new contract he doesn´t need to wear sunglasses from the supermarket. since they look like kids sunglasses i bet these were kjetils and he only borrowed them bc he lost his in mc! Lars sunglasses are really hot! I like them. These should be the ones for aksel! :)
@teekanne The day was good. Nice and sunny. And I made it to the gym for the third day in a row - trying to get fit again after a five month 'rest' due to stupid injuries.
Mind you if I had not been injured i would not have had time to watch the skiing this winter.

yeh injuries give a lot time to do things normally there won´t be time for. But after 3 days it´s boring. I hate being at home sick or injured for more then a few days.

@anja: haha forget my sunglasses. could happen easily. i didn´t pack mine for norway and i really had needed them! up on the glacier buying sunglasses? maybe these norway coloured glasses with the flag on it but not only red ones! ;-) i don´t know how i get to the point that kjetil might wear kids glasses haha. he´s that freaky i guess! ;-) Aksel seem to be more adult sometimes ;-)

Went shopping today! But yesterday was pretty eventful! Had a delicious bbq...my dad was the chef! ...but I got burned! I, being the idiot that I am, totally forgot about the bbq! I went to ask my friends a question and I leaned against the stupid thing! So now, I have a lovely burn on my right arm! Yippeee!!! I'm so stupid! LOL ;P All I can do is laugh at myself!!! ;D

I was outside all day. I went to the Vineyard with my mom, brother, and sister in law. We had a great time, and unlike some of our Vikings, I wore my sunscreen.
I think the red sunglasses are Oakley too. Maybe they are like his fun ones? I have some purple ones that are totally not my normal style but they're really fun to wear.

Good morning! The pollen is severe again. I am sneezing so much everyone at work has stopped blessing me.
@Anja I am somewhat fair skinned as well, so I never leave the house without sunscreen. I use face cream with SPF15 year round because I am a retinol addict. That is why I don't look my age!
I got my purple sunglasses at Gap. Do they have one where you are?
@Nicole: thx. hope your arm is alright. haha. ok that could happen to me too! it took me 1 hour to get the bbq coal right for bbq last afternoon and then i rialized that i might move the bbq away from the woodhouse in our garden haha. didn´t work out as you quess!

kansas city has gone from april weather in may to july weather in may. it is like living in a sauna. great for the skin...not so great for the hair. double yikes.

I know they have Gap in London, but I am not sure if it is anywhere else in Europe. Do you have H&M? I have gotten fun sunglasses there too.
Oh and by the way this maracuja/passion fruit is the devil! Years ago when I went to Hawaii I got really sick on passion fruit daiquiris. That is one thing I would never drink again even if I was dying of thirst.
This top picture of Aksel reminds me of the recent photo with Gerard Butler. ALS is doing what I call the white man overbite or, what some men do when they dance. I was going to say it's a beaver face, but that's not appropriate...LOL! :)
NYC is so close and yet so far. Hope Aksel will take of photo of himself in his suit at the Red Ball, when he's suited up. Hope he doesn't have jet lag! I don't think he's had time or been home to clean up his Dad's house. I bet that stuff is still everywhere.

@anja on saturday he was standing right before me looking at me and then he goes away and stumble because he watched back to me lol and today he kicked the football always in my near, so i don´t know why he didn´t say anything. on the 4 of june i go back down just over the weekend so maybe he is there
@Anja ... The Rodeo was lots of fun, but 7 hours of driving to get home yesterday was not. My daughter did really well she placed 2nd in her division, but I just did okay, I placed 6th and 15th, cuz I run two horses. My times were good for my horses, but I think there were 185 horses entered in the barrel race. So, not a total butt kicking, but I think I could have done better. Overall, we had a great time, so I can't complain.
I popped in and out all weekend, but I didn't have enough time to read everything. Sounds like I missed a lot ... a bunny suit? :D

@anja my parents go down there on the 2 of june, my friends are all so lazy with the vacation, they all want stay at home. so i make the best thing. he had big sunglasses in his face, but i think he blushed. oh and before this he walked around the pool in a very inconspicuous way. the whole way home i was thinking about it, you know the word "schaulaufen" he make it in high performance
@Anja ... I run 1 Quarter Horse (6 years old/ 15.1 hands) and 1 Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse (5 years old/16.2 hands), so they are both very young. But I have owned and trained both of them from age 2.5, so it is very fun for me. My daughter runs my "old" horse who is a Quarter Horse (16 years old) and I have owned him since he was 5 ... he is a pro at rode and very gentle and sweet, so a perfect 'babysitter' for her.
There are lots of pics from this weekend. So, once I get them all collected, I will try to put them on my facebook. I love'd Teekanne's pics from her trip, especially all of the one's mimicking the statues ... totally funny!
@anja: haha.. i found that out too while being in NY. haha. but only 3 pair fit im my suitcase! haha. next time i take 2 bags back since it only costs 50$. Gosh i needed to live in america only for shopping haha.

I don't know if this will work internationally, but you should check out www.zappos.com for shoes. They have lots of converse and they ship for free in US. We also have "outlet" stores and I've gotten converse there for $12 US dollars, but it's an outlet store and you never know what you'll find ... sometimes there are good deals and sometimes not.

@deuce: we only have fake converse and these broke after 2 weeks of wearing. since they are quite IN at the moment you need to pay like 80 Euro which is about 100$
@Anja I have ridden a couple Hanoveraner Horses ... my friend does Dressage and her horse is a Hanoveraner/Trakehner??? I don't really know much about them, except they are really, really tall and very smooth to ride. They have amazing athletic ability, but not the necessary speed for rodeo events. I like to ride them, and I typically have taller horses than most because I am 5ft 7in, but Hanoveraners are a bit too tall for barrel racing. But if I remember correctly, they are part of the Thoroughbred family. In the US they are also very, very expensive, because there are not very many breeders here, Mostly in Europe. :D

BTW...the show is being re-broadcast at 1am EST...it's a 2 hour program and Aksel comes on 1 hour and 20 min into it. (Maybe Universal Sports will put it on their website as well?!?) :D I just so happened to turn this on after the hockey game and was lucky enough to catch Aksel's story. After the NBC profile piece they showed his gold medal run in the Super G and a small interview afterwards. That smile gets me every time! Aaaaaah, I can go to bed smiling now for sure!!! ReplyDeleteI never was into sunglasses. I don´t like to talk to ppl while they wear sunglasses i like to see somebodys eyes while chatting i think it´s kind of a reason why i don´t wear mine that much.
And it´s kind of hard to find sunglasses i like and which fit since they either lie on my cheek or are too close on my eyes so my lashes hit the glass.
but i love ray bans as well. I wonder since i saw the video if aksels red ones are ray bans.. even though they look like kids sunglasses from a supermarket! ;-)
@marie: yeh i´m recovered since it wasn´t that bad! ;-) of course it was first disappointing to see them lose. but we had a great season which neither we nor anybody else expected in october. So we will be back next year! ;-)

Went shopping today! But yesterday was pretty eventful! Had a delicious bbq...my dad was the chef!

ReplyDeleteI was outside all day. I went to the Vineyard with my mom, brother, and sister in law. We had a great time, and unlike some of our Vikings, I wore my sunscreen.
I think the red sunglasses are Oakley too. Maybe they are like his fun ones? I have some purple ones that are totally not my normal style but they're really fun to wear.

I know they have Gap in London, but I am not sure if it is anywhere else in Europe. Do you have H&M? I have gotten fun sunglasses there too.
Oh and by the way this maracuja/passion fruit is the devil! Years ago when I went to Hawaii I got really sick on passion fruit daiquiris. That is one thing I would never drink again even if I was dying of thirst.

@Anja ... The Rodeo was lots of fun, but 7 hours of driving to get home yesterday was not. My daughter did really well she placed 2nd in her division, but I just did okay, I placed 6th and 15th, cuz I run two horses. My times were good for my horses, but I think there were 185 horses entered in the barrel race. So, not a total butt kicking, but I think I could have done better. Overall, we had a great time, so I can't complain.

@Anja ... I run 1 Quarter Horse (6 years old/ 15.1 hands) and 1 Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse (5 years old/16.2 hands), so they are both very young. But I have owned and trained both of them from age 2.5, so it is very fun for me. My daughter runs my "old" horse who is a Quarter Horse (16 years old) and I have owned him since he was 5 ... he is a pro at rode and very gentle and sweet, so a perfect 'babysitter' for her.

We also have "outlet" stores and I've gotten converse there for $12 US dollars, but it's an outlet store and you never know what you'll find ... sometimes there are good deals and sometimes not.

ReplyDelete@Anja I have ridden a couple Hanoveraner Horses ... my friend does Dressage and her horse is a Hanoveraner/Trakehner??? I don't really know much about them, except they are really, really tall and very smooth to ride. They have amazing athletic ability, but not the necessary speed for rodeo events. I like to ride them, and I typically have taller horses than most because I am 5ft 7in, but Hanoveraners are a bit too tall for barrel racing. But if I remember correctly, they are part of the Thoroughbred family. In the US they are also very, very expensive, because there are not very many breeders here, Mostly in Europe. :D

@Anja ... I'm trying to calculate German Franks into US Money ... but my barrel horses are valued at about $20,000 US dollars each. Really good performance/rodeo horses usually range in $100,000+. Kinda Crazy! But, the upkeep is expensive also.

Sooo here's my thoughts on how not to be shy ... "Don't put any expectations on yourself or others"... ReplyDeleteBTW...the show is being re-broadcast at 1am EST...it's a 2 hour program and Aksel comes on 1 hour and 20 min into it. (Maybe Universal Sports will put it on their website as well?!?) :D I just so happened to turn this on after the hockey game and was lucky enough to catch Aksel's story. After the NBC profile piece they showed his gold medal run in the Super G and a small interview afterwards. That smile gets me every time! Aaaaaah, I can go to bed smiling now for sure!!! It's been a great night!! My team is going to the Stanley Cup finals and Aksel was on TV! Ok, I've rambled on enough now! I'm off to bed chickas!

@Mel ... *hands her a tissue* I don't think Lost will ever be over ... There are so many unanswered questions ... *hands her a Corona* Maybe they'll make a follow up movie or something! I was going to watch the finale, but I got Lost following Lost a couple seasons ago and quit watching.
@Kristen ... Universal Sports???? Is that a Channel? *pouts* I can't find it! Do you think it might be on Hulu? If anyone finds a link, please post, so I don't have to throw myself on the floor, kicking and screaming out of frustration!
