No Race, But Prizegiving

Congrats to Aksel on 2nd!!!
Congrats to Kjetil on 3rd!!!

I find it odd that they had the prizegivings without the races, but as long as they can figure out who the top 3 are I guess it works. Good luck to everybody in the next race!

BTW Yeah I did change the font color again. I got a little tired of blue. LOL

    Thanks ! It's like a Japanese green tea !

    @corinna.
    The patients and doctor in the hospital at 15km from the Fukushima 1 were rescued and taken to the safe place by the Riot Police.

    Again, Riot Police. .. why .. ...:-)))
    They discharged at the nuclear unit a fer days ago, and now rescued the people.

    It's our topic, maybe, corinna.
    The Japanese name of the squad is " Kidotai ", and it's difficult to traslate this word into English correctly, so we call it the Riot Police in English. Of course " Kidotai " work during the demonstration to keep the place safe. We don't have a big demonstration actually, so they work anytime in a emegency.

    And, you talked about Kenjutsu the other day, corinna. I think you mean kendo. right ?
    There are many excellent ( world class like Aksel ) Kendo atheletes in Kidotai. They are so much disciplined !!!

    Thanks, dana ! Please tell your dad that I love him !

    yes, We had an another earthquake about one hour ago. The Richter Scale was 6.2.
    Since March.11, we have had many aftershakes.
    The aftershakes, which are acutually another earthquakes as you see, come very very often after the big earthquakes ( we had 3 big shakes in March 11 ). The shakes we had yesterday were Richter Scale 4-5 class, so we thought we had no more than 6 class, but we had 6.2 this evening. na ja. ...

    You are right, dana. The leader must think his or her country and its people , and I understand your government is not so reliable.I feel very sorry for that. I think your leaders have to feel proud more of Romania.

    Right now, the situation in Fukushima 1 is not so bad. We're trying, correctly speaking the hyper-rescue team from the Tokyo Fire Department, I mean my dad, baby sis & me are not actually trying, ... ;-))) ... anyhow we're trying to discharge at the unit nr. 3 which is in the most dangerous condition. The operation continues for 7 hours without interval. This operation pour 3 ton seawater per minute, and it continues for 7 hours. It means they fill the pool with 1,260 tons of seawater which is the same capacity with the pool. The operation is now in progress.

    I'm happy to know you're fine today, my dear dana. It's weekend, I hope you relax and enjoy flowers ! Kisses & Hugs !

    Thank you so much in the name of my dad! He really cares of what is happening to you, your family and your country! That was the first thing that he told me when I came in, that you had another 6 class earthquake.

    You know we have a nuclear power in Cernavoda, very close to the Black Sea seaside and the authorities are very concerned about it bc we live in a seismic area as well.
    Just as you said, the news from Japan are a little better, at least about Fukushima! All the people that work there are called heroes, bc they really are HEROES! The reporters talk about honor, devotion, discipline, calm and moderation! If you remember, I told you once that when I think of Japan, the first thing that come in my mind is HONOR! I was right! I admire you, as nation, so much!

    Thanks my dear Ekaterina! Unfortunately the weather is not very good, is not very cold, but foggy and it rains from time to time.

    I wish you all the best! Have a peaceful weekend with your dad and your baby sister!
    Love you!

    Thanks for the links and also the previous links ! corinna !

    yes, we had an another earthquake. But my dad, baby sis & her elder sis are all OK ! Thanks, and please tell your parents that we're all OK !

    I see ! Kenjutsu. It's more classical and traditional than Kendo. Kendo belongs to the sports nowadays. I think Kenjutsu is, just really something. Have you ever heard the name Miyamoto Musashi ? He is the master of Kenjutsu. I think he lived in 16 or 17th century.

    I know Teakwondo, although I've never tried it . ... ;-))) Teakwondo is from Korea, I think.

    btw, I suppose you read another text in the blog today here, and talking about the Hyper-Rescue Team from Tokyo Fire Department, the operation is reported very effective, and Government ordered them to continue it for more 3 hours, so the operation continues for totally 10 hours without a break. TV just reports it now.

    and according to the SDF ( Self Defense Forces, it's our military ), they try to pour seawater into the pool in Nr.4 possibly tomorrow by using the Super Vehicle with 50m hose. This super vehicle is made in Germany. TV repeats and repeats about it ! This vehicle is usually run for the construction work, but joins us to work against our national crisis.

    Hope you enjoy a lovely weekend, my dear corinna ! Kisses & Hugs !

    Enjoy your cruise! Your mom is pretty cool, to invite the whole family is really generous!

    @Ekaterina
    So glad, that finally every "last minute" repair work on the nuclear power stations seems to be on a good way.

    I wish to speak out a very "big thank you" to every single fireman, police man, engineer, technician, and all the people involved in this delicate work!!

    Send you a lot of hope, Ekaterina!
    All the very best!

    @All

  9. @ekaterina i have to ask my brother if he knows Miyamoto Musashi, but i think he should knew that person bc he is a trainer for kenjutsu!
    yes teakwondo is from korea! it was real funny when we both trained, bc our different sport sometimes met, so we trained all together!

    i hear about it! i really hope that the water will help!

    I just checked Cernavoda. yes, Romanian and Japanese live in the seismic area. I think every nuclear power plants are built and constrcted strongly and solid. And it also has a many safety device and backup system.

    As for the Fukushima 1, the earthquake of 9.0 didn't give any fatal damages to it. But it is Tsunami that destroyed the backup and function which is neccessary to run the plants safe when it's on & off. And both earthquake & Tunami cut off the power which is also neccessary to do anything.

    So, I think the nuclear power plants in seismic area need the team which can help it whenever it is needed. I think the case of the Fukushima shows what sort of the team is needed. The team including equipment.

    @Nicoletta. @dana.
    Exactly ! They are our heros. The are working in the area which the high level of radiation taking a walk.
    I watched the news conference by the chiefs of the hyper-rescue team of Tokyo Fire Department.

    well, I feel a little bit optmistic now.
    taking a bath and get into the bed.

    Again, thank you all !
    Kisses & Hugs, Good night.

    Yes, Mr. G. in Lybia was working strongly while all eyes were looking to Japan!
    I felt so much with these people fighting in sandals with only small weapons.
    Help seems to come now, but I assume, it is already very late!
