I'm In Awe

This has got to be one of my all time favorite pics of ALS. It seems like it takes a lot of strength to do that.

  1. @all ladies

Aksel has the strength, Aksel has got the power, Aksel's technic is out of question.
But sometimes, it does not go like he had the intenion to do!!

Found this funny entry on Hans Olsson's blog:

Titel"The Life of Homer Simpson" (if there is already a new entry, please scroll down)!

Despite of the troubles right now, I think Aksel is a LUCKY MAN too!

    Have a beautiful Saturday!!

I know how you feel, I feel the same! I'm thinking of Japanese people all the time! I saw on tv when I was at work that the nuclear power station in Fukushima exploded! I'm worried for all the people there!
Luckily they are a strong nation, very well organized and I think with calm and wisdom they can deal with all that it happened!
But I'm sorry for their human loss!

I don't think my government can deal with such a situation! I even don't want to imagine!

  9. @dana i know that there are already some german rescue teams on their way to japan to help!

i really hope for all the ppl there, that they can handle this situation how best they can!

    write you a e-mail!

  10. @Ekaterina

I am very confident that Japanese experts for nucelar power stations do handle with extreme care, are staying calm, and are also in close contact with other nuclear experts worldwide!

Read that also Switzerland is sending rescue experts with dogs:

"Switzerland to send on Saturday afternoon a 24-member search and investigation team as well as 9 search dogs into the earthquake zone to Japan. The team includes a dog coach, a technical specialist for locating, coordinators and experts for environmental disasters, water, medicine and construction."

I think any support counts if such disasters happen!

Read that you had in the Tokyo area again relatively heavy earthquakes in the morning. Must be still very frightening for all the people.

Please try to keep on your good mood, dear Ekaterina, and look good for your dad and the baby sister!

I feel very much with you, dear Ekaterina.

    Nature can be so cruel!

  11. @Nicoletta.
yes ! I agree with you, Nicolettchen !
Aksel is mentally strong, but I feel sorry it's his home races. But Aksel loves Switzerland, too ! First I hope he gets ready to recover from a tentative " slump " tomorrow, and gains control back next weekend !

and, I knew that Switzerland decided kindly to send us the team including the research dogs ! I really thank for that, my dear Nicoletta !

    @corinna.
I watched the film of the explosion of Fukushima 1 on the TV. The government explains that the leak of radioactive materials are within safe range and it'll be finished and stay safe. I want to believe it.

yes, I knew the 4 experts are coming to us from Germany, and we really thank them for the great help, my dear corinna !

The latest earthquake came and hit Fukushima 15 minutes ago and I felt the shake even in Tokyo. I hope it will not give any damage to Fukushima 1 which is trying hard to fight against the leak and the serious explosion.

Then, corinna, please send my heart full of thanks to your mom !

    @dana.
Thanks, dana ! My baby sis, dad and me are all fine !
As time goes by, the damage by the earthquake & Tsunami looks clearer, but we haven't reached the whole disastous area yet. The Richter Scale 8.8 is anyhow first experience for us. and the whole disastrous area this time is very huge.

We are so disappointed by the Fukushima 1. bc the Tsunami is enough for us to deal with. I hope it'll be OK.

and my dear dana, please don't forget to send my thankfulness to your dad !

My baby sis, my dad and me are OK. but really sorry for the disastrous area.

and the government says that the electricity capacity is down, bc several power plants does not work due to the damage by the earthquake.
So I'm afraid even in Tokyo, we may have the power down next week. I have no idea what will happen. I let you know of it when it is confirmed.

Have a beautiful weekend, my dear am !

  19. Today was a very interesting day...saw a bunch of people I know or am related to, told a teenage girl how to hide a hickie. LOL Thank God for The Nanny! Then some lady pushed the door open to the bathrrom stall I was in. They really need to get those locks fixed, but come on the door is closed. That usually means someone is in there. Came home, the freezer is full of buffalo(YUM!) & Dad bought chocolate ice cubes. Plus I finally found out what happened to my Oscar Mayer hot dogs. Katelyn gave them to our cousins instead of the ones that she was supposed to. :-(

  21. @corinna.
I'm so much impressed by your parents and you, dear my corinna. I thank you all for your proposal. I think we are OK, bc Fukushima 1 is far from here, however my dad, baby sis & me really thank you for the thoughtful mind !

According to the regulation on the risk by IAEA which is from the level 0 to the level 7, our situation stays in the level 4. We know 160 people near Fukushima 1 were exposed to radiation so far on the way of evacuation.

This morning, the 41 special rescue people with 3 dogs, the 27 special rescue people with 9 dogs, and 150 special rescue people with 12 dogs arrived Japan from Germany, Switzerland, and the USA. I really thank for them. and of course we honestly thank every countries for thinking of us.

Have a pleasant Sunday, my dear corinna. I'll get in touch with you all and keep you informed.
and please let me express the special thanks to you an your parents ! Hugs !

  22. @ekaterina how is it today in japan? some more earthquakes? here in german tv they say that they warn for another big earthquake!

    ReplyDelete
  23. @corinna.
It's quiet in Japan today, corinna. Thanks !

The actual spot of the earthquake on Friday is so huge. It was in the sea and the area covers 200km x 500km. Usually we call it " actual spot " but we had better call it " actual area " this time, bc it's so huge.
It is said to be normal that the another big earthquake happens in the same area again in next 3 days. But it is usually smaller scale as the Richter Scale 7.0 compared with the one on Friday with 9.0 , so we are still warned.
In fact we have had many earthquakes since last Friday, but they were fron 5.0 to 6.0 , so we don't worry about it in Tokyo. But in the disastrous area 5.0 is strong enough to disturb the rescue operation.

As for the nuclear power plant, they're still trying to manage it. It is Fukushima 1, nr.1 And today Fukushima 1, nr.3 came into the same condition as nr.1 was in yesterday.

At the right moment, our prime minister appears on the TV and is speaking about the shortage of the electricity. He says the possibility of the planned black out may come to our daily life soon.
corinna, we rely on the nuclear power, but many of them had to be stopped due to the earthquake. So I understand what he means, but he didn't mention how it will happen, he only said it will start from tomorrow, bc the shortage of electricity is very serious and urgent. I can't imagine it, though...

Thanks for your thought, my dear corinna !
Kisses and Hugs to you and your parents !

  24. @ekaterina i really hope that nothing bad will happen again and i really hope that they can handle the situation with the nuclear power station as well as they can! i knew what you mean!
here in german tv they said that also a big earthquake btw 7 and 8,5 is possible in the same area as the big one from friday was! i really hope that none real stronge one (higher then 7 will hit your country again) i knew that small ones are normal and are better to handle then the bigger ones but i alos hope that the small ones would stopp soon!

have a great sunday as well as possible

to you and your family also a big hugs!

  25. @Ekaterina *hyperventilates* OMG! OMG! OMG! They said on the news that they are pumping sea water into the reator as a last resort to cool it down & they are evacuating people & telling people to put wet towels over their windows & doors. :-( I hope that you, your family & friends stay safe.

The things seem to be worse than we all expected, so many dead people and more than 10. 000 are missing! And now this nuclear threat!
I pray for you all and I think of you all the time! Take care of you, your dad and your baby sister! Be strong for them!
Wish you ALL to be strong!

Hope the next week will be a better one! Love you! Hugs!

  28. @corinna,@Mel,@am,@dana, and @all ladies !
Thank you so much for nice words !

yes, I felt less earthquake today than yestersay. I hope it becomes restful.

We still cannot figure the correct number of people who were involved in the earthquake.
10,000 missing. ... There was the small town of 17,000 population on the sea coast. It was hit by Tunami on last Friday, and 7,500 people of the town were confirmed safe, but the rest still missing.

I was shocked to know they were pumping sea water into it to cool it down. It really looks a last resort. Fukushima 1 is located 250km north-east from Tokyo.

my baby sis and dad are OK, and so am I !
    Honestly thanks again, ladies !
Hope you have a pleasant new week !
Kisses & hugs ! Good night.
