Kvitfjell Views

First we have a nice bright & sunny 6:30AM. Gorgeous view, but I would throw the covers back over my head & go back to sleep. Not so bright & sunny, but still oh so gorgeous.

    Really gorgeous ! and I also feel that the snow makes it more gorgeous.

    @Mel. @Nicoletta. @dana. @corinna.
    The men in uniform tempt us. ... ;-)))

    @dana.
    It's not fun to take a surgery, and I wouldn't want it happen to you. But I think it is a good idea to visit the Endocrinological Institute in Bucharest to check the trouble you have had for weeks.

  2. @all ladies !

    Thank you for your nice words about my friends !

    In fact, as I mentioned , I've met her twice. The first time was in their wedding in 2007 which my parents and I attended, bc my friend is our family friend. Then the last time I met them was about this time in 2009 at my mom's funeral.

    Today is my mom's memorial day, and my dad & I attended the service with her friends whom we are also familiar with, and we invited them to the lunch after the service. I had no idea that the meet with her at my mom's funeral 2 years ago was the last time, and I still cannot believe that I attend her vigil on this Saturday and my dad attends her funeral on Sunday. I think it's easier to accept it if the couple doesn't have a child of 13-month-old boy. .....
    Reading your comments including the episode of " Railway pastor ", I think I had better talk to him something very short, or just a few words. I'm thinking I'll tell him to be generous to himself. In Japan, it's quite difficult for a man to raise a kid without mother. I suppose he let his little boy stay and live with grandparents, the parents of her late wife. It's standard in this case in Japan. Of course I think he visits him and stays with them on weekend.

    Well, thanks again !
    Hope you enjoy spring days ! Kisses & hugs !

    I know a day like this is a sad one for you!
    But I hope you feel good talking to your family friends about your mom, as much as I do feel good and relieved when I talk about my mom! In those moments I feel her so close to me, I remember her smile, her voice, her hands caressing me...
    Talking about this I realized that your friend's little boy is not as lucky as we are, he will never remember his mom, he's too young! He will know her just from the pictures! Poor baby!

    Thanks for your support, my dear Ekaterina! Yes, it's better to go to Bucharest to see what can I do about my crazy thyroid!:) I had enough to feel bad because of it!

    You're right, the men in uniform tempt us! To not mention also the men in spandex!:)))

    Wish you a peaceful evening, my dear Ekaterina! Love you!

  4. @ Dana Hello! So sorry about your possible throat surgery. Bless you, keep us informed we'll all pray for you. Such sweet comments about your Mom always, you are such a good daughter. Why are you trying to be quiet on ALS? He is going to miss you and wonder where you are and if you don't think he's handsome anymore! We all love your comments, your jokes are always funny! My husband is listening to Adele 21, she has such a beautiful voice. It's in his car right now, lovely melodies.

    @Ekaterina I'm sorry, I'm sad for you at the loss of your mother too. It's good to remember the happy times. Re: your family friend, I misunderstood, I thought he had two children. Seems very sad that he will lose his wife and his child too. Is it because Japanese men work such long hours? I'm sure the grandparents will love that poor dear child. Thinking of you dear Ekaterina...

    And now to change topics. It is spring. You should all be thinking of men in uniform? or out!

    @Nicoletta ROFLOL! Your quote, "It is really time for an other affair!! Again kidding! But honestly, why not, dear Mel??!!" Even though Mel answered it, I agree.

    @Corinna How about you? Any interesting patients? How is the jogging coming along? Any new tunes on your ipod?

    Hi my dear!
    Thank you so much for your concern, but don't be worried! I'm trying to get used to the fact that I might need a surgery and I try to not panic!! LOL
    Of course I'll keep you informed! However, there is time before then!

    Haha! Yes, right, Aksel will miss me!!! Good joke! LMAO He knows he's handsome anyway, even if I don't tell him that anymore!:))

    Sometimes I think I talk too much and I say a lot of BS on his blog. So I thought it would be better to be quiet! LOL The truth is that I can't keep my mouth shut for too long, my tongue itches me and I have to say something, I can't help!! Haha!

    Again, thank you so much for your nice and warm words, dear Sis! But let me have doubts about the quality of my jokes! At least about some of them!! LMAO

    Wow! Your husband likes Adele!!! I'm glad! I thought he likes another kind of music, more rock!! LOL

    Love you!

  6. @ekaterina i heared that there was a 7,4 earthquake at 11.32 pm your time! how are you? everything fine! it makes me sad, that the little child don´t will know the mom and also grow up at the grandparents, bc even one parent should be there!

    @giffy new songs on my i-pod! bruno mars the album and sex and the city two the ost/soundtrack!
    haha about hot patients yes there is at time a hot patient, a bit younger then me and he has a girlfriend, but he is always flirting with me! lmao

  7. @dana, @Giffy.
    Thanks !!!

    btw, we had another earthquake 2 hours ago. The Richter Scale was 7.4 and it is big enough to destroy the houses or building. But it's different this time. Nothing is destroyed, only a few fires, the TV says.

    Why is nothing destroyed ? Because the houses & Buildings, and other related things which were to be destroyed by the 7.4 were all destroyed in March 11 by the 9.0

    And all our AKW are OK, though some power cables were cut. So we can concentrate on 4 pools of the used fuel rods in nr.1,2,3,4 of the Fukushima 1, and concentrate on the fuel rods in the reactors of nr.1,2,3 of theFukusima 1, also can concentrate on the contaminated water there.

    The earthquake happened at around 23:31 and I rushed to my baby sis. I talked to her for 30 minutes. She always feel fine listening my talks.

    I get into my bed, too. Good night.

  8. @cornna.
    Thanks, my dear corinna. I'm OK. The actual spot of the earthquake is about 350km from here, however I'm not sure, but anyhow it's far. The actual spot is 40km under the seabed.
    Hope you have a nice evening ! Good night !

  9. @ekaterina so you are still awake? what time it is right now in japan? i think something about 3:25 am in the night or? so you still be awake! wow i be real tired today bc i slept real bad last night!

    i hope you and your dad and baby sis are ok and get some sleep tonight!

    there was a tsunami warning bc of this 7,4 earthquake! but till now i didn´t hear something if the tsunami hit the coast!

    for you also good night!

  10. @corinna.
    yes, I was awake till late midnight, bc I watched the TV report live. I worried about our AKW, and the report said the all AKW were confirmed OK, and I got into my bed.
    The time difference between Germany and Japan is 7 hours now. When it's 24:00 in Germany, it's 07:00 in Tokyo.
    It's shortly before 08:00 now, and I'm sure you have a nice dream right now, my dear corinna.
    and, yes ! tsunami didn't come last night.

  11. @Ekaterina I heard there was another earthquake and I thought "Not again." I'm glad you are ok, you must be tired of being strong and being calm dear Ekaterina. I hope everything will go well on Saturday at the visitation of your friends late wife and that the right words will find you. You will deserve a nice vacation. Have you started teaching your students again?

    @Dana Yes, I am worried about you because you are my dear Romanian Sis! When I was lonely and out of work you kept me company on this blog and cheered me up and talked about love and the gutter. So of course, I care what happens to you! My husband loves Adele right now, such a beautiful voice, but mostly listens to jazz music. He's in China right now for two weeks. When he comes home he'll dance around the kitchen and listen to Bomba Estereo - Fuego :

  15. @Ekaterina Sorry about your friend. :-( Are there always that many earthquakes in Japan? I know the island is on or near major fault lines, but it just seems like there have been a lot. I'm glad that there wasn't another tsunami!

    @Giffy LOL I bet you freaked the associates out by being sweet as pie. We aren't used to that & when people are it throws us off. :-) They haven't messed with me so much & I shut down the one person that was trying to.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Giffy.
    It has been 4 weeks since the earthquake 9.0 hit us. We've suffered from so many natural disasters in our history, though I don't know about the past of some hundred years ago. But actually no living Japanese have suffered from such an earthquake 9.0 and we are tired as you guess, my dear Giffy.

    * Earthquake *
    We are very careful about it taught by our history.

    * Tsunami *
    We, especially living along the coast, are very careful about it.

    *** But they were simply beyond our imagination this time. ***
    *** Tunami is much more dangerous than an earthquake, bc it's easy to set the safety system against the shake. And an earthquake does not destroy everything, but tsunami does. More than 90% of the toll of lives this time was caused by tsunami. ***

    * AKW *
    We all believed our AKW are all safe until March 11, Giffy. ..... bc our AKW is constructed and built in the country full of the natural disasters. That is, our AKW has to be equipped with several safety system, so we believed those AKW were perfectly safe.
    It's like the big jet airplane can fly with only 1 engine out of the total 4.
    *** But the Fukushima 1 was different from those we believed to be, bc it lost everything it needed when it was stopped automatically due to the shakes. Tsunami took them all away. ***
    ***** 1. The Fukushima 1 should have had the more various safety systems against Tsunami.
    ***** 2. Tepco should have done more simulation to manage the risk.
    ***** 3. Our government should have learned much about AKW.

    I'm sleepy tonight. I hope the best words for Saturday come into my mind during sleep.

    Have a beautiful weekend, my dear Giffy ! Hugs !

  17. @Ekaterina
    My dear Ekaterina, I'm so glad that you and your family are fine! As Giffy said, I think you must be tired of being strong, calm and carrying on!
    But you have to keep the faith!

    Wish you a restful night and maybe some sweet dreams!
    Have a peaceful weekend my dear! Kisses and hugs!

    @Giffy
    Thank you so much, I'm touched by your nice words! You're very kind to me!
    You said "when I was out of work", so this means you're not out of work anymore??? Have you got the job??? It would be great for you!!

    Haha! Yes, my mind is in the gutter almost all the time!:)))

    Thanks for the links, I liked the songs, especially Jean Luc Ponty!
    I have to tell you that I'm a bit surprised but in the same time I admire your husband bc he likes to dance! Not too many men like and can dance! So my hat off in front of him! LOL
    I imagine you like to dance too!

    China??? Huh, pretty far! So you're home alone again! I'll come to entertain you! Haha!

    I'm happy to have a sister like you!
    Love, kisses and hugs! Be good girl!:)))

  18. @Mel.
    Thanks, Mel. I'm afraid I'll not be able to look at a boy's face tonight. I'm not so brave.
    He is only 1 year and 1 month, so hopefully he may sleep in the baby's bed in the corner of the room of the service. I don't care much about his dad ( my friend ), bc he understands what happened to his wife, and he has many opportunities to meet the ladies, but mother is only one for anybody. .....

    You are right, Mel. I woudln't say " always ", but I can say " very often ". So normally we are used to the earthquakes, but not to the earthquake of 9.0 though.

    And, yes, Japan is located on the plate where earthquakes often happen. So we have many systems to cope with it, but the 9.0 was too big for us.
    It is said that the area hit by the 9.0 will be hit again by around 8.0 in 6 months. So the several new urgent systems for safety are under construction around AKW in the area now.

    I leave here for the service in 3 hours, which starts at 18:00.

    Hope you enjoy a happy weekend, my dear Mel !

    @dana.
    yes, I think I'm tired, especially today. I think I'll be OK again after the funeral.

    How about your health ?

    Hope you enjoy the lovely spring, my dear dana !

  19. @Ekaterina
    Hope you'll be fine after the funeral! I know it's hard but you know, life goes on! We have to be strong! Sometimes we can't do anything to change the facts!

    I can say I'm fine, in normal limits! Thank you so much for your concern and for your kindness!

    Wish you a nice and peaceful spring weekend! I'm thinking of you, my dear Ekaterina!
    Love you!

  20. @dana.
    Thanks, dana ! I'm back and feel very fine.

    A boy looked very bright. He was held in his granpa's arms during the service. He was awake and knew to be quite. His dad ( my friend ) looked well, but looked thiner. He said he has been just busy for these couple of months, and I guess why. A boy was also held in his aunt's arms. His late mom's sister who has two kids under 5. So I felt relieved to know that a boy grows in good family atmosphere even if he lost his mom. That's OK.
    Life goes on, as you say. ..... :-)))
    I met other friends there, too, and they thought just like I did until they looked a boy, so we all were relieved.

    Have a restful weekend, my dear dana !

  21. Road trip on ALS site. Isn't it nice to see ALS, Kjetil, and Lars in a car together. They looks so happy and relaxed! I wonder if they sang songs? Wouldn't you like to be a passenger in that car...fun!

    @Ekaterina I'm so glad you have some peace after the funeral service. The boy will grow up with cousins, and family and be reminded of his mother, by his aunt and grandparents, and of course his father. Try to rest if you can and take it easy this weekend.

    @Corinna I'm sorry, I was teasing you. I know you're a good girl. Would like you to find someone nice. :)

    @Dana I sent you another post and it didn't show up? What happened? That is weird. I did get a job I start Tuesday. I'm very excited about it. Marketing for a specialty food company, mostly computer communication work. I'll try to stay out of trouble this weekend with my Dear Husband in China. Kisses and hugs!

    @Giffy

  29. @all ladies !

    First of all, please let me express my sincerest thanks to all of you ! It's one month tomorrow. We are much helped by all of you to restore, and advance to the safety.

    I still remember @corinna posted to me here that there was an earthquake 7.2 in Japan and she worried about me. That was in March 09, just 2 days before the 9.0 in March 11.

    There happened nothing serious in Japan by the 7.2 in March 09, and it was more or less normal. Then, came 9.0 in March 11.

    I wouldn't play the "number" game, but
    09.11.2001
    03.11.2011
    are possibly the worst disasters in early this century.

    Tsunami is Japanese word, as you know. Tsu means a harbor and nami measn waves.
    As it shows, we have had many tsunamis in our history, but not so often as earthquakes.

    The geological survey has made great progress recently, and one of our academic institute concluded 2 years ago that there was a killer tsunami in 869 in the area where the Fukushima 1 was built. According to the survey, that tsunami came after the earthquake 8.4 then.
    Of course Tepco was informed and warned. But it was just easy for Tepco to ignore it, bc it was an old time disaster in 869.
    It is one of the big topics to talk among us in Japan these days.

    I'll be back today if I have time.

    Let's enjoy the beautiful spring days !
    Kisses & Hugs !

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Ekaterina
    Yes, it's one month!
    I'm so sorry for your lost, for all the suffering of the Japanese people caused by this terrible event!
    You have shown the whole world that you are a strong nation! No matter what some others will say! Your people is brave, hardworking, and disciplined!
    All my respect and admiration to Japan!!

    I have to add to your list
    03.11.2004-Madrid
    Maybe the consequences of the bomb attack in Madrid were not as large as number of victims like in New York and in Japan, but it was tragic as well!

    Wish you to have a beautiful spring day too!
    Love you!

    Thanks, my dear dana ! I watched all links !
    Love them !

    Watching those funny links, I can start the very new week feeling very fresh !

    it is like ekaterina said a bit strange that always on big disasters the number 11 plays a part! but maybe this is just a coincidence

    @giffy i know how you mean it! no problem! i think the right one will find me one day!

    @all have a great sunday

I am really excited and had lots of homework to do to get up to speed as they say. She wanted me to learn to tweet on twitter...tweet those products. Do you know the song by Cake - Never There?
