  1. Happy Easter ! ( again )

    @Mel.
    Thanks for the pretty post, my dear Mel !
    My baby sis sometimes sits like the bunny in the blog and looks at me with her round eyes just like the bunny does here.

    It's a fantastic custom that kids and unmarried girls do so !

    I had a memory about the red colored eggs on Easter.
    Although Japan is not the Christian nation, there are some schools of Christianity. And one of the famous schools of Christianity in Japan is Aoyama Gakuin which I took education from the elemetary school to the Uni for 16 years. It's Protestant, but quite flexible. and we had several teachers from Catholic and even non-Christian, too !

    Our elementary school serves lunch. But once a year, we were served breakfast. That was on Easter. I remember we didn't want to get up early and go to school that day much earlier than usual, but we did. Because we were served the red or blue or green colored boiled eggs for breakfast with bread with strawberry jam, milk, and fruits. We really loved the colored eggs.

    I think the best known Easter Eggs in Japan is Faberge owned by the Romanov family in the 19th century. My baby sis might know of it. ...;-)))

    yes, she speaks words of her own.
    Here is some from the list :
    *yes
    *no
    *want it
    *love it
    *it is mine
    *don't understand
    *want to eat
    *want to drink ( water )
    *come with me
    *look at only me
    *ready to play with you
    *comb me
    *touch me
    *stop talking over the phone
    *toilet
    *stay with me
    and so on. It seems more than some. .....
    Then, she understood my explanation about the squirrels, bc she said " yes ". I also asked her if she liked it, and she also said " yes ".

    The cherry blossoms season is over in Tokyo, as I mentioned in ALS. It's full blooms in the disastrous areas now, bc they are located north from Tokyo.

    Hope you have a beautiful Easter Sunday, my dear dana !

  3. @Nicoletta.
    It is now the season agaisnt ultraviolet rays in Tokyo, and I put " UV Protect FPS 35 SPF " on my face before the make-up.

    btw, Nicoletta, do you know how the boy cabbage butterfly finds the girl butterfly to match ? We cannot see which is boy and which is girl, bc they are both white.
    You might know it, but I didn't know it until some years ago. Their eyes are different from ours. They can see the ultraviolet rays, and through it, the wings of the girl cabbage butterfly is not white, but pale green.

    So, if you see several couples of the cabbage butterflies, it indicates the ultraviolet rays are strong.

    I don't know why AKW people do not try to invent the lens which can see the radiation.

    Hope you enjoy a happy Easter Sunday, my dear Nicoletta !

    Your baby sis is as special and amazing as you are! As long as you are "sisters"... I didn't know she can speak so many words!:))

    I'm sure you and your school mates loved the colored eggs! We paint eggs in different colors too, though basic they were just red! I have a little basket with red, blue, green, yellow eggs.

    Faberge Eggs are wonderful! Priceless!

    If you wanna see how the Easter eggs look in different regions of my country, here's a link with images of them. But these eggs are not for eating, just for decoration. All are handmade!

    Ou=egg, read ou like ow in own!:)) Plural of ou is ouă! Sorry, I can't explain the phonetic of ă! LOL

    Here the cherry blossom season is at its peak! We have a beautiful spring day!

    Wish you a nice evening, my dear Ekaterina! Give my best regards to your dad from me, please! And a friendly "meow" to your baby sis!lol

    Love, kisses and hugs!

    Thanks for so many nostalgic and pretty Easter pics, Mel!
    Wish you some lovely Easter days with your familiy!

    @Giffy
    Hope you enjoy the Easter meal with you family!
    No music at the moment ....

    @Dana
    You have really wonderfully painted Easter eggs in Romania. Love them so much!

    Hope you had some peaceful days with your familiy, my dear Dana!

    @Ekaterina
    Hope you did enjoy also the Easter weekend, as you know so much about it!

    Your info about the cabbage butterfly was very new for me! It is quite funny!

    Regarding the sun, I have hat the moment a daycream with 15 SPF. Because I use powder and rouge, that are enough products for me. LOL
    For the critic area with my sun allergy, that is throat and decolltée I take suncream 30 SPF. Normally I avoid sun before 15.00/16.00 for a walk, etc. and try to stay not to much in the sun.

    Regarding hay fever I got by chance a new product, it is the generica, that means kind of copy, but cheaper. I had the idea to take 1/2 of it and to my surprise, I dont have practically zero side effects! That is great! I have to test it out further.

    Wish you a good start into the next week, my dear Ekaterina!

    Kisses and Hugs to all of you, my dear friends!!

    Love you!

  7. @Nicoletta
    Thanks, hope you had a beautiful Sunday too, my dear Nicoletta!
    My day was full of joy and fun, I spent a lot of time with two of my cousins with I grew up.
    One of them is my age and we were class mates, we shared the same desk in the primary school!:))

    Good night and sweet dreams! :)
    Kisses and hugs!

    @All
    Hope you had a great Easter weekend! Wish you a beautiful new week!
    Love you, my friends!

  8. Spent the whole day in the Easter candy aisle...if I ever see another chocolate bunny I'm gonna scream. Leslie & Rebekah now want me to be on the floor instead of on register. I wouldn't mind it. I do like it, but boy oh boy does it makes you hurt when your not used to it. It's nice to be in your own little section of the store & be able to hear your own thoughts. LOL

    I missed the Easter Egg Hunt. :-( I'm gonna hide some eggs so I can watch them.

  9. Hello to all! We had a wonderful Easter, hope you did too! My husband and sons were home, and my sister and her three children came for the day. Lots of fun and ham! We played games in the afternoon and it was a beautiful sunny day. Today I'm off work, but I'm supposed to go in tomorrow. We shall see if I type while she marches around the office. LOL! Take care everyone. Have a good week!

    Thanks for the link, however my pc is too stupid to show it, but it's OK, bc I tried to find some link and I enjoyed it quite a lot ! Some of them has the design of Romanian traditional embroidery. Very beautiful Easter eggs, indeed !

    Nice to hear you had a pleasant Easter Sunday with your cousins, my dear dana !

    Now I'm a little excited about the Royal Wedding on Friday, though I'm not invited to attend. ... ;-)))

    The couple may visit Romania sooner or later, bc their father has the private house there. I suppose it will be tradition of the Royal family to visit Romania !

    My baby sis says she wants to send her greetings to you and your family, including the two squirrels. I actually explained her they belong to your family, so that she can understand it easily. .....

    Hope you enjoy the cherry blossoms, my dear dana ! Kisses & Hugs !

    @Nicoletta.
    It's a good idea to take 1/2 of it, Nicolettchen. The dose depends on the condition, I think.
    and we also take the generica often. It's recommended by the government, too.

    btw, how long does the hay fever last ? In Japan, the high season of the kind of hay fever is in early spring. The main cause of our hay fever is from Japanese cedar pollen.

    I've heard it's effective to put the slices of cucumber on the skin which takes too much sunshine. Of course at home after back from outside, bc it's not always fashionable to wear vegetables. ... ;-)))

    Hope you enjoy spring free from the health touble, myb dear Nicoletta ! Kisses & Hugs !

    I'm glad that you had a really happy Easter Sunday, my dear Giffy !
    Then, next good news is buying " new shoes " ?
    Hope you enjoy the job on the sweets which I'm sure you know much about, and one of the most favorites for all of us here !
    Kisses & Hugs !

    @Mel.
    Walt Disney is the legend and our TV often broadcasts about him. I once watched the program about his project which was not realized. That is the big house made only from candies. I just remember it after reading your text.
    Hope you enjoy both school and work, my dear Mel !

    How's your shoulder, btw ?

    Kisses & Hugs !

  15. @corinna.
    I see, I think it's very lovely in Italy in May and it does not sound bad to go to Norway in early September, though it may be a little cold.

    btw, it's so windy here in Tokyo today. The warm wind blows from south to north. I wear the hard-contact lens, so I'm always careful to go out in such a windy day, but I'll go to the concert this evening !

    Hope you enjoy the beautiful days in Bavaria till you have a short holidays in Italy, my dear corinna !

  16. Hello Ladies!

    Glad to hear that you enjoyed all a very happy Easter holiday!

    Wish you a beautiful "short week" with this impressive video (imported from Hans Olsson's blog)!! HaHa

    Don't miss it!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-dPjDYVKUY&feature

    Have fun!

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Nicoletta WOW! I've never heard of that, how does he get down? That was an awesome video. I really enjoyed the click click click as his hands were finding spots for the hook things.

    @Ekaterina Yes, I bought the shoes already. I couldn't wait and I needed them anyway! ;)
    It will take me forever to earn a pair of shoes at this rate. I worked 6 hours yesterday. I'll feel better when it becomes routine, it's too new to enjoy.

    I'm looking forward to the Royal wedding. As you know in the USA we don't have any royalty except fake tv/movie stars who think they are something special. I remember I really cried when Lady Diana died, she seemed such a lovely person, and I mourned her loss. I would very much like William and Harry to have happy lives. I Congratulate William and wish Kate all the best! I probably won't get up early to watch. Will you? You guys in Europe will already be up...

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Nicole Hey! How are you? When are you done with finals? When will you move home? Lots of questions so little time. Good to see you on!

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Corinna Going to Italy every weekend sounds like heaven! How I would love to go to Italy.

    @Dana Thanks for the link to all the pretty eggs. I have always liked the Europian style eggs. They are so intricate & beautiful.

    @Nicoletta I will have to watch the video after I get home. i'm at school & I forgot my headphones. :-(

    I just looked at the bottom of the blog & it has been visited 13,761 times in the past month! WOW! That's a lot. A new blog is coming soon, I promise.

    The blog won't let me sign in on the computers at school for some reason. :-( *glares at computer*

    ReplyDelete
  20. Go figure this out. I can sign in on my computer at school, but not on the schools computer anymore...strange...

    So the guy on the couch in front of me has been sleeping since 9am. IDK how people can do that. Oh & he snores. It's really funny...I'm tempted to write on him with a sharpie...damn some guy just woke him up. :-(

    It's almost time for class to start. I hope I get a good grade on my portfolio that is due today. I still have to finish writing my research paper. I just have a couple more paragraphs left to do. I have to figure out how to end it. I know I want to include my statement about not being a psychic medium & that I'm just a sensitive...I just don't know where I'm gonna put it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Nicoletta.
    Thanks ! I enjoyed the video, Nicolettchen !
    just beautiful and unbelievable.

    @Giffy.
    yes, I think we can see it in the evening our time tomorrow. Lady Di suffered from too many things in her life, but I suppose his sons will have a happier life.

    @Mel.
    being visited 13,761 times is great, Mel. Your blog really deserves it !!!
    Surely you have the good grade in portfolio !

    @dana.
    made an appointment? ..... my dear dana ? .....
    Hope you'll be able to feel fine constantly without an annoying trouble caused by thyroid.

    @all ladies.
    It's early summer here in Tokyo.
    Although we don't have the Easter holidays, we have the holidays called " Golden Week " which starts from April 29 to May 08 this year. We have some national holidays in this short period, and if you take 2 days-off on May 02 & 06, you'll have 10 straight holidays this year.
    Me ? ... Of course I'll do it !

    Have a wonderful spring time ! Kisses & Hugs !

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Ekaterina I was reading about the Hanami festival? The article I was reading says it has a beginning, middle, and end? Where are you now in the celebration?

    Happy spring everyone! It is almost the weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Giffy.
    When we Japanese say Hanami, it is watching the cherry blossoms. Although it depends on the weather, we normally have Hanami festivals from the late March to the early April in Tokyo.
    But as you see, Japan is located from the south to the north, Hanami festivals start from the south to the north, so the people in the north have it now and it ended in Tokyo a few weeks ago.

    However, it is different this year because of the 9.0 in March 11. Many festivals were cancelled and people hesitated to celebrate it thinking about the casualties and the missing people. What was more, Tepco said they could not supply the enough power, bc some of the Hanami festivals are held outside in the evening.
    Every year my friends and I go to the parks in the center or the outskirt of Tokyo to watch the cherry blossoms, but we didn't do it this year, bc we still had several shakes during the period and we worried the train might stop again due to the shakes as in March 11. ... :-(((
    I think we'll have it next year as usual. It was quite unusual this year anyhow. ... ;-)))

    p.s.
    hanami is the correct Japanese, but we ladies are recommended to say ohanami ( o-hanami ). It's elegant manner of speak by ladies.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ekaterina so you have not to work the whole next week! great!

    how are you? how is it right now in tokyo?

    @all have a great evening!

    ReplyDelete
  25. @corinna.
    That's right.
    and the calendar of this year helps us get the 10-straight-days for " the Golden Week " holidays.

    I'm well and fine. Thanks, corinna !

    I wouldn't travel during the golden week, bc it's crowded. Instead, I have a bit longer vacation in every summer. So, I stay in Tokyo now, visiting some places, having the guest at home, and so on.

    Have a pleasant weekend, my dear corinna !
    Kisses & Hugs !

  31. Hello my ladies! I'm still alive!:))

    Sorry I haven't visited you very often lately, I've been busy and yesterday I didn't feel quite well!
    I'm not sure yet when I'll go to hospital but probably on 9 May or around this date!

    Thank you all for your concern, I'll keep you informed!

    Wish you a beautiful spring weekend! Love you, my friends!

  32. @dana.
    of course, you're alive, my dear dana !!!

    btw, I was looking at the TV and tried to find Michael I, bc I thought he attended at it, but I couldn't. And this morning I found the article in the Japan Times that he attended and it was his third time to attend at the Royal Wedding of GB.
    1)at the marriage of Princess Elizaberh ( now Queen ) to his cousin Prince Philip, in 1947.
    2)at the wedding of Prince Charles & Princess Diana in 1981.
    and
    3)yesterday !
    Ours were also invited, but they declined the invitation due to things related to March 11.
    I think they should have attended it, bc this is this & that is that.

    around in May 09 ? OK, please keep us informed and take care of you, my dear dana.

    There are no good news in Japan since March 11, bc our government is too too stupid.
    But some good news around me always. I have a special guest tomorrow and I'm a bit busy.

    Have a restful weekend, dana ! Kisses & Hugs !

  33. @Ekaterina
    Thank you very much, my dear! Of course I'll keep you informed!

    About our King Michael I, he was sitting behind Queen Sofia of Spain, he was accompanied by the Princess Margarita, his eldest daughter and heiress of the throne. I saw them there during the ceremony!
    He met his wife, Queen Ana, at the wedding of Queen Elisabeth with the Prince Philip (his cousin!) in 1947! I found a picture of the King Michael and Princess Margarita from the ceremony:

    Hope you can see it!
    I'm sorry that your Imperial Family decline the invitation, as you said, this is this and that is that. But in the same time we have to admit that this declination means a great respect for the suffering of the Japanese people!

    Hope you are fine and I wish you a nice weekend and to spend a pleasant time with your special guest tomorrow!
    Love you, my dear Ekaterina!
