Coconuts
The cute cabana boy brought some coconuts for breakfast. I would love to see a video of him climbing the tree to get the coconuts. If I am ever stranded on a tropical island I know who I want with me. ;-)
@Mel. Surely you get a A next time in Algebra, my dear Mel !
@dana. Did you already make an appointment with the medical institution in Bucharest, my dear dana ? ...
It's OK in Tokyo, however it's still hell in AKW.
I think you have own seismic scale from 1 to 12 in Europe and from 1 to 10 in the US. Our seismic scale is from 0 to 7 and every mumber has " major " and " minor ". In March 11 at 14:46, the disastrous areas had 7 or 6ma(major) or 6mi(minor), and we had 5mi in Tokyo and some area in Tokyo had 5ma. The aftershakes we have had since then in Tokyo is below 4. If it is 3, we don't sometimes notice it, but we actually feel it when it is 4. The last one (4) here was about 17 hours ago anyway.
@Ekaterina I should get an A on my next test in Algebra. We are getting into the harder Algebra 2 equations. I love it when they challenge me. I know I got A's on my last 2 Business Admin tests.
I'm getting very frustrated in College Comp now. He just now told us that we have to turn in a portfolio next Wednesday plus a 750 word reflective letter that none of us know how to write. :-( So not a happy camper. Maybe I can switch camps & go to Maui with ALS & JM.
But I've been very busy lately, I've had a lot of housework to do and tomorrow and Saturday after work I have to cook for Easter. Hope you all are fine!
@Ekaterina I'm glad that at least in Tokyo is OK. And I'm glad you have come back to your pupil. I have to tell you that I have visitors again: those two squirrels come from time to time in my fir tree, they are so playful and look happy! lol I didn't make an appointment yet, but I count on my aunt for this. Anyway, she's decided to see me there, even against my will! Haha! Kidding, but she's that one who insists and all I can do is to thank her and to go to check my thyroid, before the summer will come. It's not indicated to have a thyroid surgery in the warm season, the best periods are spring and autumn.
I just read in a news paper about the oldest person in the world, a Japanese, Jiroemon Kimura and he's 114 y. o.!! Impressive!!
Wish you a nice evening and a beautiful spring weekend, my dear Ekaterina! Love you!
@Giffy Your post melted me!!!:)) Thank you so much, my dear Sis! I'd like to be with you too! How are you? How your work goes? How many pairs of shoes did you buy so far? Haha!
I'm fine, thanks, but very tired! I did a lot of things to prepare the house for Easter. My boys help me, but as you know, men have two left hands when it comes about housekeeping, so I have to do more things by myself or I have to be here to tell them what and how to do some things! LOL
How are your boys? Have your Dear Hubby come back home for Easter?
Wish you a happy Easter weekend with your beautiful family! Love you, Sis!
@All I wish you all to have a sunny and happy Easter beside the people you love! And I hope I'll visit the blog more often when I'll not be as busy as now!
@dana. How beautiful you're back here, my dear dana ! Hope you enjoy preparation for Easter ! It's a bit late in Tokyo now, so I'll visit here again tomorrow. Good night. Kisses & Hugs !
@dana. yes, my life is back normal with pupils, friends, and the concerts & operas.
and, it's so nice that the couple of the squirrels visit your fir trees again ! I explained my baby sis about them showing her the pics of the squirrels which I'm sure helpful for her to understand my explanation. ... ;-)))
114 years old man has live through 3 centuries. He lives in the western part of Japan, so I wouldn't think he felt the big shakes in March 11, but he has not only lived through 3 centuries, but also lived at the moment of " Once in 1,000 years " happening in his country.
btw, my dear dana, I suppose you had better ask your aunt to make an appointment at the medical institution in Buchrest as soon as possible, bc such a institution in the big city is always crowded. And in case of surgery, summer comes soon and you have to wait some months for autumn. But it's just in case, and I think you might get some good medicine and might not need the surgery.
Back to normal is fun, but becomes a little bit busier mostly with pleasant things, though.
As you see, Japan is not the Christian nation, so we don't have the Easter custom, while we celebrate X'mas, bc it's the international event now. And even among people here who knows the Easter, lots of them think the Easter is the fixed date as like Christmas Eve 24/12. I cannot believe it, but it's the fact in Japan. ... ;-)))
and, dana, this year the date of the Easter Sunday is the same in Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Church. Am I right ? and is it true that you touch your family and friends with a pussy willow for their happiness ?
Hope you have a happy Easter, my dear dana ! Kisses & Hugs !
@all HAPPY EASTER to everyone! Wish you sunny and peaceful Easter holidays!
@Ekaterina My dear Ekaterina, I'm so happy that you find the strength to go back to your normal life! It's the best thing you could do-to try to live normally!
Of course my aunt will make the appointment, I want to go there. I think of this too, that maybe I'll get just the right treatment and I'll not need surgery. I'm a bit nervous about it! :)
You're perfectly right, my dear Ekaterina, this year, just like last year, we'll celebrate the Easter in the same Sunday as Catholic and Protestant Church. As I know, the date of Easter at Orthodox depends on full moon, but I don't know how they calculate it!
We touch our family and friends with a pussy willow in the Palm Sunday. In the Easter morning the kids and unmarried young girls put one or two red colored eggs and a silver coin in the water when they wash their face, to be healthy, happy and wealthy!:)))
I like the way you behave with your baby sis, you talk to her, you show her pics to make her understand what are you talking about...You're amazing! But did she understand what the squirrels are? :))) How do you know if she understands or not? LOL
I know the Japanese don't celebrate Easter, so I wish you a beautiful sunny weekend, my dear Ekaterina! Kisses & hugs!
P.S. The cherry blossoms has started their show!!! Just wonderful!!
@Giffy. @Mel. @corinna.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I posted mine to the last blog of " plaid ". ...
@corinna.
p.s.
Hope you have a nice weather in Garda !
@all ladies !
Hope you get ready for Easter !
@Corinna Yeah a C isn't bad, but I'm used to A's or B's in Algebra.
ReplyDelete@Ekaterina I think what threw me off was that we had a mid-term over the first 4 chapters in the middle of learning chapter 5.
@Mel.
