The 8th of November

My Dad's best friend is in this video. I forget at what time though. He was killed the day before he was supposed to come home. It's a great video & it's a true story which makes it a great song. It always makes me cry.

    Thanks for a video, Mel. btw, Mel, do you know the Marines are stationed at the base not only in the States, but also overseas ? They station in Okinawa, Japan. Though it is not often broadcasted, I watched it in TV news last year and I knew some of them were dispatched from Okinawa to Afganistan and sadly some of them never returened. I just remembered it by the video. I've never been Okinawa and the Marines base there is the extraterritorial region from our government, but I thought we had better pay more attention to the life who left for the last destination from my country.

  2. Hi Girls, I am in a hurry, but I would so much like to answer you:

    @Mel
    Sorry Mel, call me stupid, but the only words that are going through my mind are:

    Make love, not war!!

    I think wars are never good for all human beings, they are just horrible. Poor young soldiers, families and children.

    @Ekaterina
    Enjoy the evening with the Wiener Philharmoniker! That is absolutely great, I would like to join you.

    @Dana
    Very funny, both commercials. The one with the "shit happens" scene is priceless!LOL

    @All
    Have a beautiful day!

  3. War is all that humanity has the worst and ugliest! So many children without parents and so many mothers childless! It says we have to learn from our past but it seems we make the same mistakes!

    @Mel&Ekaterina US Marines are stationed in Romania too, close to the Black Sea, at Kogalniceanu base, Constanta.

    @Nicoletta Some commercial are awesome! I know some great condoms commercials! LOL But this one with "the bad smell" are just priceless, as you said! Haha!

  4. How do you think Aksel is doing ? I can't imagine it is really proper to do some activities outdoors under the temperature of minus 20C ! even if they put on the warm underwear. But they are doing, possibly the second session in this time. There are always things which I didn't know until I read ALS.

    @dana & Nicoletta.
    Thanks a lot !
    yes it's great to be in the concert by Wiener Philharmoniker, and my friends and I enjoyed it this evening very much.

    Honestly speaking, and I think I had better mention in advance that it is just a matter of one's taste.
    Personally speaking, the top 3 for me are Berliner Philharmoniker, Munchener Philharmoniker, and London Symphony Orchestra, and Wiener Philharmoniker is among the top 5.
    As for Berliner Philharmoniker, I had no real experience of the live concert by Furtwangler and Karajan however, so long as I went to the concerts by Abbado and Rattle, it is the best of the world.

    Talking about your cabbage, I really admire your tenacity! LOL And I'll do anything I can to help you, if you need my advice!

    One of my friends asked me where he can find that kind of underwear? LOL He said it's "cool"! Haha!

    Enjoy the last concert of Wiener Philharmoniker tomorrow!
    Good night Ekaterina! Hugs!

    Thanks, dana !

    Talking about their underwear, it looks at least practical in their " office ". I'm not sure if they always feel comfortable in their spandex. For example the outfit of the speed skater is most comfortable when they skate. That is, it is calculated the best for skating which one must bend one's body. So, I guess the underwear in the pic of ALSis also comfortable when they ski on the slope.

    Have a nice evening with the moderate temperature, dana ! Good night ! Hugs !

  9. @Nicoletta That's why the video makes me cry. It's such a waste of life. The people that have been killed by wars had such promise & potential. I cry everytime I here that some has been killed in a war. I've lost a few people in my family due to wars. Some have never been found.

    @Ekaterina & Dana Yup there are bases all over the world.

    I'm cutting up pumpkins for pies, rolls & puddings. Then I gotta go clean my room some more. After 24 years I have a lot of stuff! I finally got some totes to organize it all. I feel like a bad blog host by just posting blogs & not joining in the conversations. TTYL
