1 mint green Maraschino cherry without stem
1/2 oz Jagermeister
1/2 oz Rumple Minze
Use a large shot glass. Remove stem from one Mint Green Maraschino Cherry and drop in glass. Pour Jagermeister and Rumple Minze.
Captain Crunch
1 part Tequila Rose
1 part Vanilla schnapps
1 part Kahlua
1 part Cream
1 splash Grenadine
Pour all ingredients over ice, shake and strain into a rocks glass.
DeGeneration X
1 oz Tequila
1 oz Jim Beam
1 oz Triple sec
1 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Melon liqueur
1 bottle Zima
Pour liquors in first then add Zima.
The Ricky Martini
1 oz Absolut Peppar
1 oz Absolut Mandrin
1 splash Cointreau
1 splash Cranberry juice

But it´s even harder to bring stuff back. i had 17 kg on the way to australia and 25 on my way back! Still don´t know where i got it from. And all in 1 backpack!

We have something similar to the corn schanpps, I guess! It's called 'vodka ahoi' and I love it! Instead of schnapps we have vodka! I like it best, with strawberry vodka and strawberry sherbet powder! :D

Don't ever try a mai tai either. I had like 10 of them in one day when I went to Hawaii and I spent the entire night sick. Really anything made with rum is on my no list. I will also never touch another espresso martini. Ohh the bad memories!

@Teekanne: You keep talking about soccer so I thought i would ask a question. My youngest (Maggie) who is 5 started playing soccer this month and loves it! She is also doing well at understanding the game beyond "ok everybody go kick the ball". I think this is a sport she would love to stick with and btw this child loves to run so it seems like a good fit. The question is...How young is too young to get her private lessons? Do you think I should wait a couple more years or is it never too early to start?

privat lessons? like having a coach on her own? i don´t think that this really works. soccer is a team sport so you learn better espacially in this age by playing with or against others.
in germany a lot of kids play soccer in school while breaks or after school with friends. a lot kids even learn from their parents so there is no need for privat lessions in that age (the dads are mostly giving privat lessons) ;-).
I think as in all sports it´s good to learn the basics don´t know if there are any other possibilities besides privat lessons?! Isn´t there a neighbor who could teach a little bit?
From my cousin i know that it´s already quite expensive to let the kids play in a team. Here it´s really cheap (70Euro for a year!)
10 kg... i´m just going for a week!! You have to focus on the main stuff.. haha. i don´t know if it will work. i´ll let you know! but when i was in london last year i had like 15 kg and didn´t need half of the stuff.

@Mel I think sherbet is more like those candies with the fizzy stuff inside. I haven't had them in 100 years but I think they were called something like Zotz. It sounds like a cross between Pixie Sticks and Pop Rocks to me.

There is a drink that is made with pop rocks ...

Rim a Martini Glass with Lemon Slice and dip glass in Pop Rocks to coat rim ...
fill a shaker with Ice and Add
1 oz Chambord® raspberry liqueur
1 oz Stolichnaya® raspberry vodka
1 oz Sweet & Sour Mix
splash of sugar water
Shake contents and strain liquid into prepared Martini Glass.
These are really yummy...tastes kinda like Raspberry Lemonade with a kick, and the pop rocks makes for great fun when drinking ...
I put myself thru college by being a Bartender ... Best Damn Job I ever Had! ... I still moonlight sometimes, just cuz its so much fun and you can make good money!

Hi baby! How are you? I'm afraid to drink some thing on the list above! I usually don't drink, but if I go to a party I take a beer or a martini or a glass of wine or champagne! But I know a quick treatment for the ones who drink too much. They'll be sober in 30 minutes: 6 tsp of honey- one of every 5 minutes! I have a friend who use this and it works out every time!

ReplyDeleteI wish I had known that honey trick last weekend. I had a never-ending glass of wine Thursday night and I almost fell over in the elevator on the way back to my room. Then I was sick Friday morning. I am off the booze for a while!

the most embarrassing thing I have done was when I was hungover once on a skiing holiday...i had been on one too many chairlifts....all that swinging back and to...and guess what....i was sick!! i missed everyone on the chairlift with me but i couldnt say the same for the poor skiers below!!!....lol
