New Hair Cut

My hair last April.
My hair before surgery.
My hair now. It hasn't been this short in 8 years! I think I may keep it short for awhile. It's so much easier to take care of. I can wash it myself now. LOL Tomorrow is the first day of school & I'm super excited! My shouldar is doing good & I can almost get my arm the same level as my shouldar!

@Ekaterina My new bed is very nice & comfy. It's so high that my feet don't touch the floor!

    You're so pretty, Mel !
Actually I like your beautiful long hair, but you look nice with both long & short.
I think you look more positive with short hair, and your charming smile can be more appealing with short hair like this.

happy to know you're well, Mel ! and the new bed seems cool !

Hope you enjoy the first day at school tomorrow, our dar Mel ! Hugs !

I'm pleased with collecting info about the cheese. Checking and checking, and I'll show you here on Sunday the list of my cheese purchase on Monday.

I'm not here at the time of TRA today, but I wish the weather in Kitz will be better for the run.

    @dana.

Thanks for the link of Obatzer, I didn't know that cheese. Seems to be one of the real exots, like the Schabziger!
I forgot the Bergkäse, always good, always tasty. Love it too!

Your dad seems to be a real Bavarian original (like we call it).

Wish you a great weekend at Kitz, hopefully with some unforgettable pics. Thank you in advance, Corinna!

Thanks for the History of Cheesemaking! Very interesting, indeed! We have some specific sorts of cheese too, like Cascaval (kashcaval), Telemea, Cas, Branza de burduf.
If you or Ekaterina want to know more about our cheese you can take a look here:

Have a pleasant day, dear Nicoletta! Hugs!

Thanks for the link about Romanian cuisine. This cuisine as well as cheese is practically unknown to me.
I am off to work and will read about it in the evening.

Re cheese: it looks like if in the past there was a cow, a sheep or a goat "the making of cheese" was not far away.

    Have a nice afternoon, Dana!
    See you.

I'm back. I was back here about 1 hour ago. I played with my little sis for a while and she slept. Then I settled here in my room and opened my pc, and I had a telephone call from my friend. And at last I'm going to write my text.

I'm back from the concert of NHK Symphony Orchestra, the best Orchestra in Japan.
Tonight's program was all Brahms. In fact it's not unusual, but tonight's program was really something. Because the usual all Brahms program includes one concerto or one symphony, but it did not tonight. Also tonight's program, all 3 works have relation with other composer.

    Here is the program.
    *Ungarische Tanze, No.17,18,19,20,21.
As you know, the original music was composed for 4 hands ( 2 pianos ), but Brahms later arranged it for the orchestral work, but not all of them. The Pieces from No.17 to No.21 were arranged by Dvorak.
*Variation uber ein Thema von Haydn.
    .....Intermission
*Piano Quartet No.1 arranged for the orchestral work by Arnold Schonberg ( in 1937 ).

    continues.....

So, tonight's concert, the 1693th Subscription Concert by NHK SYmphony Orchestra was really unique.

The concert tonight was very successful, in spite of very tough and delicate program.
The " bravo " call seldom happens to conductor after the first half, but it happened tonight.
During intermission, people talked about the conductor tonight with full respect.

The success of tonight's concert was expected by some audience and I was one of them.

Do you think I have to mention his name ? dana ? .....

  12. @dana.

Ion Marin, is his name, dana.
He is honestly great. You must be so much pround of him and I'm very proud of being friend of a girl from his country !

I'm going to take a bath, then get into my bed.
I'll check all th links here and ALS about cheese & Aksel tomorrow !
Have a nice evening, my dear dana ! Good night.
    Kisses & Hugs !

I was sure it was about something related to Romania!!! But I didn't know what! LOL
I'm so glad you enjoyed the concert, I think it was a real delight to you!
Unfortunately Ion Marin lives now in Austria or in Switzerland, I'm not sure! But he studied at George Enescu Academy in Bucharest! Shame on me, but I don't know very much about him, except that he's very talented and very appreciate as a conductor! And that he earned some Grammy nomination!

You made me very proud, my dear Ekaterina! Thank you!
Have a restful night near your little Ekaterina and a beautiful new day! Kisses and hugs!

I am admiring the Romanian cuisine, because you have such a big variety of vegetables and salads prepared in wonderful variations.

Also roasted meat and different stews look very nice. Interesting Fish dishes and pies.

Not to forget the cheese! They look very interesting too. Some remind me of Feta cheese. Especially sheep cheese, creamy and soft kind of cheese, also cottage cheese. Very different to Swiss cheese in general.

For me the similarity with Turkish, Hungarian evt. Yugoslavian cuisine is obviously.

Romanian cuisine looks very nice, tasty and wonderfully homemade kind of cuisine. Love it very much, dear Dana.

    Good night & sweet dreams!
    See you tomorrow, Dana.

  18. I had a great day at school. I like all my teachers so far. I'll meet the other teacher on friday. I think I'm gonna go to bed I've been up since 5 this morning. I tried to post this morning while I was at school, but it didn't work. My business admin. teacher wants us to bring our laptops to school. He's funny & he talk a mile a minute. LOL I'm gonna enjoy being in his class. Plus in my writing class our research paper is going to be on the paranormal. That's so up my alley! I love the paranormal. Hopefully the writing class helps me write better blogs. LOL

    Thank you very much!
I believe every nation has many special things in its culture, art or cuisine, but these things are not very well known by the others, or they are not known at all!
I don't know how other ppl in Europe or in the world are, but we kept the tradition of our homemade cuisine. I think there are just a few women here that they don't cook at home, even if they eat pretty often to the restaurant as well.
About the cheese, I have to tell you I have a relative married a Dutch guy and he said he has never eat such a good cheese like the Romanian one! LOL And we looked at him like he was joking, we know the Dutch cheese is famous! And he said he's very serious and that nowhere in Europe the tomatoes are as tasty as in Romania. And I know why, we don't feed them with chemicals and we prefer to buy the vegetables directly from the Romanian farmers.
He also like our sausages! And roe salad! And "salata de boeuf", and "salata de vinete"...
Or this guy is simply very hungry! Hahaha!

I'm sure your cuisine is as rich as ours, maybe more sophisticated and refined!

Have a beautiful day, my dear Nicoletta! Hugs and kisses!

Hope your shoulder is going better, dear Mel!

I enjoyed reading how you were ( and are ) excited about your school, Mel ! You made a really good start at school and I find it so nice !
looking forward to your next entry here. ( after you finish homework, of course ! )

I understand what you're trying to say.
But, I think a bit differently, dana. Ion Marin lives in foreign country ( now in Switzerland ) and his nationality is Austria. But it is not unfortunate for you, bc everybody knows he is from Romania. The fact he left Romania for several reasons does not matter, and he can come & go whenever he likes.
And if he does not own his house in Romania, Prince Charles has his own instead. right ?

I love to join the conversation about cheese, meals, Aksel, and so on with you, dana, Nicoletta, corinna, Mel, and others of course, but it's a little busy this week. I follow you later.

Kisses & Hugs ! my dear dana !

no, no. That guy isn't hungry. As Nicoletta says Romanian meals are just nice.

The reason I'm a little busy is that I'm going to make next Monday off for DARIE and my cheese hunting.

Hahaha! You're simply amazing!!! Where do you know from that Prince Charles has a house in Romania??? Yes, he has and he visits our country pretty often during the year! And it seems he's delighted by nature, by the small villages... His house is a traditional one in a village in Transylvania.

I understand you're busy, but you know we're waiting for you here! So take your time and do what you have to do, we can talk later about anything you want!

Have a pleasant evening and not a very tiresome end of week! Hugs!
