Boys Will Be Boys...LMAO
It started out innocently enough... Then it took a turn for the gutter...
*rolls on the floor with laughter* They look so proud of their monument to manhood...too bad they had to change the shape of it though...*busts out laughing*
@Mel And I hope your shoulder is better bc Brandon takes good care of you! I'm fine, thanks, especially when I read your lines under the pics!!! LOL You rock, girl!!
I still wonder, they did this big and "firm" (to quote from them) monument with their bared hands!!!! *wink* Are they waiting that the girls will venerate it? Hahaha! Sorry, I can't do more than laugh! But I like their proud and delighted faces! lol
After having some interesting talks (and obviously a lot of fun) about an immense scuplture built up in Canada, I thought it is time to speak about another history subject.
Do you know already Frederick II of the Stauffers, German emperior, raised in Palermo, Sicily?
I saw lately a very interesting documentation with stunning pictures about this great men as well as the area, art and especially his interesting life.
Frederick II was a very cultivated man and he was able to speak six languages: Latin, Sicilian, German, French, Greek and Arabic and knew a lot about all this cultures and as well as about different sciences. His absolute hobby was the raise of falcons.
Furthermore he gained Jerusalem back for the Christs without using his sword. And last but not least, he loved women very much (look at his Familiy list in the wiki link beneath), and must have been a lovely and interesting person.
The documentation is in German, not boring and has beautiful pictures and impressions:

Friedrich II is famous figure even for us as one of the Holly Roman Emperors who had the international sense of what is important. It came from the international or the mixed atmosphere in Palermo those days. He was a very open- minded person and also a maverick, I think. Actually, the level of the science in some fields in the Islamic world was higher than that in the Christian world in his time.
btw, though you may not believe it, Nicoletta, one of my neighbors keeps the falcon ! Papa ( the owner ) is a hair-stylist and often let Candy ( a name of the he-falcon ) fly with his hand the thick leather glove.
@Ekaterina I guess your cabbage listened to you and it has not much till it will be ready for the great "event"! I'm glad for you!:)) Hope to be as healthy as I am now, thanks, you too!

@Nicoletta Thank you for the links! I told you I'm just an amateur in many domains but the documentary was very interesting, like Ekaterina I more guessed the contents but I did understand it! Unfortunately I haven't found anything in Romanian about Friedrich II but I understand much more from Wikipedia than from the documentary! I'd like my English to be better, I try my best!

@Corinna Brandon is a pharmacist at my store. One night when he was leaving he said right in my ear 'Have a good night.' Tuesday when I came in to file my perscription he was there. He was all Miss this & Miss that. He was very sweet & attentive. He asked if I had taken naprox before & I said yeah a few years ago for my wrist. Any other pharmacist would have said ok & went back to what he was doing. Not Brandon he proceeded to tell me to make sure to eat something when I took the meds because I could get a tummy ache. He's cute, a little taller than me, a full head of gorgeous coal black hair & greyish brown eyes. I've never seen greyish brown eyes before. Now that your all caught up. Are you feeling any better?
@dana. The brine has become more turbid. But I'm wondering it may be a little early to advance to the second stage this weekend, though it's not too early to start. The smell is not sharp, but mild , I think. and the brine does not taste sour. I'm going to prepare all the materials tomorrow.
@Ekaterina Hello my dear Ekaterina! My advice is to wait a little more till the brine become sour enough. So there's no rush to prepare the materials tomorrow. Or I better ask you what do you mean "to prepare" them? Buy them or what? Today I was thinking of you and I realized I didn't tell you we use a Romanian cabbage, with thin leaves, easy to roll! I don't know what kind of cabbage you have there, but if the leaves are thick you can make the sarmale a little bigger, the size it doesn't matter especially when you make this for the first time in your life! LOL And is important to remove the rib of the leaf. Keep in touch!

Anyhow it is my first experience in life, and I'm thinking already I'll make it several times during this winter. As for the cabbage, ours is also thin, and soft. Even the rib is thin.

They actually drive on the beach in Daytona. We usually like the Gulf side of FL but they had the oil spill you know. I guess it's cleaned up? It was my Mom's 75th birthday.

@Dana My Mom is very young looking also, no gray hair. She is actually dating a guy (if you can be 75 and dating?) named Pete whom I met last week. We called him Pistol Pete and and make our fingers into guns and said "Pew, Pew, Pew," like an old western movie. She has a daschund named Mr. Wyndall and I like him better than Pete.
@Corinna I had to google translate verwegen, "dangerous/daring". I love learning new German terms and looking them up. I still remember rose colored glasses and winter of the century. TYVM

@am the race is at 11:30 on saturday local time and at 19:30 european time and on sunday at 11:00 local time and 19:00 european time!

@Giffy I lost my mom in 2007. Heart attack, terrible too! My dad looks younger than 76, he rides his bike to the market and back EVERY DAY!!! I don't know how he can, sometimes even I feel bad and I have something that hurts, my back, a knee, something...

We called him Pistol Pete and and make our fingers into guns and said "Pew, Pew, Pew," like an old western movie. She has a daschund named Mr. Wyndall and I like him better than Pete.

@dana no, but maybe tomorrow, when my girls stop fighting! two of them are sisters, the older one getting knowing the other guy i told you! and now this is afraid of it when her younger sister (which is always going out with us, with out problems and always fun) would go out with us that this guy are take care more about the sis then her! now both are fighting! i told the younger one i talk with the older one and i did it, and the older one said ok yes we take her with us i tell her, but she didn´t yet is the younger one pissed off of me bc she tought i didn´t talked to her sis! damn why can´t say talk to each other????
