New Career Option #23: Bike Racer
I think he fits in very well with the pros. I bet everybody thought he was one of the pros.
@Mel No, it's not just you, I have the same problem with Kjetil's blog! It's like he has no homepage anymore, it shows a sponsors list, or something like that...
Aksel looks great among all those pro bikers! And I love his smile, I missed it these days!
@Dana Yeah That's what shows up on my computer. I just tried it again & it finally came up! I wonder if maybe too many people tried to get on his blog at one time & it crashed or maybe they were doing some maintenance.
..... It seems the time has come ..... the time to confess ! .....
First of all, I'm glad Aksel came back to the blog after 7.22, and he enjoys the bike ride.
And here is my confession, don't be upset, but I cannot ride a bike. I mean I've never. I think it is simply because the only one child moves with parents by a car, and also only because the location I've lived is not good for a bike ride, bc it's not safe for kids. Generally speaking, there is no roads only for the bike in Japan, except some big parks in the countryside. So people must ride a bike with cars including the big vehicle or ride a bike on the sidewalk with people. But I've got the driving license and I've once taken the lesson for the horseback riding. I think I can manage with " 4 ". Actually there are many bike accidents around me, and there are no custom for riders in the city to put on the protection. But reading how @dana enjoys the bike ride, I feel I enjoy it with her !
I woke up at shortly before 04:00 this morning due to the earthquake. ( SIGH ) The actual spot is near the same as 3.11, but no serious damages are reported. Only 2 persons slightly hurt.

You're so sweet to confess that you can't ride a bike! It's OK, my dear Ekaterina, I can't do so other many things... I can't swim, I have no driving license, I can't ski... But I promise you that every time I'll go biking I'll think of you and I'll make a few kilometers for you!! What a pity you can't feel what I feel in those moments! And I like to ride my bike in peaceful places, not in the crowd of the city, to see all this beautiful green of the woods in the summer sun!

@corinna. It was not the thunderstorm, but the heavy rain. So the flood hit some areas in the north !

@ekaterina well i think maybe that i will see him again! i have such a feeling! you know the bar where i go out on the mountain and you have to know that there is a bar and that´s why you drove up there and when i be sure that they knew that there is bar up there, bc they had a 280 km drive behind them and this took over 3 hours! i looked it up on google earth map planing!so i think that they will come back!

I speak with experience, I had a really cool girl friend, she was so good in starting connections in a very natural and charming way, like in a pub or so! So we had always a good time going out.

Riding the bike on holidays sounds nice, but it is said it's too late to start it after at 12 years old. ... ;-))) and I think it is right. But. my baby sis may be capable of it, bc she is still 7 years old. ... ;-))) !!!

@Ekaterina Haha! I would love to see your baby Sis ride a bike! Wonder if there's a video of that? You know they make bikes with 2 extra wheels on the back to stabilized them for learners. We call them training wheels. Also, there are three wheel bikes called tricycles. I'm glad you liked the video, I wondered if you would be a hair flipper! Men love that! That's what I would do but I'm not allowed to date. :)
@Corinna I was wondering as I mowed the lawn today if the Flirt Guy, (what shall we call him? Joe?) saw you get in your man magnet car. If so, I'm sure he's written down your numbers and putting all US military resources to work to find out your address! He may show up at your door so watch out. @Ekaterina Never say never! If you have patience, you can learn biking in a few days in your summer holiday! But as I told you before, you don't have to be ashamed that you can't ride a bike, you are very good on so other many things and I admire you so much for this!

btw, Giffy, have you seen the bicycle built for eight ? I think it has another name and it's not actually bicycle. But it is bicycle. (???) Let me explain about it. I saw it in Berlin and Prague last summer. The saddle, pedal, wheel and handle look the same as the normal one, but those 8 bikes are connected like a circle. I'm not sure if I explain it well, but the group of 8 riders looked enjoying that vehicle, though it looked also apparently hard to control it.
@dana. & @Giffy. I can do it, of course. !!!!! I mean all girls can do it. but I didn't have that idea. The trick makes people happy like that. I suppose they put on something like drumstics on their front.

I've just come back from a biking trip! Today I made 22km and my dear @Ekaterina, bc you're a beginner, I made just 5 km for you and my work mate and friend Haruian (who helped me to make those videos for Aksel's BD) said to tell you that he made 2km for you as well!!! So you made today 7km riding a bike!!!! Congratulations!!! It was a pleasure to do this to you and I thought of you all the time, especially when I saw beautiful views! I guess you'll sleep like a baby tonight!!:)))
I'm exhausted, I told you I live in a hilly region so it's not very easy to go biking or walking by the bike on the hills! But I feel so damn well! I love it!

I've been busy those days getting ready for my holidays. I think I have more things to do this year than the previous years for the period of my absence here. I have to think lots of things " in case of what, what, what ". The Meterological Agency warns the another big earthquake which is not so big as 3.11, but around M7 to M8 in some months. It may come today, tomorrow, or next month, nobody knows it.

I always think I want to say anything here purely honestly, and * The confession #2 * Since 3.11 , people in Japan has pretended to be OK, but we've actually depressed so much. The biggest cause is the low ability of our government. Its policy is like butterflies from flower to flower.
During my absence at home, the live-in housekeeping woman takes care of my baby sister. My dad can do it, too, but it's better for my baby sis to have two persons while I'm not at home. Please do not laugh, my dear Giffy, but every time I have holidays, I send picture-postcards to Ekaterina and the housekeeping woman reads it for her, bc she cannot read it... ;-)))
@Nicoletta I am so glad you found a nice purse and always glad when anyone thinks of me. Is it what we call cordovan color? Which is sort of a red leather? I always wanted a red purse and my sons when younger always said, "No devil purse." I've never had a red one...LOL

@Nicoletta. I understand about so many cards, Nicolettchen. It seems it increases without awareness. After reading your comment, I checked how many cards in my purse right now. ... It's 34. My purse is the present from my parents' friend and I've taken it with me for 14 years. When she handed it to me, she said " It's convenient, bc it has many pockets. " I didn't understand what she talked about then, but of course I understand it correctly now. I remember she also said, " It's so solid. " It's GOLD PFEIL and the color is very dark blue almost like black. It's fat now. ... ;-))) I have two purses and another one is also the present from my parents' another friend. This one is slim, so I take it with me only during the travel, bc I need only credit cards during my holidays abroad. It's HERMES and the color is chocolate brown. And one more purse, but it's for the household and it is in the kitchen. It's again also the present, this one is from one of my friends. The color is lavender and it's smaller than other two. I don't know why, but it seems many Japanese people thinks the purse is going to be the good present. In fact, I don't remember I bought any purses for me, but bought several as the gift to my friends. Just funny ! ... ;-)))

@Ekaterina You are so right that summer is short. We should get outside and enjoy. My dear Ekaterina, you are fortunate to have very good friends. I don't think anyone has ever given me a purse. Yours sound beautiful. I've bought all my own purses but cheap ones, not expensive. I think your baby Sis has been watching and learning how to get on the computer, and may post something here. Today is actually overcast and cloudy with a chance of a new chapter of Dana and the Doctor later. I'm stuck in the house waiting for a serviceman to come and tell us if we have squirrels in our attic. I keep hearing scratching noises and hope it's not bats. They will catch them live and release in the wild. I probably have Detroit gangster squirrels in my attic and they will be released further west.
@ekaterina i have not only the two purses i post, i have also two real small one just for my credit card and drivers lisenece and to get in some money when i go out!

Chapter 9 Dana and the Doctor walk towards the motorcycle. “No, just kidding. We’re not going to Poenari Citadel. All that’s left at Poenari is a ruin. Do you think I would take you to the most haunted place on earth? Certainly not. I don’t want any vampires to get their hands on you. Besides, we can’t possibly drive that far in a day, “ says the Doctor with a wink! “I like to keep an eye on the weather.” He says as he squints up into the sun, “ I was checking the weather forecast and it looks like rain south of here later today so we’ve got to drive north to get our fun in now.” “I am completely in your capable hands, but where are we going?” grins Dana. She was musing that he put a lot of thought into their day. “We are going to ride the circuit on E60 from Campina to the Sinaia region on forest roads. We’ll go to the top of the mountain, absorb the extraordinary landscape and take some beautiful pictures to post on my website. We will cross many streams and rivers. “
Dana was amazed the doctor had a website, or knew of the most beautiful areas in the heart of Romania, areas unseen by many local people. “OK, great plan, let’s go!” said Dana. She popped her helmet on her head, not wanting to waste any time and remembered how to lift her leg high in the air like you just don’t care and hop on the bike. She gave him a look that was like, what are you waiting for? It actually didn’t matter where they went as long as she was with the Doctor. He hoped easily on the bike as well and started it up. This time not only did Dana grab the Doctor around the waist she wrapped her arms all the way around and clasped her hands together as if in prayer. “Bless me!” she whispered. (LOL) Dana held on tight as the Doctor navigated the roads. She loved the feeling of being so near him on the bike. At one point she rested her head on his back. He smelled delicious and was very warm to touch. She had to keep her wits together today because she just wanted this feeling to last. The road that they travelled on was constantly changing, from easy forest roads to mountain roads, over rocks, mud or meadows. They rode up and down hills and mountains with spectacular scenery. Sometimes she changed the position of her hands to hold his belt loops or rub his shoulders. She took full advantage of holding on here or there, the motorcycle was an excellent excuse to explore his back. She enjoyed so much the dusty country roads, dark forest roads, mountain peaks and alpine sunny meadows. They passed another couple on a Harley. Dana could swear the man looked like Steve Lee from Gotthard, and she thought of the song “Let it Rain.” It couldn’t be Steve although he was riding with a passenger, a stunning woman with a Switzerland flag sewn on the back of her jacket.
At lunch time they decided to stop at a guest house near Sinaia Monastery. http://www.romanianmonasteries.org/other-monasteries/sinaia-monastery The Doctor said, “we'll have a beer or a Romanian wine and we'll talk about what you like most about motorcycle riding. We can order traditional “sarmale with polenta”, or have delicious traditional pancakes with natural fruits jams and drink the famous strong “tuica”, “palinca” or taste country made wine!” Dana said, “I think I’ll have a Romanian şniţel and glass of wine. Thank you!” But she was thinking what she liked most about motorcycle riding was the Doctor. Dana couldn’t wait to see Sinaia Monastery. It had been years since she’d been there. Every now and then the Doctor would touch her hand when he was talking or tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear. He was very attentive to her every wish. The lunch hour passed pleasantly. They talked of many things and enjoyed people watching. There was a US soldier at the bar who kept watching and walking by a very pretty young tourist seated at the next table with a group of friends. Dana could tell the young man wanted to say something to the beautiful young woman but he was too shy. The young woman was checking him out and pretending she was looking at her cell phone messages. The whole time the girl’s friends were making all sorts of crazy faces. Dana wondered if the soldier would ever work up the courage to say hello to the pretty young tourist. When they got to The Sinaia Monastery the Doctor said, “Dana I have a surprise for you.” Dana says, “Is it a cat?” The Doctor says, “No it is not a cat, but that is a good guess. I have a surprise for you and it helps to know people in high places and have the right contacts. Did you know there used to be Mineral spas developed around naturally occurring mineral springs that are very beneficial to your health. There used to be just such a spa here at Sinaia Monastey.” Dana said, “Really?” The Doctor says, “I hope you brought a bathing suit! You’re going to get wet!”
You're simply phenomenal!!! Reading you new chapter it's like I feel every touch you mention: my hand on his shoulders, on his back, all around his body, his hand on my hand, on my hair... I hear even his sensual voice and I feel his delicious smell and his warmth! LMAO And how do you know that here are many years since I'd been there? This is very true!! I'm really impressed that you've documented so well about the Monastery, the Romanian food and you made me meet Nicoletta and Corinna! Haha! I'm really impressed by your talent and the way you write! Very natural, there's nothing forced on your story! And I'm very proud to be the main female character in it, beside such a handsome Doctor!! Yummy!
I don't understand very well, in the end of chapter 9 we're dancing? I'd like him to hold me tight in his strong arms and I can put my arms around his neck!!

@Corinna I think you're right. I should go back and print out all the chapters for myself and then I could keep track. I have started writing them in a word doc so I'll try to do better and take more time thinking about it. Good practice for me. When do you go on your trip? Soon I hope. I think I was teasing you about kicking your leg up in the air when you danced after drinking to much wine, although I don't really know how you dance? Anything can happen in fiction. Good thing it's just practice writing among friends. So much time has passed in real life but in the novel you've only known the Doctor a day or two! Doesn't seem possible? In the next chapter you are getting a thermal spa and slight swim lesson...floating and something more. How do Romanians feel about nudity? haha!

Did you apply for 3 more jobs ? I firmly think you can sell your great ability of writing, Giffy ! The success point of the novel is how much the writer shows the charm of heroine or hero and how much the writer introduces the attractive scene to the readers. And the natural flow of the story is indispensable, bc it's fiction, and it's the writer's skill that makes it look more like reality. The timing of episodes of Nicolettchen and corinna is really perfect, Giffy, and it is situated very natural ! You're so much gifted, dear Giffy, I can't wait for the chapter 11 !

It's true. *She loves music and her long tail moves with the rhythm. *She hates the sound of telephone and door bell. She scares the sound of thunder, too. *She is proud of her ability which can run faster than any of her family and can make high jumps. *She is very interested in the tool box of the electric repair men, and also the guest's belongings. When a guest leaves the room for a while, she concentrates on checking the belongings and I feel I'm in the police office.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I'm glad Aksel came back to the blog after 7.22, and he enjoys the bike ride.
And here is my confession, don't be upset, but I cannot ride a bike. I mean I've never. I think it is simply because the only one child moves with parents by a car, and also only because the location I've lived is not good for a bike ride, bc it's not safe for kids.
Generally speaking, there is no roads only for the bike in Japan, except some big parks in the countryside. So people must ride a bike with cars including the big vehicle or ride a bike on the sidewalk with people.
But I've got the driving license and I've once taken the lesson for the horseback riding.
I think I can manage with " 4 ".
Actually there are many bike accidents around me, and there are no custom for riders in the city to put on the protection.
But reading how @dana enjoys the bike ride, I feel I enjoy it with her !
I woke up at shortly before 04:00 this morning due to the earthquake. ( SIGH ) The actual spot is near the same as 3.11, but no serious damages are reported. Only 2 persons slightly hurt.

Let me explain about it. I saw it in Berlin and Prague last summer. The saddle, pedal, wheel and handle look the same as the normal one, but those 8 bikes are connected like a circle. I'm not sure if I explain it well, but the group of 8 riders looked enjoying that vehicle, though it looked also apparently hard to control it.

Since 3.11 , people in Japan has pretended to be OK, but we've actually depressed so much.
The biggest cause is the low ability of our government. Its policy is like butterflies from flower to flower.
During my absence at home, the live-in housekeeping woman takes care of my baby sister. My dad can do it, too, but it's better for my baby sis to have two persons while I'm not at home. My purse is the present from my parents' friend and I've taken it with me for 14 years. When she handed it to me, she said " It's convenient, bc it has many pockets. " I didn't understand what she talked about then, but of course I understand it correctly now. I remember she also said, " It's so solid. "
It's GOLD PFEIL and the color is very dark blue almost like black. It's fat now. ... ;-)))
I have two purses and another one is also the present from my parents' another friend. This one is slim, so I take it with me only during the travel, bc I need only credit cards during my holidays abroad. It's HERMES and the color is chocolate brown. And one more purse, but it's for the household and it is in the kitchen. It's again also the present, this one is from one of my friends. The color is lavender and it's smaller than other two.
I don't know why, but it seems many Japanese people thinks the purse is going to be the good present. In fact, I don't remember I bought any purses for me, but bought several as the gift to my friends. Just funny ! ... ;-)))

ReplyDelete@Ekaterina You are so right that summer is short. We should get outside and enjoy. My dear Ekaterina, you are fortunate to have very good friends. I don't think anyone has ever given me a purse. Yours sound beautiful. I've bought all my own purses but cheap ones, not expensive. I think your baby Sis has been watching and learning how to get on the computer, and may post something here. My pc is a desk top too. I love the idea of ALS as a weatherman. That is a show I would not miss...I think Dana must be on another bike ride for you.
Today is actually overcast and cloudy with a chance of a new chapter of Dana and the Doctor later. I'm stuck in the house waiting for a serviceman to come and tell us if we have squirrels in our attic. I keep hearing scratching noises and hope it's not bats. They will catch them live and release in the wild. I probably have Detroit gangster squirrels in my attic and they will be released further west.

Chapter 9
ReplyDeleteDana and the Doctor walk towards the motorcycle. “No, just kidding. We’re not going to Poenari Citadel. All that’s left at Poenari is a ruin. Do you think I would take you to the most haunted place on earth? Certainly not. I don’t want any vampires to get their hands on you. Besides, we can’t possibly drive that far in a day, “ says the Doctor with a wink!
“I like to keep an eye on the weather.” He says as he squints up into the sun, “ I was checking the weather forecast and it looks like rain south of here later today so we’ve got to drive north to get our fun in now.”
“I am completely in your capable hands, but where are we going?” grins Dana. She was musing that he put a lot of thought into their day.
“We are going to ride the circuit on E60 from Campina to the Sinaia region on forest roads. We’ll go to the top of the mountain, absorb the extraordinary landscape and take some beautiful pictures to post on my website. We will cross many streams and rivers. “
Dana was amazed the doctor had a website, or knew of the most beautiful areas in the heart of Romania, areas unseen by many local people.
“OK, great plan, let’s go!” said Dana. She popped her helmet on her head, not wanting to waste any time and remembered how to lift her leg high in the air like you just don’t care and hop on the bike. She gave him a look that was like, what are you waiting for? It actually didn’t matter where they went as long as she was with the Doctor.
He hoped easily on the bike as well and started it up. This time not only did Dana grab the Doctor around the waist she wrapped her arms all the way around and clasped her hands together as if in prayer. “Bless me!” she whispered. (LOL)
Dana held on tight as the Doctor navigated the roads. She loved the feeling of being so near him on the bike. At one point she rested her head on his back. He smelled delicious and was very warm to touch. She had to keep her wits together today because she just wanted this feeling to last. The road that they travelled on was constantly changing, from easy forest roads to mountain roads, over rocks, mud or meadows. They rode up and down hills and mountains with spectacular scenery. Sometimes she changed the position of her hands to hold his belt loops or rub his shoulders. She took full advantage of holding on here or there, the motorcycle was an excellent excuse to explore his back. She enjoyed so much the dusty country roads, dark forest roads, mountain peaks and alpine sunny meadows. They passed another couple on a Harley. Dana could swear the man looked like Steve Lee from Gotthard, and she thought of the song “Let it Rain.” It couldn’t be Steve although he was riding with a passenger, a stunning woman with a Switzerland flag sewn on the back of her jacket.

The Doctor said, “we'll have a beer or a Romanian wine and we'll talk about what you like most about motorcycle riding. We can order traditional “sarmale with polenta”, or have delicious traditional pancakes with natural fruits jams and drink the famous strong “tuica”, “palinca” or taste country made wine!”
Dana said, “I think I’ll have a Romanian şniţel and glass of wine. Thank you!” But she was thinking what she liked most about motorcycle riding was the Doctor.
Dana couldn’t wait to see Sinaia Monastery. It had been years since she’d been there. Every now and then the Doctor would touch her hand when he was talking or tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear. He was very attentive to her every wish. The lunch hour passed pleasantly. They talked of many things and enjoyed people watching.
There was a US soldier at the bar who kept watching and walking by a very pretty young tourist seated at the next table with a group of friends. Dana could tell the young man wanted to say something to the beautiful young woman but he was too shy. The young woman was checking him out and pretending she was looking at her cell phone messages. The whole time the girl’s friends were making all sorts of crazy faces. Dana wondered if the soldier would ever work up the courage to say hello to the pretty young tourist.
When they got to The Sinaia Monastery the Doctor said, “Dana I have a surprise for you.”
Dana says, “Is it a cat?”
The Doctor says, “No it is not a cat, but that is a good guess. I have a surprise for you and it helps to know people in high places and have the right contacts. Did you know there used to be Mineral spas developed around naturally occurring mineral springs that are very beneficial to your health. There used to be just such a spa here at Sinaia Monastey.”
Dana said, “Really?”
The Doctor says, “I hope you brought a bathing suit! You’re going to get wet!”
And I always like to leave you with some music at the end of a chapter. Maybe that will be my niche...

@Corinna I think you're right. I should go back and print out all the chapters for myself and then I could keep track. I have started writing them in a word doc so I'll try to do better and take more time thinking about it. Good practice for me. When do you go on your trip? Soon I hope. I think I was teasing you about kicking your leg up in the air when you danced after drinking to much wine, although I don't really know how you dance? Anything can happen in fiction. Good thing it's just practice writing among friends. So much time has passed in real life but in the novel you've only known the Doctor a day or two! Doesn't seem possible? In the next chapter you are getting a thermal spa and slight swim lesson...floating and something more. How do Romanians feel about nudity? haha!

The success point of the novel is how much the writer shows the charm of heroine or hero and how much the writer introduces the attractive scene to the readers. And the natural flow of the story is indispensable, bc it's fiction, and it's the writer's skill that makes it look more like reality.
The timing of episodes of Nicolettchen and corinna is really perfect, Giffy, and it is situated very natural !

*She likes to eat her foods from my hand.
*She often wants me to " walk " in the way she does, so my knees are polished. ... ;-)))
*She let me know after she finishes " toilet ", and I clean it.
*She speaks. Normally it starts with " n " or " m ", but she is also good at starting with " k " and " w ". It's true.
*She loves music and her long tail moves with the rhythm.
*She hates the sound of telephone and door bell. She scares the sound of thunder, too.
*She is proud of her ability which can run faster than any of her family and can make high jumps.
*She is very interested in the tool box of the electric repair men, and also the guest's belongings. When a guest leaves the room for a while, she concentrates on checking the belongings and I feel I'm in the police office.
