But you can be proud of the country and its people, my dear AM, as you used to do before 07.22 bc I firmly think Norway is very peaceful country and the image I have about Norwegian remains the same as before 07.22 , that is, Norwegian people are far from violence. They are internationally very friendly and keep the justice.
So, I don't want you to be depressed so much.

Hey Ladies! Hello! Haven't felt like posting lately. I was in shock about our dear Norway and its people. Why? Nothing for me to say that hasn't been said except we feel so much closer to the tragedy because of our dear Norwegian friends. I saw an interview of a young women from the Island who was shot in the leg and played "dead." Even though she was probably in shock she was so charming and articulate in English. I have so much sympathy for the parents and families of those futures lost. How scary for those young people to face a gunman at camp and what a tragic waste. Wish I could have been there today to hold a rose in the crowd. We know Norway is strong and will recover even stronger than before. Our hearts and prayers still with you AM and the rest Norway. Wish I had a Norwegian flag to fly!

Same dimples in their smiles same nose, eyes...I'll try to think of something fun to post for tomorrow. In the meantime, love all around.
I took a minute to read the previous posts. Love the motorcycle, plane,and the boat idea. Will have to go back and rewrite Chapter 8, no clothes or shoes for riding a motorcycle. Could be interesting riding a motorcycle in a dress, what? Need to think about Audi, and boat trip...check. Making notes and taking names...haha!

My dear husband can swim but he can't float. I always try to "help" him float but it usually turns into something else besides swimming.

ReplyDeleteAs for the foreign products sold in Japan, the name of the country is only printed, but I often think about which location do these cherries come from.
American cherries become popular in Japan year by year. I remember it was sold for only one month in Japan until some years ago. In June, possibly. But now they are sold from May, and bought it a few days ago ! It's just delight to me !!!
Then I have a good news this year, too, my dear Giffy. The American cherries I talk about is dark red ones. I don't know the kind, bc it's not printed. But this year the new kind was also sold, however only for a month. I don't remember the kind, but it started from R or L. Its color is not dark. I guess it is the trial in Japanese market.
Meanwhile, we have our own kind of cherry. Before the import of American cherry started, our cherry is only this one. it's nice cherry, but sometimes it doesn't taste good, and very expensive. So we now prefer to American cherries.

ReplyDelete@Dear Dana Haha! I could make you a fur coat like that! We noticed something moving dirt around our deck in the back of the house. My dear husband put a live trap out there with apples and broccoli for bait and trapped a groundhog/hedgehog. My brother in law called it a whistle pig? I've never heard of that. I thought I could make a clever hat and some succulent stew with it. LOL! Just kidding. I would not be a good farm wife. Yuck! Then he put the trap out again and we caught another one. I'm wondering how many are living below my house. A whole colony or enough to make a coat. Do you really need shoes to ride a motorcycle? LOL
@Ekaterina The big red cherries we call Bing. The gold ones might be Rainier cherry or Montemercie? I'll have to look at the grocery the next time I go. I don't have any cherries but I do have watermelons in my fridge! We all have that in common. The climate is perfect for cherries in Michigan. I think they like the cold weather before they bloom. I'll think about the next chapter while I do my housework. I have to admit I lost my job. I was there only 3 months. When I asked for the time off to go the reunion, she laid me off. She actually Said, "Why should I pay you when I could get a college intern to work for free." The college students here want experience and a job to put on their resume so often work for 3 months free for a company. She had someone lined up I think and it was bad timing for me to ask for a day off. Don't you think that was harsh? Even though it's just as well, I learned a lot about Social Media marketing, it made me feel bad, unwanted. I'm most sad about the loss of income to buy shoes for Dana's motorcycle ride! LOL! I'll just have to look for something else, not worth worrying about. Be back soon.

I am reading at the moment a novel of Jane Feather. From time to time I buy books when it is kind of sale! I have always a little stock. LOL
It can happen that I don't read over several months, only newspapers, etc. and suddenly I need to read!
Normally I look out for novels which tell a lot about a foreign country or adventures.
But it is true, your writting style reminded me so much to a novel that I have read many years ago.
So I found another one of this kind at home. It is normally not what I prefer most, but I must agree, so much FUN!
This time I am also looking at the structure of the book. Not bad either! It is about a love affair on a big sailing ship in the time of Napoleon I.
