I'll Wrestle You For It...
I think Aksel would win. He's got better leverage. Plus I think he would look so cool behind the wheel.
And of course, to all the other crazy & wild girls who are also celebrating the start of Spring with Dana.
Some people on the other side forget that if you havn't got to tell something constructive and positive you should keep the mouth. Ok, this kind of silly comments are eventually forced, because Aksel makes big gaps between the entries, so some people get bored and are making troubles!
@Mel What's that, so many bomb threats!! That is absolutely no fun. Hopefully you have got good nerfs, Mel!
That kind of things will be difficult to combine with an essay about humour. LOL!
Carlo had for several months problems with his heart, I read it is probably caused by a virus infection. Carlo had already on 23.02. a heart operation and feels well. I hope sincerely Carlo is fine and can soon race like before!
Sorry, in the morning I didn't notice this new post! LOL So let me wish you again
HAPPY FIRST OF MARCH!
HAPPY 11 ANNIVERSARY !!!!
Thank you all and wish you a beautiful Spring!!!!
@Nicoletta Thanks for the information about Carlo's heart surgery! I knew he had heart problems, they said something about an arrhythmia not about so serious problems! I'm happy he's fine! He's young and he will recover fast, I'm sure! What do you know about Didier Cuche and Didier Defago?
Thanks for "blog" definition! Does this means that we may write our opinions even if sometimes we're off topic? Haha!
Happy the 11th month Anniversary ! @Mel. You are the really beautiful host, our dear Mel !
btw, yes, Aksel wins. His heels can kick the course !
sorry for the 4 times bomb threat in one month. Some people seem to play the ill-disposed game. I hope the city police never let them enjoy the game any more.
I checked ALS this morning and found an unpleasant comment. It's not the first time to read this kind of it. That's a life. There is always some % of the twisted minded people. But it's also true that there is always more than some % of the twisted minded people. So, ladies, let's never mind !
@dana. Very Happy Martisor, my dear dana ! I'm proud of celebrating this day with you !
Generally speaking, we Japanese start the new term of school, office, and nation's budget in April. So, in March, we're busy preparing for this. Although we're busy, we find it fun, too. Because everybody expect something nice is coming in spring. Then, I'm happy to start March thinking about Martisor. This is my personal new custom from this year of 2011 !
Hope you enjoy today, my dear dana. and Happy Birthday to your mom. My mom and Nicoletta's mom surely visit her today to celebrate her birthday !
@Ekaterina Thank you so much! I'm happy and proud I can celebrate this special day with you all, here! You're right, everybody expects something nice is coming in spring! Maybe the good weather, the sun, bring us the hope for a new beginning, for a better year!
I'm sorry I can't send for each of you a real Martisor! But you can check on the internet at Martisor images and you'll find all kind of March cards and Martisoare (the plural for Martisor!) I usually like the classical ones: silver coins, horseshoes, four-leaves clovers, a little chimney sweeper, ladybird or little flowers...
Tudor went to the cemetery with flowers and a Martisor for my mom! If your mom and Nicoletta's visit my mom, I'm sure she shares a cup of hot coffee with them!LOL My mom loved coffee and she always liked to share it with someone else, not to drink it by herself! She liked to talk and a coffee was a perfect occasion to spend some nice time with her friends!
Wish you a wonderful first evening of spring with your little sister and the "happy couple" from the white container!;-))
You are so right, Ekaterina, my mother would love to meet your and Dana's mother, as we have spoken before, these three ladies would make a beautiful trio!!
@Dana @All
The definition of Mel's blog is clearly written in the head line. As I know, everything and every topic is allowed, as long as there is fun and a positive ambience!
I dare to say, we all here like the broad horizon, and we like to be nice to each other, and when we chat we chat. LOL!
This disturbing comments of some blogger on Aksel's blog are absolutely negative, and follow always the same target. This person wants to provoke a bad climate, as long as there is a chance to do so.
I think Aksel deserves good vibes on his blog. Maybe the day comes that this kind of people will leave, because they have got already enough hints to do so.
Aksel barely has to reach across the car! He's lounging on it. Who is the other guy?
@Dana Happy Martisor! Enjoy! Do you give each person a little Martisor gift, if so I want the lady bird. You write the sweetest things about your Mother. I thought maybe your Mom was an English teacher because you write so well. Are there any traditional dishes you cook for Martisor?
Ladies, I'll be brief because I'm afraid anything I write will be construed as Puffery! I didn't even know I spoke Puffery... Happy Spring! Happy Anniversary Mel!
BTW Has anyone seen the Jon Olsson cooking show on his website. I may make the Chevre Chaud Sandwich today. Although I don't have the right bread either...LOL!
@Nicoletta Lets hope the spring will warm up the hearts of all those that write mean things on ALS and it will turn them in nice and happy ppl!
@Giffy Happy Martisor to you too! OK, you'll get a red ladybird! Haha! No, we don't have a traditional dish for this special day, just candies and sweets! Is also a celebration of love, so if you want to impress the person you love, you may invite him/her to a dinner cooked by yourself! LOL
LOL Thanks, Sis! I know my English is not as good as I'd like (for example I had to check what "puffery" means! Haha!)but I try to learn from you all! My mom spoke Russian!! LOL It would been great for me if she would spoken English!!
Wish you and your 3 handsome boys a wonderful spring! Hehe! Love you!
@Mel You can choose any Martisor you like, baby! It's yours! LOL How do you feel today? Hope the headache left you alone! But how's your shoulder, do you still have little problems when you move your arm or everything is just perfect?
It's been almost a year since you started to do this great job for us! And I thank you so much for this, my dear Mel! I feel so good with all of you, I'm proud to have such wonderful friends!
@Dana I'm good today. Just doing homework. How are you today? Enjoying some sweets & celebrating spring? Yes my headache went away. My shouldar is doing good. Still a little pain when I lean on it or crochet, but that should go away soon. I think once I see the doctor on Friday I will be back to being on register. LOL no bomb threats today. Hopefully they catch the person or people soon. I'm glad that I made this blog too. It's been great getting to know everybody.
@Mel What a good girl, making her homework!!! LOL You deserve a prize so I'll send you a beautiful pic!!! Again! You know I like to look for pics of Aksel!:)))
I'm so happy you are fine! And that your shoulder goes so well! Anyway, take care of you and keep you warm!
I'm fine, thanks, but ready to go to bed, here is 22:39! Kisses and hugs!
Thanks & Congrats for keeping us together. I love to change topics from time to time. And yes, I love all the members, because it is very nice to learn more about everyone's personality! Sure, we are different, but not so different that we can't speak about almost every theme together!
Have a beautiful afternoon, Mel, and enjoy your class!
@dana i think you are already in bed, i be sorry i couldn´t answer you ealier, bc i couldn´t go online! i be fine too, work was ok! and the children gymnastik with little miss sbindal is on thursday afternoon! but i go to tell you about it!
@Dana I think I'm gonna have to be a good girl more often.
@Nicoletta Thank you! If it wasn't for you girls my blog would never would have made it this long. I love that we are always changing topics & learning about a lot of different things. It's great when people who have things in common have a place where they can get together.
@all ladies here ! March 03 is OUR day in Japan. Girl's Day ! It is called " Hinamatsuri " We display the Hina dolls.
I've been trying to find the nice link to show you the beautiful Hina dolls set, but it is difficult to choose. ..... If anyone are interested in it, you can watch the video searched by a word " Hinamatsuri " or " Hina Dolls ".
@Ekaterina Thank you so much! I didn't know about this beautiful custom! I'm glad you share it with us! I found a few links about Hina Dolls and I understood what is about! Two of them are these:
*bangs head on keyboard* I so do not understand this class! I wish he would just give us a specfic topic to write on & not let us pick from hundreds. I think that would make it easier on us & him. I hope I don't offend anyone with my quotes from Kathy Griffin.
I really wish people would stop calling in bomb threats. I just heard a teacher talking on his phone saying that he was looking for a bomb & that they aren't telling anyone anything anymore. WTF!?!?!? Get off the phone don't you know that they can set bombs off! Also I had this random guy tell me to add him on facebook. LOL
@Corinna Yeah it's crazy. I still think they should have evacuated us. Or at least told us & gave us the option to leave. I hate it when people withold infromation.
@Corinna Congrats today! You were number one! First one to post. Great Simpson video. Love it!
@Dana Thanks for my ladybug the other day Sis! I hope you had a happy first day of spring. Tudor is such a good son to take flowers! :)
@Mel Do you think it's some immature person calling in these bomb threats because they don't want to go to class? or do you think it's a real threat. Too bad they can't trace the bomb threat calls.
I bought some daffodils at the store today, so pretty, they always remind me spring is on it's way!
@Corinna LOL I like the vid! Though I don't like Kesha! She sings and talks like she's drugged! LOL Or drunk!
@Giffy I'm glad you like the ladybird! lol I love daffodils, I have some in my garden, I like their smell! I found a song that I know from a mobile phone commercial and I love it!!! Hope you like it too! Hahaha!
@dana. You're amazing, my dear dana !!! I thank you very much for the links !!!
Let me tell you about the background story about my work with pc yesterday. I've tried to find the nice video, but I became confused and could not decide which one I posted here for all of you. So I'm so happy you find some for us !!! and dana, here is the another background. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6vjUvvUvVk
Hope you enjoy early spring days of March, my dear dana ! Hugs !
@Giffy. I have Daffodils in our garden, too ! Mines are not yet in bloom, but the buds are growing day by day. I bought some Nemophila(baby blue eyes) and some Helichrysum(cassinianum)for our garden today. Mini-Cyclamen, Viola, Primula(Juliana), Rananculus, Anemone are already there. In Japan, spring means Cherry blossom. About when Cherry Blossom are in bloom, we sometimes have the low temperature and we call it " flower cold ". In case, flower means only cherry blossom. It seems Cherry Blossom is special for Japanese.
Hope you enjoy nice fragrance of Daffodils, my dear Giffy ! ( I also like Freesia ) Hugs !
@Nicoletta. It's from +1C to +8C in Tokyo these days. We sometimes have snow in March or even April. The weather here is very unstable in spring. So we are so sleepy in spring.
I'm going to the concert tomorrow evening. Bruckner No.8 !
Hope you have a lovely spring day, Nicolettchen ! Hugs !
@Ekaterina The dolls are very beautiful and delicate! I love them! Usually the Japanese girls do something special today?
I know what you mean, it was the same for me when I tried to find some nice videos about Martisor and I was disappointed bc I didn't find what I was looking for!:)) And I watched so many videos about First of March...
Thanks my dear Ekaterina, I really enjoy this day watching all these amazing Norwegian athletes! They won two golden medals today, in Russia at biathlon mixed relay and in Norway at cross country 4x5km women relay!!
Here is not quite spring, we have "sun with teeth"! ;-))) That means is sunny but it's also very very cold!!! And we still have snow!
I remembered to tell you something about the sour cabbages: I suppose you'll not make many sarmale, but you can save the other sheets and some chopped cabbage in little plastic bags in the freezer and use them some other time! I don't want to nag you, but I have to remind you that from a large leaf you can do 2 or 3 sheets. You chop the middle of the cabbages and the small leaves and put some on the bottom of the pot and some put over the sarmale to cover them.
Wish you to have a beautiful Hina Dolls evening! Kisses and hugs!
@Ekaterina What a great video and beautiful display of the dolls, and the stairway, etc. The background music was even good! Cherry Blossoms are a very big deal in Washington, DC in the spring and if I'm not mistaken a gift from Japan. My daffoldils aren't actually in bloom outside, we still have snow on the ground. But I bought them as cut flowers, for my kitchen table. I like also, Rananculus, I just discovered it recently and it loves the cold weather.
@Dana Here's a song I like that's on an Advil (pain relief) commercial.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxxtvCPyUew or The song is Chugjug by Family of the Year.
I like the beginning and the part at 3:30, very catchy. I walk around the house singing "Lalala where'd you get that thing." What they really sing is: na na na na na where'd you get that face na na na na na your dank face
@Dana An American Idol sang a Judas Priest song. That was a first. We didn't have any opera. Look up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R8NCV_OM6s James Durbin : " You've Got Another Thing Comin"
I don't know what's going on with the scarf tail...he didn't explain it? LOL! :) Keep dancing!
@Giffy We have the same Advil commercial here, but I didn't notice the song before! LOL Thanks!
But James Durbin...great voice!!! I love it!!! I think bc of his scarf tail!!! Haha! Maybe he wanted to hang that scarf somewhere else on his belt but he already had a chain on his right hip and decided to hang it on the back! LMAO I'm still dancing!:))
This is the commercial I told you about and some nice commercials we have here:
Love all the spring flowers, they are so beautiful, and they smell so nice & fresh!
@Ekaterina
Regarding weather, in Zurich you never know. Especially at the beginn of March, we have sometimes a lot of snow. So people were able to do cross-country ski in the middle of the city!
At the moment, I have troubles with the youtube videos. I cannot see anymore the videos, only hear the music!!
The situation is terrible! LOL! Hope help arrives soon! Had already a long phone call with the computer help.
@Nicoletta You're right, all the spring flowers are so beautiful and they smell so nice! I also have in my garden lily of the valley (we call them "little teardrops") I can't way the snow to melt and all the flowers I have in the garden to come up! I have snowdrops, daffodils, tulips and many others.
Sorry you have troubles with Youtube, hope you'll fix the things soon!
@Dana Is it a cell phone commerical? Very funny commercials. I like the one where everyone moves so he can sit by her, and the one where she mimics his moves! So sweet...ah, spring!
@dana. I think we only display Hina Dolls on Girls Day. bc it takes hours to display. ... maybe ...
Ny dear dana, I never think you nag me. and really thank you for the very kind advices ! I'll buy meat tomorrow and start " it " on Sunday. The homeymoon couple looks very fine !
Have a great weekend, my dear dana. In Tokyo, the sun is with teeth ! Hugs !
@Nicoletta. Thanks, Nicolettchen ! I enjoyed the marvelous No.8 of Bruckner. It was by Gewandhaus Orchester Leipzig conducted by Riccardo Chailly.
Have a pleasant weekend, my dear Nicoletta ! Hugs !
@Giffy Yes, my dear Sis, they are cell phone commercials! LOL I think they are funny and cute! This evening we'll have another edition of Romania's got talent!! I can't wait, some of the ppl that try to impress the jury are so funny!!! I saw some of your "anti-talent" competitors and it was LMFAO!!! Just like some of ours! Haha!
Wish you to have a beautiful weekend! Love you, Sis!
@Ekaterina I'm sure your second try will be a success! I wish you good luck! I can't wait to tell me that your sarmale are delicious and which do you think it was the most difficult part. Hope your little Ekaterina will help you, or at least she will sit on a chair in the kitchen, cheering for you!:))
Have a pleasant spring weekend, my dear Ekaterina! Kisses and hugs!
@Corinna There are lots of different classes. They offer a lot of degrees. http://www.starkstate.edu/?q=academics
@Nicoletta Thank you for your help.
There have been 3 bomb threat so far this week. It's getting very annoying. Here's a link to one of our papers that reported on the bomb threats. http://www.cantonrep.com/carousel/x1174966787/Stark-State-changes-how-it-deals-with-bomb-threats
Happy Martisor Day, especially to Dana!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, to all the other crazy & wild girls who are also celebrating the start of Spring with Dana.
Some people on the other side forget that if you havn't got to tell something constructive and positive you should keep the mouth. Ok, this kind of silly comments are eventually forced, because Aksel makes big gaps between the entries, so some people get bored and are making troubles!
@Mel
What's that, so many bomb threats!!
That is absolutely no fun. Hopefully you have got good nerfs, Mel!
That kind of things will be difficult to combine with an essay about humour. LOL!
Here I found something serious about Carlo Janka.
ReplyDeleteCarlo had for several months problems with his heart, I read it is probably caused by a virus infection.
Carlo had already on 23.02. a heart operation and feels well. I hope sincerely Carlo is fine and can soon race like before!
Here the article:

ReplyDeletehttp://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/blog_1

I think that is pretty interesting.
Happy blogging, Ladies!

ReplyDeleteThat is a very ennoying situation with this bomb threats all the time!
I really feel with you, Mel, that is aweful.
Obviously some teachers have difficulties to handle this, because it is very disturbing and ennoying for them too.
I wonder, what the "fun" teacher - which was telling you about the Ohio Mafia - says to that situation??
Hope sincerely you do not loose the interest of going to class.
Please keep up the good mood and try to make the best of it, Mel.
Hopefully nice students and teachers will help you with that!
By the way, which topic did you choose for your essay?
Cheers, Mel!
@All
ReplyDeleteSpring has arrived here in Zurich!
It is mild and sunny, not yet so warm, but agreeable 8-9 degrees! And you can already "smell" Spring is coming.
It is a pitty, it will be a bit colder for the weekend again, hope sun comes still out.
Hope everybody feels fine! Wish you a happy day!
See you!
@dana.
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing, my dear dana !!!
Hugs !
@Giffy.
ReplyDeleteI have Daffodils in our garden, too !
@dana.
ReplyDeleteP.S.
My strawberries didn't take holidays during this winter. and now it is spring. I hope they don't organize the labor union. ...
btw, I start the second stage on Sunday !
@Nicoletta.
ReplyDeleteIt's from +1C to +8C in Tokyo these days. We sometimes have snow in March or even April. The weather here is very unstable in spring. So we are so sleepy in spring.
I'm going to the concert tomorrow evening. Bruckner No.8 !
Hope you have a lovely spring day, Nicolettchen ! Hugs !
@Ekaterina
ReplyDeleteThe dolls are very beautiful and delicate!
ReplyDelete@Dana Here's a song I like that's on an Advil (pain relief) commercial.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxxtvCPyUew
or The song is Chugjug by Family of the Year.
I like the beginning and the part at 3:30, very catchy. I walk around the house singing "Lalala where'd you get that thing." What they really sing is:
na na na na na
where'd you get that face
na na na na na
your dank face
HAHA!
@Dana An American Idol sang a Judas Priest song. That was a first. We didn't have any opera. Look up:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R8NCV_OM6s
James Durbin : " You've Got Another Thing Comin"
I don't know what's going on with the scarf tail...he didn't explain it? LOL! :) Keep dancing!
P.S. I'll wrestle you
@Giffy
ReplyDeleteWe have the same Advil commercial here, but I didn't notice the song before! LOL Thanks!
But James Durbin...great voice!!! I love it!!!
I think bc of his scarf tail!!! Haha! Maybe he wanted to hang that scarf somewhere else on his belt but he already had a chain on his right hip and decided to hang it on the back! LMAO
I'm still dancing!:))
This is the commercial I told you about and some nice commercials we have here:

ReplyDeleteLove all the spring flowers, they are so beautiful, and they smell so nice & fresh!
@Ekaterina
Wish you a good night/day!
Hugs & Kisses!
@Nicoletta
ReplyDeleteYou're right, all the spring flowers are so beautiful and they smell so nice!
I also have in my garden lily of the valley (we call them "little teardrops")
I can't way the snow to melt and all the flowers I have in the garden to come up! I have snowdrops, daffodils, tulips and many others.
Sorry you have troubles with Youtube, hope you'll fix the things soon!

I am glad that at my place it is very green too, it will not take a long time until flowers will start blooming. But I do not have my own garden.

ReplyDelete@dana.
ReplyDeleteI think we only display Hina Dolls on Girls Day. bc it takes hours to display. ... maybe ...

@Giffy
ReplyDeleteYes, my dear Sis, they are cell phone commercials! LOL I think they are funny and cute!
This evening we'll have another edition of Romania's got talent!! I can't wait, some of the ppl that try to impress the jury are so funny!!! I saw some of your "anti-talent" competitors and it was LMFAO!!! Just like some of ours! Haha!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmWL73k11NA&feature=related
Wish you to have a beautiful weekend! Love you, Sis!
@Ekaterina
I'm sure your second try will be a success!
