We Got New Carts!!!
Finally we got new carts!!! It was so cool to watch them bring them up from the back of the store. No more people saying that the carts are broke or wobbily or the wheels are bad. They are really nice. I'm so weird. Getting new carts make me happy.
@Mel LOL True! ;D Now, something I do hate is when you're trying to steer the cart but it's going a different direction!!! My arms burn by the end of the shopping trip! LOL
@Mel You are too funny! Getting excited over new carts! Although they are pretty! I'm kind partial to the racecar carts ... although sometimes my ass gets stuck in the seat & I wish they had a horn to honk at other shoppers! :D
@Nicole that whole lack of cart steering ability comes in handy when you need to run into a cute guy shopping in the same aisle ..."Oh excuse me, sorry, this cart is crazy" ... even if the cart isn't broken!
Hope everyone is having an awesome day. Our company should be here in a few minutes ... kidos are having a swimming pool party playdate ... and life is just about to get wild & crazy with a house full of kidos!
What a HOT weekend! Damn! We've has excessive heat warnings here all weekend, yesterday with the humidity the heat index was 110/F, that's just ridiculous! :/ Hope everyone is surviving this crazy weather wherever you are, it seems to be crazy everywhere these days!
Soooo...on Friday night I go to happy hour at my neighbor/bff's house and SURPRISE, my awesome girlfriends had a surprise 40th birthday party for me!!!! It was sooooo much fun, I had a great time and kicked up my heels on the dance floor to end the night! I love to dance!!!
Here it is Sunday and back to work tomorrow :( Why can't we have 3 day weekends and 4 day work weeks? It would be a little more even that way...who thought that working 5 days and having 2 off was fair? Just sayin'
@nicole i think there where more than one entrance but just at that entrance it was real small to go in and to go out. and when some ppl want to go in and some other want to go out. that couldn´t be good.
Oh, today, I found out that my band will be performing 32nd out of 49 bands at competition! We have one good band play after us...all the other good ones play before us! :/
@corinna Despicable Me is a cartoon movie about a villain who wants to take over the moon but he has a problem...these three adorable little girls want him to adopt them!!! It's really funny and sad all at the same time! It was a great movie! And you don't have to be a kid to enjoy it!!! ;D
@corinna Well, in past years, we've played early in the morning, so I don't understand why we're playing so late! But on the other hand, bands that play later on tend to do better! :/ We'll have to see!

I reading this book called On A Higland Shore. In the book my Norwegian ancestors are accused of raiding the Irish & Scottish shores. I picked the book up because it spoke to me. How freaky is that?

@Mel I was in OH IO this weekend for a family reunion. I found out my G'pa was from Wilmersbach, Germany an hour from Munich. I'm going to Cedar Point next weekend. Want to meet? :)
i´m back from my trip but just stepped into a region which is in a big shock!
The trip was great. we had 3 days of sun and saw a lot (execpt the famous mermaid bc she wasn´t there!). we even had time to go via the famous Öresund bridge to Malmö. Until saturday evening we were in a pretty good mood... until we heard what was going on back home. You never know whether you know ppl who lost their lives there but thank god we don´t!
But i work for the city of Duisburg.. so the mayor is my highest boss! So it casts a poor light on all the employees and the whole city. even though a lot people had doubts about the location and this event. As i said 2 blogs before most ppl and the newspapers knew before that this might be pretty dangerous. But afterwards you always know better! But you cannot make publicity on the back of peoples live. I just wait for the mayor to resign. That would be the best he could do.
@nicole and giffy: i watched the movie last week in the internet... i´m looking forward to watch it in the movies. but i don´t know if i really wanna see that in german! :-/ it will start over here on september 30th
@giffy: there was this techno festival in germany where 19 people lost their lives bc of a panic. the location was allowed to take 250.000 ppl but there were about 1 mio (which they expected before) and there was a bad organisation.. so 19 ppl died and about 500 got injured.

ReplyDeletei´m back from my trip but just stepped into a region which is in a big shock!
The trip was great. we had 3 days of sun and saw a lot (execpt the famous mermaid bc she wasn´t there!). we even had time to go via the famous Öresund bridge to Malmö.
Until saturday evening we were in a pretty good mood... until we heard what was going on back home. You never know whether you know ppl who lost their lives there but thank god we don´t!
But i work for the city of Duisburg.. so the mayor is my highest boss! So it casts a poor light on all the employees and the whole city. even though a lot people had doubts about the location and this event. As i said 2 blogs before most ppl and the newspapers knew before that this might be pretty dangerous.
But afterwards you always know better! But you cannot make publicity on the back of peoples live.
I just wait for the mayor to resign. That would be the best he could do.
