Absolut La La Land- 1 1/2oz Absolut Los Angeles Vodka
- 1oz Cranberry Juice
- 1oz Lemon Lime soda
- 1oz Pomegranate Juice
Build ingredients over ice into a highball glass & garnish with a squeeze of lime.
I figured since Aksel is or was in LA we should have a LA drink on the blog. No I don't like vodka at all. Made dinner tonight & burnt my hand on the oven. Thank God we had some honey. I know 'Honey on a burn?' Yeah it takes the sting out of it & helps it heal. I used it on a really bad burn I had on my right hand from spilling gravy on it. It didn't even leave a scar. That's my helpful advice for the day.
@ Mel I prefer vodka when I have drink so this is perfect, girl!LOL I didn't know honey is helping when you get burned so thanks for the advice!!! Now it's 0400 in the morning here in the north so i'm heading to bed ;D

ReplyDeleteJust got home from walking at the Relay for Life event...it was a lot of fun, great music, good company and for a great cause. It was super hot and humid even at midnight, I always choose to walk at night so it's not as hot as when the sun is out. I will go back tomorrow evening for the closing ceremony then.
This pic of Aksel cracks me up, he looks like he has a gold grill!!! ;D As I said on his blog I was hoping that one of those rap stars in LA didn't rub off on him! I think it's about high time he heads back to Europe :D Im ready for the skiing to begin!!!

I got killed when we played the entire song though! The first time was okay, I made it around the field with not too many problems! The second time, I got stepped on and then I got smacked in the face by a flute!!! People don't think band is a dangerous thing....but it is!!! LOL ;P

ReplyDeleteI had a good day today at the Rodeo. My horse and I didn't run so well (I think we're in 25th place out of 130 riders). Probably not in the money unless we have an amazing run tomorrow, but we're having lots of fun! I'm blaming it on being distracted by Dingo. He came to watch and hang out! All of my GF's are falling all over him ... it's the Aussie accent ... oh & the fact that he's HOT & charming! He's even good with my kids. *Sigh*
We're hanging out around the campfire with friends, listening to rockin 80's music, bbq'n steaks, drinking Keystone beer & BS'n ... well, the kidos are drinking rootbeer and playing horseshoes! My 6 yr old daughter is dancing around & singing all the 80's songs! It's hilarious that she knows more of the words than I do!
I did notice the 'bad karma' over on ALS blog. WTH is up over there! It's turning into a no fun zone. I hope it gets back to party vibe pretty soon. But, I did have to lmao at Aksel's Golden Grill pic ... but, he just isn't going to pull off the Gangsta vibe very well! I don't think a golden grill will go very well with his Spandex race suit!
Since it's after 9pm I better go check on the status of dinner!

ReplyDeletei definitely have not enough time at the moment to step in. yesterday morning we went out for a brunch and after that we had a games afternoon with friends. in the night we went out spontaneously... so i had a few hours of sleep and am nearly again on my way. We have a event for of "culture" they close 60km of a highway and put tables on so you can sit there, walk over the autobahn and enjoy the day... will let ou know how it was! :-)

my weekend was definitely busy. i was only home for sleeping!! was on a brunch yesterday morning, on a games afternoon and in the evening out for dancing. this morning on this culture event we had today with the breakfast on the autobahn. i just heard there were about 3 million ppl. :-) it was great definitely fun. and with skates it was better to move forward. we stood on our both ways (there and back) about 20 minutes in a bike traffic jam! Haha

ReplyDeleteWhen I visit my family in Puerto Rico, everyone goes to my granparent's house! And my grandmother cooks (my sis and I help out), and then one of my uncles is a chef so he makes amazing Puerto Rican cuisine for us and then my grandfather takes the kids (me included ;P) to a cake shop!!! ;D It's a big party! ;D

ReplyDelete@dana my parents go down in two weeks, but with some friends of them, i can join them when i want, but i´m going to "energy in the park" it is a musicfestival in munich and then it is august and my work training ant the next time i can go down is on 13 of august. bc my parents only go down every two weeks

@nicole it was so hot and i had a 5,5 hour traintravel behind me and my thoughts were at the pool i recognize them first when i passed them and if i come back from the pool they were already gone home
