My friend Mary spent the night Tuesday & we went for a little drive in my car. We drove through the park & right by the park is West Lawn Cemetary where my Uncle, Grandpa & Great Grandparents, as well as Marys' Grandparents, are buried. So we decided to visit & we found White-Tailed Deer living there. They were up on the hill & I was looking at them & asked are they real or fake? Then they moved when we got closer. It was so awesome!!!
Happy to be back, my dear Ladies!
ReplyDeleteCute deers, Mel! Remind me strongly of Bambie! Cemetary are always special places, with a lot of strength and great silence!
Congrats to your Algebra test results!!
@Dana
Hope your tests are doing well and you have - despite of seeing the doctors at the hospital - a good time with your aunt, etc.
My trip to the South Tirol was great! We catched very good weather, Summertime, and the region is so beautiful!
First we learnt, don't never say to a South Tirolian he is an Italien!!
So I will respect that, and of course what we saw was far away from Italy!!
We left Switzerland and passed first Arlberg area, then the Tirol, passed Innsbruck!!, and the guide mentionned several places were the national ski racers have Summer ski trainings. For example Pitztal, Stubai! We passed through impressing landscapes with a lot of vineyards, agriculture, with plasant villages, and huge churches as well as many castles on the top of the hills, a lot of mountains, even with snow, river with this icy coloured water. Very beautiful!
The hotellerie and food is just excellent!! We had a very good hotel in Brixen and the meals/accomodation were incredible!
The first trip was to the lake of Guarda, and we had lunch at Malcesine. We passed Riva at the beginning and in the later afternoon we had stop in Guarda! Great places to be, a lot of cafés and restaurants, bars, and shopping possiblilites. Nice leather handbags!!!
The other day we went to the Sissi castle Trauttmansdorff with a huge garden with all kind of plants, you can walk many hours there. In the afternoon we visited beautiful Meran. Lovly place again with romantic places along the river, lots of old trees and flowers and again charming cafés and restaurant. We had lunch on a bench along the river, eating a sandwich. We were sitting there and had nice little talk with a guy from there. He had eyes like the icy coulered water and was very friendly. He had the similar way to speak like Christof Innerhofer! I asked him if he knows were from he is, but he knew just the region were Paris comes from.
ReplyDeleteLater on we passed the South Tirol "Weinstrasse" with the the nice lake of Kaltern and had another great meal at the hotel.
The 4th day we passed again through pritty villages, landscapes, and enjoyed beautiful South Tirol and Austria, passed the Vinschgau with immense areas with apple trees and again a lot of fields with nice little spring flowers, wild rivers and lovely mountains.
After 4 days of sunshine & "summerholidaymood" and a lot of great impressions, we reached Zurich.
Was definitely not the last time we went to the South Tirol!!
Happy weekend to all ladies!
Kisses & hugs!

ReplyDeleteNow it looks better.
ReplyDelete@Nicoletta sounds like you had a wonderful time.
@Dana I hope all goes well with you.
@Mel.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet and lovely they are !!!
You are very much talented photographer, my dear Mel !!!!!
@Nicoletta.
I enjoyed reading your report on the days in Italy. It's so interesting and fascinating, and it even makes me visit there actually !
Just thanks for your perfect report, Nicolettchen !!!!!
@corinna.
yes, Nordsee is one of our choice.
as for Bayreuth, I'm going to watch " Parsifal " and " Tristan und Isolde "
@all ladies.
ReplyDeleteI first saw the beautiful pics of deer yesterday morning, though I noticed @Mel posted the double pics, then. I really wanted to post my comment at once, but I was very busy yesterday. Some shopping, concert, and shopping. I was supposed to be back home around 19:00 yesterday and I was looking forward to saying something for these beautiful pics.
But, an unbelievable accident happened to me at around 18:00 yesterday.
After the concert, and shopping in the department store in Shibuya station, I came into the restaurant in that department store to have some meals. I was alone, and I often do like this when I was busy, and it went well always, no trouble.
But it happened.
When I tried to move the chair while sitting on it, suddenly the seat was open, and the tip of the 4th finger in my right hand was caught.
Later I knew that chair was also used for the box, an unique chair, I think, and anyhow the " box chair " had no lock, so it was easily open and my finger was caught.
I had an acute pain and blood was flowing. The people in that restaurant didn't notice me, but women sitting the next table knew it, and I washed my finger in the kitchen space and the person there seemed to have taken care of me. " seemed to have take care of me " means I lost consciousness for 10 minutes, so I didn't remember it.
When the consciousness was back, I founded my right 4th finger was applied the sticking plaster. The floor manager was there and accompanied me to the outside for the fresh air. I sat on the bench and the person in the restaurant brought me some ice to cover my hand. The ice helped me ease the pain and bleeding was stopped. I became feeling fine again. Then, the floor manager said " The color of your face was back. " I thought " what !? " According to him, the color of my face was just white with much sweat while I lost consciousness.
And I came home anyhow and put an antibiotic ointment on the bleeding spot.
@all ladies.
ReplyDeleteToday is Sunday and the hospital is normally off, but I visited the urgent section in the big hospital 15 minutes on foot this morning.
The doctor looked my finger and took the x-ray.
Then, he said he judged the bones were OK, but it was possibly pliable when my finger was caught, and he concluded it was a crush wound.
He also said the tip of the fingers were so delicate and my right 4th finger was hit strongly, so I lost consciousness for 10 minutes because of the shock.
He said it would be OK if I don't move the fingers so much, and day by day it would be OK. The ice and the antibiotic ointment and " rest " would help me more.
What is " the rest " of the fingers ? ... ;-)))
I don't think I need to cancel the lessons, but it's impossible to have a complete rest for fingers. ... :-)))
That's all for an accident.
But I'm very pleased to see another pretty deer pics, @Mel !
and I honestly enjoy the report on Italy from @Nicoletta.
Actually I'm not feeling well, but when I look the beautiful pics in this blog, and reading very nice report from Nicolettchen, those makes me feel better, like a magic !!!
Have a great Sunday, and in safe ! Kisses & Hugs !
@dana. I cross the 2nd and 3rd fingers, so don't worry, my dear dana. You're safe !
@Ekaterina
ReplyDeleteWhat a big shock to me to hear from your accident!! Poor Ekaterina, I feel so much with you!!!
You definitely need your fingers, all of them!
As it happend last year that my partner nearly cut off his index finger last year, I know what can happen.
Go to the best specialist that you can find, and let follow the best physio theraphie for hands/finger at your place!!!!
As a piano teacher, you should not loose precious time, like my partner did unfortunately.
Take it as serious as you can, my dear Ekaterina. Go immediately to the best specialist in Tokio, as a piano teacher you will find excellent help!!!
My parter had first very bad support and made everything wrong, unil I insisted very strongly that he should go to the best hand/finger specialist at the Unispital (biggest Hospital in town)on a Sunday morning, so the very worst could be avoided... .
Second I learnt, that there exist a special physio for fingers and there you should go, as soon as possible.
Ok my partner's finger is quite ok now, and he can use it, but it looks still different and is not so strong yet! Honestly, we are very glad that he has still his index finger of the left hand, that is the importanst thing that counts. And he is able to use all fingers to work at the office, and also in the daily life.
Hope so much that you understand, that I do not want to shock you once more my dear Ekaterina, but take it very serious and insist also for the best kind of support from the beginning.
Keep my fingers crossed for you, and I am so much awaiting your information about further stepps.
Wish you all the very best for a smooth recovery, Ekaterina.
So glad, that my summary of my little trip to the South Tirol was a little help to delight your bad situation.
Love you, Ekaterina!
@ekaterina wow that´s sounds real crazy! but i agree with @nicoletta go to a specialist!
ReplyDeletei think that physiotherpy specialist which ekaterina means is a ergotherapist! that´s are the hands specialist here for therapy!
but you need all of your fingers! so see that you get a appoinment of and handchirugist!
hope you are feel better! and that you don´t lost you consciousness anymore!
@Nicoletta.@corinna.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your helpful advices and warm words, my dear Nicoletta & corinna !!!
I think I was unlucky when an accident happened, but I was lucky at the hospital yesterday morning. Generally there are not so many doctors at the hospital on Sundays in Japan, and a few doctors work there in rotation, but the doctor I met yesterday happened to be a Chirugisch doctor who had a special knowledges of fingers. So, although he is not the Handchirugist himself, he can introduce me to the specialist when I'll have trouble with my finger which I don't want to be happened of course, though.
The part of my right 4th finger hurt is the tip of the upper half from the last connection. As you see, my finger nail is short to play the piano, and the wound which bled is in the 3mm x 8mm around the end of the nail. But I had an impact the whole from the last connection around 2,5cm to 3,0cm. So I cool the part with the ice. The doctor said it is the only and the best for me to do for a while, and " rest " as possible as I can. So I'll visit the hair-dresser to have my hair washed this week, bc my dad & baby sis cannot do it. My dad is busy, and I wouldn't think my baby sis is reliable to do so, bc she's still a little. ..... ;-)))
I don't have any pain unless something touches the wound now.
I plan to continue to give the lessons with only my left hand. It's possible. And I wait for the perfect time for my right hand to be back in the office. I check my right 4th finger from time to time a day, and it seems it better than yesterday.
In spite of the fact I lost consciousness a few minutes after an accident on Saturday evening, the actual hurt was not so serious, I feel. But of course I think I have to be serious about the hurt and look after it now.
I really thank you very much for the good advices again, my dear Nicoletta & corinna.
btw, I'm so surprised to know that the partner of Nicolettchen hurt the index finger last year ! I understand how much you both were upset then, but I'm glad to see he's OK now, and I suppose his index finger will be much better. Please take good care of him !
Kisses & Hugs !!!
@Ekaterina
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear that you are already in best hands at the hospital. That is so important!
As you say, this doctor has obviously enough knowledge and connection to ergotherapie, etc. if you really need it!
My partner had - because of very bad support of his doctor - a big infection, and he did not give him a instrument that he could absolutely not move his finger.
So after 2 weeks, it was the total mess! In the hospital they gave him immedeatly antibotica and much better advices, and very big first-aid bandage.
He had to go to the hospital every day to clean the wound and to make new bandage. Afterwards he had to go for several weeks to the ergotheraphist.
You remind me so much of that time, Ekaterina! Yes, I had to give help to him the whole day long. Hair wash, shower, help to put on clothes, cut the meat, etc.
So, you make it right, keep the hand quiet, resp. your finger and let it heel.
It is easy said, and it must be like that, it hurts not so much. But it is very important to stay quiet! And most important, the wound should not get wet!!!
Stay cool, my dear Ekaterina, let you help, if possible and concentrate of your hand, so it will heel much quicker!!
Do you have a further appointment with the doctor, to be sure of good process??
All the best Ekaterina!
Take care!
Hugs & kisses!

@Mel Wow! I opened the page and I thought, "Wow! It's so pretty in Ohio. I should move back." Then I realized you took the picture earlier in the week. We had a rotten rainy weekend.
ReplyDelete@Ekaterina Sorry for your accident, and your "black out." Good that you were in a good doctors care, and they will watch your pinky closely. I'm bet your Dad and baby sister are worried about you too! I think you deserve the treat of a salon hair wash! Get a pedicure for the summer while you're there. Hope you recover soon.
@Nicoletta Glad you had a great trip. You write very well, we can feel like we were there too. Sounds like it was romantic location for you! I am looking forward to listening to your music selections.
@Corrina Sorry you couldn't watch my video. It was probably just as well. It was sort of gutter language but I thought funny. My new favorite song is Cake - Been a Long Time. It gets stuck in my head, love the guitar part.

Yes, the places in South Tirol are certainly romantic, the villages are pitoresque, a bit old fashionned sometimes, but extraordinairy butiful!
The lake of Garda is unique, the water is so clear, and there is so much nature, everything green, lots of flowers.
You would love it, I am sure!
Enjoy your birthday, dear Giffy!
