I have been trying to post a new blog for the past few days, but it would let me. So I'm hoping that this one will post.

It's very nice that Memorial day is the first family celebration for Ella May !!!
It's actually true that puppies and kittens can read the atmospher of her or his family as well as grown-up dogs and cats can do.
At least I believe so from my little experience. ... ;-)))

Happy Memorial Day, my dear Mel !!!

Did thunder hit the power station !? ...
but I'm happy to know it's back to normal now, corinna.

btw, 30℃ !? ..... it's pretty warmer than Tokyo. It was raining here all day long yesterday and we have the wind storm right now. I think it comes from the influence of the Typhoon. and we still have the power at least now. ... ;-))) I hope we can keep it until the storm leaves.

I think it's OK and safe in Tokyo even if we have the typhoon, but we worry so much about the vast disastrous areas of 3.11, and " the open-roof AKW ". We usually like the open-roof cafe and we didn't and don't ask our government to supply us the open-roof AKW.
    Angie is right.

Have a beautiful Monday, my dear corinna !

  6. @ekaterina a lightning hit the power station!

    http://www.wetter-gardasee.com/index_gewitter_gardasee_video.htm

the thunderstorm was like that ones on the vids of the link! but the vids are two years old! but it was as heavy as in this vids!

even at home we have around 30°C! i hope for you that you will get some sunny days this week!
i know you worry about the AKW´s everytime when a storm is coming!

    how is it today?

  7. @corinna.
Thanks for the vid of the thunderstorm !
We cannot win against the nature !

It's not lovely weather in Tokyo right now. We have had bigger typhoons for the past years. This storm we have now is not the typhoon, but the heavy storm.

It's not at all fun that it rains a lot in the Fukushima 1, bc the high level contaminated water there will increase. But it's the rainy season in Japan and also the typhoon season. I'm not sure if our government understands it or not. ... ;-(

An open-roof AKW, no thank you, dear Ekaterina!

By the way, Switzerland thinks also strongly to stop with the AKW!

Yesterday, I started with the peppermint tea, hope it helps!

Wish you a pleasant evening, dear Ekaterina!

    Love you!

  12. Summer has finally hit Ohio!!! For now the rain has stopped!!! The temp right now is 85F/30C!!! It's time to get in the pool & relax!!! Well after I plant the blueberry bushes that I bought for my Mom. I wanted to buy raspberry & blackberry bushes too, but alas we had no more at my Wal-Mart. :-(

I hope everybody had a great weekend. Stay cool in the hot summer sun, girls.

BTW The blog won't let me sign on & comment. Blogger must be trying to work out bugs again.

@nicoletta i love italy especially the lago di garda. it is my little paradise, even when i only go down for the weekend to relax! but that is enough for me, i don´t need two weeks of holiday, one weekend lago di garda is enought for me to relax! that is my second home!

@mel how was the pool? here it was also warm today!

  14. @Nicoletta.
yes, I know that Switzerland was the first country to take the quickest action about AKW just after 3.11, then, Germany.

I think it's the matter of geological history.
The land of Europe is stable, bc it has finished forming the land itself after thousands of years activities including the birth of the Alps. But the land (island) of Japan is still on the way to be formed nearly completely like Europe. Of course there are sometimes some earthquakes in Romania and Italy, but not so often as it happens in Japan. So we can say it's safe to build AKW in Europe practically. But I think Fukushima tells something else and the both governments of Switzerland and Germany had the ears to listen to it, and I feel they're right.

Living in Tokyo, having " radiation bathing " every day, I doubt the ability of our government. Before 3.11, we all believed that our AKWs were the safest, bc they were constructed and built perfectly against the earthquakes and tsunamis, and Tepco and our government had the countless measures to take when something happens there. ... But we finally knew the countless unbelievable facts and have lost words.

The radiation level in Tokyo is low enough to have bathing, so no worry about it, but the actual spot of the Fukushima 1 is still the hell, and only the time is running.

btw, how do you find the peppermint tea ? My dear Nicoletta ? I wish it goes well !

    ReplyDelete
  15. @dana.
Some weeks ago the radiation was detected from in tea leaves in the location which produces cabbages. In this season, we buy the cabbages from there. The government say nothing about the cabbages, but we all doubt it. I looked some stores, but all cabbages are from there.
The government gives up checking all the groceries in the " grey zone " and they are sold in the store, however not so many people buys them.
So I wait for some time until the cabbages from the safe area are placed in the store.

We used to say the joke, " Our politicians are not employed by any companies or organizations and so on, bc they lack of ability. So they chose the politicians to live. "
    dana, it's no more joke. ... ;-)))

  16. @Ekaterina

You know, after the case Fukushima Switzerland recognized that there is quite a risk with the AKW! Before we just enjoyed the cheap power!

Honestly, we cannot compare the situation in Switzerland with an earthquake region like Japan! Sorry, that is a bit hysterical! But I must agree, some of the AKW are simply very old, and nobody knows exactly what could happen in a serious case ... .

On the other hand, it is quite ok that people look for saver energy, like wind parks, solar pannels, etc.
But there is the point, where Switzerland will put them!
Hope sincerely not in Wengen, and not in Lenzerheide! LOL

By the way, I saw a picture, that Japan has the genious idea to make solar pannels on every roof (even worldwide), so the world would look like a big, big Disco ball!

In my opinion the best places for wind energy is the sea and perhaps the deserts,as well as wide districts with nearly nothing, if I am not wrong there are quite a few projetcts in the world.

Will be interesting to follow what kind of better methods to gain power are invented in the future!
People here are very much on fire to stop with the AKW, it is "the hit" for politicians to get nominated for the next year!
But, I do not think that we did realize how expensive or complicated life will be without AKW!

Let's hope for the very best!

Most important is that everything with Fukushima goes allright, no other grave problems! Hope the sciencists are aware of the problems, as long the government is a bit dreaming - don't get my wrong, dear Ekaterina! But you know it, since a very long time!

My coughing last night was terrible, because of crazy pollen flights before the thonderstorm! Finally I ended with taking a Cognac!! HaHa

I am drinking peppermint tea since the weekend, and I think it is so good for me! I should buy the fresh dried one, not the sachets, I know!

I had a look in the internet, and to my surprise peppermint tea cures all my troubles, even some more than I expected!! LOL

Thanks for the genious tipp, my dear Ekaterina!

By the way, drinking tea is always great, it comforts, warms the wound throat, calms the stomac, and gives more enenergy. All that we need.

We always can learn from the asiatic culture, they are much more aware of helpful teas! Maybe in Europe, the older people knew it also, but everything has disappeared!

Have a pleasant afternoon, and a relaxing evening, dear Ekaterina!

    Love you!

  19. Hello, girls!

Just a short note-I'll meet the shrink this afternoon! LOL Keep your fingers crossed for me, @Ekaterina-just with your healthy hand, please! Haha!
Hope she will let me walk free on the street after the visit!:)))
Do you think she will be able to get mind out of the gutter? LMAO

Wish you all a nice evening/afternoon/day!

Presume the only thing that your psychiatrist risks is she get's the "mind-in-the-gutter"-virus from you!!! LOL

No, just kidding, dear Dana, that is a very serious matter. Perhaps she helps you to get more relaxed, or learns you to take everything a bit lighter. Like everybody should try to do!

Hope for you she is a nice person. Very curious to learn what you say, Dana!

Keep my fingers crossed for you, dear Dana!

In Campina ? or going to Bucharest again to see ALS, too ? ;-)))

Surely I believe you feel relieved after that, my dear dana. She may give you some medicine, and if you find it not good, please visit her again and tell her your condition. I suppose there are many ways to cope with the troubles, such as breathing and stretch. You can do it very slowly and quietly, bc the slower & quieter, the better.

Of course, dana, I cross the index & the middle fingers for you !

I'm going to bed now, so I look forward to read your report tomorrow morning.

Kisses & Hugs ! My dear dana !!!

  23. @Nicoletta.
yes, the old reactors ( AKW ) are not always safe, so I think all old ones in the world take the checks now, bc they need it !

and of course ! Wengen & Lenzerheide must be kept for us !!! @all Swiss politicians. Don't touch them !

But these disco balls have just weaker power. Our politicians are too naive.
I watch many wind power mills in Germany, especially in the north part.

The algae is the new possibility and can be replaced the petroleum. All depends on the scientists to invent and the politicians to put it in the reality.

I think the tea was once the medical use, and revives again. Nicolettchen, the dried leaves are better, but please be careful not make it too strong, bc the mild " medicine " is the best one.

Now I go to the bedroom.
Kisses & Hugs ! my dear Nicoletta ! Be OK with Cognac whenever you like it !

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Dana I'm thinking you are at your doctor's appt right now and I'm sending positive happy thoughts your way! Can't wait to hear your report. I think you need more gutter! :)

@Mel I think it should read: all you hott girls stay cool!

Thanks everyone for the Happy Memorial Day wishes. I had lots of company that just left this morning and we had a great time. Memorial Weekend is always a great kick off to the summer, and a wonderful way to remember those who served in the military to keep us all safe. One meal I cooked was beer can chicken and it turned out great. Have you ever heard of that? OMG It could not have been easier...Pour into a glass 1/2 the beer from an aluminum can. Drink it! Haha! Take a whole chicken, rub with spices, place the can with the remainder of the beer inside the cavity of the chicken keeping can & chicken upright. Set chicken/can on a grill outside at medium temp for an hour and a half. Voila! Delicious chicken...and a great conversation piece. I have a ton of laundry, but luckily don't have to go into work. I'm in a much better mood with all the sun shining. We had three weeks of rain in May and it was getting to me...much better now. Love all around.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @giffy i know beer can chicken, do you know that you can make it also with prosecco can and wishky can? and even with a turkey, for the turky you can use a tup!

  26. @Corinna That video is exactly how I cooked my chicken. It turned out great and was so easy. I did not have the stand, but used the can. Fun the way the chicken sits on the grill with its legs in front. Haha! Next time I think I'll cook two.

@Nicoletta Hope your cough has gone away and you feel better today.

    @Dana Good news?

Hope all is well in the whole wide world...

  27. Hi my ladies!

    Thanks everyone!
Yes, I have good news! My shrink is a very nice lady doctor, she's a PhD in psychiatric medicine, and she has given me hope! I have to take the treatment and I'm glad that she gave me not very strong medicine, to transform me in a zombie! LOL I'm very confident, I know it takes time but I can be patient. Do you want the proof? LOL
Here it is: I stayed there FOUR hours!!!! She was on duty on the whole hospital-adults and pediatric-and she had three emergencies! So I talked to her first for 15 minutes, but during our conversation the phone rang for three times, then she had the first emergency, she came back but she had to go to another emergency. We talked again for about 5 minutes and then she was called for the third emergency!!! LOL And for every emergency she stayed about an hour or more!!! I said to my dad that or I'll get well waiting her, or I'll go crazy for good!! Haha!
The funny thing is that I was the only person waiting there, I just had bad luck that she was not available!
But now I have another problem, she couldn't give me the recipe bc there are problems between the Health Insurance House and the doctors, so they can't prescribe medicine! It's a kind of strike and now I have to wait till the things go well between them! LOL
I live in a CRAZY world, so I have a BIG excuse for my insanity! LMAO

Wish you all a nice and calm day!:)))
Love, kisses and hugs to everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  28. LOL Recipe-I mean prescription, we use the same word in Romanian for both!!!:))))

    ReplyDelete
  29. @dana.
I've thought about you even during the concert.
I'm glad that you showed the proof, my dear dana ! I know it takes time, too, and I learned you are patient !

You're lucky, dana, bc she is the very good doctor, I feel. I hope you'll get " Recipe " soon. btw, every medicine has the side effect more or less. becomes sleepy or thirsty or anything. So I'd like to recommend you not to be too busy for a while. There is no " must " for the person who has the troubles you have.

Take it easy, my dear dana. I'm sure you become well after all !

Kisses & Hugs ! Good night.

  30. Hello my dear Ladies!

Yesterday, to my deepest regret, I was an emergency case too!

After a terrible night, I started again to feel terrible in the late afternoon, at ca. 17.00. My biggest coughing attack ever, I have never had before, and my breathing sounded like a little motor, and I was really worried that I cannot breath.

I came to the point, that I have urgently to see the doctor. He is just over the street, and constantly booked out. Very busy man!

I said to the assistant, please can I go to the docter, I feel so bad and need urgently help. She said, we are very busy, you have to wait for 45 minutes.

She brought me to a separate room, and there I was coughing, coughing, coughing.

Many patients looked extremely worried or curious to me through the open door! I felt incredible, I really thought, now I get a heart attack!

Finally I got the chance to see the doctor, perhaps my coughing was getting on his nerfs! LOL

Long story short, I have a pneumonia. The doctor said, I am severe ill. It is very good that you came. He meant it cannot be the hay fever, he thinks I have got it by bacteria.
The prove was, the last days it was rainy and much colder, and I was still ill.

At 19.00 I was takeing the bus to city to get the medicaments, again "entertaining" the bus with my noisy coughing. But I had to go to the pharmacy, because our pharmacy closes earlier.

In the night, I could not sleep because of the mentionned troubles, the antibiotics takes his time!

Today in the evening I feel a little better, and be positive that I will recover soon.

    The moral of my story.
I will go earlier to the doctor, because you never know what you risk!!

    Take care, all Ladies arround!

    Hugs & Kisses!

    ReplyDelete
  31. @nicoletta that sounds, horrible! i really hope that the medicine will help you and that you feel better soon! i hope you get some rest and that you can sleep better tonight!

and i have also a little emergeny today!
i was in the morning with my mom for some shopping and when i drove home suddenly a real bad and heavy pain him my scapula blade! i couldn´t breathe, had big problems with my cycle, got a headache and couldn´t move my left arm! i drove home and my dad drove me then to the doc! there i feel so bad that i nearly felt faint so the doc assistent take me to a seperate room and the doc was there after two minutes looked at me and my shoulder and give a injection against the pain! i felt so bad that i said my dad should go with me in this room bc i didn´t wanted to be alone! i had to wait then ten minutes and then the doc let me go! he give me a recipe for some pain killers and something that i can go to a orthopedic! sometimes the pain is away right now but then suddenly it came back! thanks god we have a national day tomorrow and so i have first to work on friday again, but so i can also go first on friday to the orthopedic!

girls it seems like it is a bad time for our health!

  32. @Ekaterina
Thanks for thinking of me even during the concert! Touchy! I hope you could clap your hands with no pain! LOL
I think I can say I'm half Japanese, considering my patience!:)))

I'm sure the medicines will make me sleepy, I wonder what I'll do at work, I think I'll sleep standing! I'll be like a living statue! Thanks God I don't snore, but who knows! LOL

I know you're sleeping right now and your little sister too, so I wish you both good night and sweet dreams!
    Love you!

    @Nicoletta
I'm very sorry that you're so ill! I thought you had a coughing attack bc of my post here:) ,but it seems you've had more serious problems!
I imagine how you felt staying in that room and the ppl looking at you through the open door!

At least you're a little better now and I'm glad for this! Take care of you, my dear, follow the doctor's order and take your medicine!

Wish you a quiet evening, without coughing and a restful night!
    Kisses & Hugs!!
