The song is actually F*** You, but this is the clean version. Either way you go it's a great song with an awesome beat. My computer is in Texas, but not where it needs to be. :-( Good luck to all the Vikings in the coming races. Maybe I should hop a plane & go give som pep talks...

    Me, too ! It's my first time to have virtual friends. I had no idea like this one year ago.
    I've been very happy to talk with you, dana, Nicoletta, and corinna, Giffy, and Mel who had a fantastic idea to host this blog, and I always feel grateful to her.

    Thanks for the links on Romania and music by Ryuichi Sakamoto.

    I remember I felt something strange
    to know that Romania is not the slav, but latin when I was a junior high school student. I thought the same as you mentioned that Romania is an island in the slav sea. And I understand you have defended, I learned it in school, but I understood that it was owning to the geographical reason. Now I think there are more other reasons, too.

    dana, I'm going, so don't have enough time to write all what I want to, so I write only one thing today.

    I'm very happy that you love the music by Ryuichi Sakamoto. He first planned to make his career in the classical music, but produced another world to live. I've once read his interview, and let me introduce it to you. He was asked about the first meet with music, and he answered it was when he was a child. According to the interview, when he visited his uncle's house when he was a boy, he had an apportunity to listen to the music by Debussy. His uncle was a great musc lover. Sakamoto said he thought he loved it very much and asked his uncle to give the record to him. Then he listened to it thousands times until it did sound anymore. The work of music he indulged is " String Quartet " by Claude Debussy. He started from it, he mentioned.

    Hope you enjoy the weekend, my dear dana ! It's very very Brrr here in Tokyo today, but I go out shopping, and then to the concert hall.

    Thanks for the vid, baby! I know it for a few months and I still like to listen to it! But I didn't know it's not "Forget"... LOL

    Wish your computer a safe travel on its way home! Haha!
    Have a nice weekend, my dear! Hugs!

    @Ekaterina
    Enjoy the weekend wherever you go, to the concert, to the opera, or staying home with your sweet little sister! Kisses!

    My dear Ekaterina, unfortunately I know very little about Japan and about its people! But every time when I learn something new I'm impressed! It has happened the same with Ryuichi Sakamoto. Thank you for telling me about his first meeting with the classical music! I liked it!
    You know I do not have musical culture and I'm more into commercial music like pop-rock, but from time to time I like to listen to some other kind of music!

    About our history, it's true we were attacked not just bc geographical reasons, but bc for our natural resources. We have mines of gold, salt, coal, we have oil, we have woods and last but not least we have a fertile ground! In the interwar period Romania was called "the breadbasket of Europe".

    Hope you have a beautiful day and not very BRRRR! :)))
    Kisses and hugs!

  7. @Nicoletta.
    sorry to post late due to my jammed schedule this week.
    Nicoletta, let me talk back about Super-G. That's Bode I was crazy about ! He was almost winning with one ski. ... :-))) and the Japan Times reported as Innerhofer sayint he was actually inspired by Bode's run !

    btw, Maria and Lindsey are back now. Hope it inspired Aksel. I'm not sure he's fit tomorrow, but in time for GS.

    Then, the situation in Cairo seems to be better.

    Hope you enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon, my dear Nicoletta ! Hugs !

    Body is a special guy/racer, Ha Ha! I have read that in 2005 he went down on one ski at a race!! He is an artist and a good showman too.
    Wow, I remember you had a little dream about Bode! That is cool, Ekaterina!! LOL

    For Egypt, I think Egypt is Egypt. I do not expect to much.

    Hope sincerely Aksel feels good and is able to do the Super Combi on Monday. Most important he does the race without to much pressure. My suggestion would be: Just ski man, and look what you can do!! That's all!

    Today I watched DH race. Not really the whole race, but especially some Swiss girls. Lara Gut could race after her double salti in last slalom race. It was possible for her, even with injury at her knee. 4th place again, think that is ok!

    Here I try to post some links from Garmisch, as always I am sorry - no guarantee - that you can see the vids.

    Have a pleasant Sunday evening and a good start into the new week, Ekaterina!

    Hugs & Kisses!

    Sakamoto won Academy Award ( Oscar )for Original Music Score in the film " Last Emperor " with some other musicians. I think it was late 1980's. Sakamoto said in the interview that he could be able to become to just concentrate on what he really wanted to do after winning Oscar. Before that, he said he had to do lots of work to live. The life of artist is not easy, so he said he was very grateful to win Oscar.

    Today was to be my cabbage day, but friends of my dad came, and I had no time to visit the grocery to buy a pair of cabbages today. I'll have 3 concerts again next week which starts from tomorrow, but I think I find my time. I may visit the best grocery on my way to the concert hall and put my cabbages in the cloakroom. The person in the cloakroom always asks it's guests if there are any valuables. ... ;-))) ... I'm going to answer " yes, they are cabbages. " without hesitation. I wish the conversation between us will continue. ...

    Have a pretty nice Sunday afternoon, my dear dana ! Hugs !

  11. @dana. & @Nicoletta.
    Thanks for the link, Nicolettchen, however my pc cannot show it. I don't know why.

    btw, I really worry about our big guy today. Thinking back my dizziness last December. In my case, that was not my head, but my neck, and the dizziness came the next morning without any expectation. When I watched the way Aksel walked helped by the medical people, I thought it is just like me in December when I was taken to the doctor. Aksel didn't mention he hurt his neck in the blog, but sometimes it is not always noticed well. Of course he is strong in soul & body, so if he says he goes, I think it's OK.
    I've been thinking about it since last night, and I think you do the same as me.

    na ja.

    Let's enjoy the SC ! my dear dana & Nicoletta !

  12. Hello girls!

    Wooohooo! Aksel did a great first run! I watched him at work, I can't tell you how happy I am!:) I was a little worried too before the race but our BIG Viking did a perfect DH race!

    @Ekaterina
    I hope some other spectator at the concert will not put in the cloakroom a little rabbit near your cabbage! Haha!
    And if the person in the cloakroom will ask you about the cabbage you can tell her/him the whole procedure to make sour cabbage in Romanian style! LOL

    @Nicoletta
    I'm very sorry I can't see any video you posted of the opening ceremony and the prize giving ceremony!! They are not available in my country!

    Wish you all a beautiful new week! Hugs and kisses for everyone!

    Sorry, I forgot:

    HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!
