Aksel's Back Home & So Is My Computer!

I'm glad Aksel is taking some time off to heal his knee! It's a very vital part for his job. I'm also glad my computer is now back & fixed! Everything is still on it!

So you are the lucky owner of two great computers now, Mel?!

I think that is pretty cool, Mel! Just kidding, because I know, you need it for school!

Hope you like still going to school, and have good teachers.
    Which is your favorite subject?
    Math? or something else?

And do you have a really nice teacher, you love best?

I am afraid, the cabbage price will raise in the next couple of weeks because now everybody on the blog is starting with Sarmale or the procedure with the cabbage like Corinna said, against inflammation and rheumatics. LOL!

But I think it is just a little problem, the main problem we will get with the raising oel prices! That is the consequence if the Arab world gets on fire!

  4. @Giffy/Dana

Found this youtube example with a guy speaking the West Cost accent. I think it comes close to the way Ted Ligety speaks:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSxpJi1SoJI&feature=related

Ted Ligety is a nice guy, he is charming, and in a certain way, he is attractive. I like this accent, I do not yet know if I think this accent is kind of sexy?? LOL!

    @Giffy
So your son is good looking guy too!

    @All
    Have a pleasant day!!

    Hugs & Kisses!

  5. @nicoletta haha, but as you read also i´m not in our century! haha but i know my patient also make that and they have good results with cabbage and quark! that´s why i told him that

  6. Is this a recent photo of ALS and his medal? He must bite them all.

@Nicolleta HaHa! That was a good laugh! I don't think that Youtube guy was California West Coast, maybe Seattle. I'm thinking more like Shaun White's accent, maybe it's a snowboard or extreme sport accent. Alpine Skiing is definately an extreme sport.

@Corinna I like your cabbage advise. If I had a bad knee I would try it! :)

@Mel Congrats on getting your computer back. Do you ever want to change the color of the type on the blog? I know we started with red for JayJay...

@AM I could not see the link you posted on ALS site. It had expired. Is it available anywhere else?

@Dana My dear Dana, hello! Can't leave you out.

    ReplyDelete
  7. @Ekaterina Cabbage honeymoon. LOL! :)

P.S. Do we know for sure ALS is home in Oslo? He's gotten tricky! You know what he needs is a good suana and then post the picture of it on his blog.

  8. @Nicoletta.
yes, I feel responsible and almost even guilty about it, and hope no rabbits will be starved. haha.....!!!

And I exactly worry about that, too. The crude oil price. I often think things as the exchange rate of the currency and the price of oil are the material for the better economy or the worse economy of the world.

Then, what is going on in the Arab nations looks like the domino effect. It also looks like what African nations sought independence in the 20th century. Did all of them correctly understand what was it to be independent ? ... and do the people in the Arab nations this time understand what is it to become the democratic nations ? ...

And there is the new keyword, that is, the internet. I'm a bit suspicious if it is used in the right way. Or it will bring only another chaos, bc the situation in the Arabic nations for the past some weeks seems just feverish. Of course I think they should become the democratic nations, but I do if they think the democracy as like we think.

I'll keep on watching it !

Have a pleasant evening, my dear Nicoletta !

  9. @Mel.
Congrats Mel ! At last you get it back !

    @corinna.
    love the cabbage hausmittel !
However we don't have the white cabbage. Is it good with the green cabbage ?

    @Giffy.
Although the honeymoon is said to be sweet, my cabbages are trying to become sour. ... :-)))
But I believe anyhow they enjoy it, bc I knocked the cointainer ( their sweet home ) some hours ago and no answer from them. ( !!! )

LOL! It is always great to make somebody laugh - but it was not really my intention!

You know, I didn't care what the guy on the youtube video was talking about, but I am sure, his way of speaking was nearly the way Ted speaks.
Of course this is my personal opinion.

What do you say, sportsman from extreme sports have their own language?
Could be, I agree with you!

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Corinna

I completely agree with you, to use cabbage for a the knee is very useful. I like this way of healing method.

Furthermore, it speaks definitely for you, if you as a physio recommend this kind of natural treatment. That is great!! My compliments to you!

    ReplyDelete
  12. @Mel

    WOW, MEL!

ARE YOU EXPERIMENTING FUNNY THINGS WITH YOUR NEW COMPUTER?????

    You should see my screen!!

All kind of colours, I think I have to get my sun glasses!!
    LOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Nicoletta Sorry I was trying to match the colors of the blog to Aksels' helmet. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  14. @Mel

    I see, Ha Ha!

Be careful Mel, the writting style is great, maybe I have just to get used to it.

As long as you do not change the letters into Chinese letters, everything is allright!!!!!

I expect you to try out more, it is ok for me, go ahead Mel!!

Thanks for creating a cool blog for us!

    ReplyDelete
  15. @Corinna Thank you! I have missed my "baby" so very much!

@Nicoletta Yes I am now the owner of 2 great computers. Acer, of course. I have to support Aksel in some way.;-) I love my Math & Business Adiministration classes. I would have to say that my favorite teacher is Professor Byron Fay. He is great. He plays music on his Mac when he's setting up for the class. Last week we started chapter 5 & he was using the Mafia & drugs as examples of a business. Which is fitting because Canton, OH is called Little Chicago. We are half way between New York & Chicago, so they would stop here & some of them decided to stay.

@Giffy Is this better? Now it matches Aksels' Red Bull helmet!

    @Ekaterina Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Nicolette The font is called Cherry Cream Soda. I thought it sounded interesting & I liked the look. Then again I could just be thristy. There was another one that was cursive, but it just seemed too hard to read. I won't change the font to Chinese letters. I wouldn't be able to read anything. I'm done playing with the colors now. I may change the font if everybody doesn't like it though. Do you like how the colors are?

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Mel

That was only a joke, the one with the Chinese letters! LOL

I like the name "Cherry Cream Soda" too, sounds like a drink.

Don't hesitat to change colours again, Mel!

My surprise was only to big because I did not expect to get suddenly an other writting style and also different colours at one time.

    1.
If you ask me, maybe the white writting is a bit hard or agressive on the black background???

    2.
Maybe the date + time, for example:

    FEBRUARY 22, 2011
    11:52
could be a little bit smaller and perhaps in white!!

    3.
In my opinion, the text is better to read in a colour, because it makes the eyes not so tired.
What about green or greenish, this colour is good for the eyes, they say?

I cannot judge without seeing it!!

Please do not hesitate to try out several colours, I am "warned" now!!

It is absolutely not a problem!!!!
In the contrary, a lot of fun!!

    Go ahead, Mel! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Nicoletta How about this yellow? There is no green on Aksels' helmet. I'll work on getting the date & time smaller. I may have to change the font to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Nicoletta Disregard my previous post. I would delete it, but the delete button is not showing up on my computer. :-( How about blue?

    ReplyDelete
  20. @Mel

You do not believe it, I see the writting in a royal blue - not yellow!!

But it is much more relaxing and even ideal, at least for my eyes!

And by the way, I like blue very much. I think, it is perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think I'm having too much fun changing colors. I think I'm gonna leave it alone for awhile. I may change it back to the blue. I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ok I did change it back to blue...I wonder if I made the background a dark gray if it would look better...

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Mel

I was quickly in the kitchen to prepare something to eat, but I saw the dark grey version. I found it pretty cool.

Grey looked more stylish or modern to me. Writting on black does almost everybody.

And dark grey seems for me to be more agreable to the eyes than black!

Do as you please, Mel, you are good in mixing drinks, I can see you have a lot of talents in mixing colours.

    You are creative woman, Mel,
    I am sure.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Mel

Just one suggestion, I liked the lighter version of grey!

The actual one, looks a bit milky!

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Mel

Amazing, the blog looks again completely different!!

Maybe you play a little bit more, Mel .... Ha, Ha.

I am looking forward to see the result tomorrow morning.

    I have to leave now!!

    Have a great afternoon, Mel!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Forgot to say, for the eyes it is quite relaxing now.

    Thanks, Mel!

  27. @nicoletta i learn a lot of things from my patients, also the old "hausmittel", but that about the cabbage and the quark i learned on my sportphysio course! i also be used to say to my patient they should try out "arnika" or "arnikaglobuli", you can take the arnika blossom and put then in pure alcohol more then 70% for some weeks and then you can make cold compresses with them when you had a swollen knee or anckle! the arnikaglobulis you take 15 every two hours and they be against inflammations!

    http://www.pharmeo.de/product_info.php/products_id/1758443/XTCsid/54a9618be2ae83cec552fadcb921f4c5

i use this also for my knee, i had also a surgery for 8 years, and this one is the only thing which help me the most!

    @ekaterina
    i mean this one

    http://obst-gemuese.bitpalast.net/images/objects/weisskohl.jpg

you can also use this one

    http://www.fruechteadam.de/img/Wirsing.jpg

it is a wirsing, sorry i don´t know the english word for it

    ReplyDelete
  28. @nicoletta oh and i forget i also had told that with cabbage and quark to some of my patient and they said "what should i do?that should really help? and a few days later they came and said, that really helped! i never thought that!

    ReplyDelete
  29. @mel i like it how it is right now! i like the colours and the font

  30. @Ekaterina

I totally agree with you, the problems in the Arabic World create a deep impact on the World economy.

That means, oil prices go up, currencies go down, stock exchanges are in troubles, maybe only gold is rising.

Today, I read that the OPEC wants to lower the oil prices to help calming down the situation.

Regarding democracy, I have also the impact that it should grow step by step, well-organized, and it needs a lot of goodwill from the leaders as well as the people.

Difficult to predict, what will happen, and I think you cannot cure so many problems only by changing the regime or the leader.

It is important to understood, that all these different Arab states cannot be compared, it needs a separate solution for each country.

Sorry to say, the mess is arranged. I really hope the situation is not exploding and leads to another worldwide financial crises.

    Let's never loose hope!

Sorry, I have to leave now, the topic and the computer!
    I am out for work.

Wish you an agreable evening, dear Ekaterina, and a good result with Sarmale the 2nd!!!

    Hugs!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think I'm gonna leave the colors alone for the time being. I like how they turned out, but then again I may change my mind & decide I don't like them.

I think I totally bombed my math test. I'm good at math, but a couple of them I wasn't sure about & a couple that seemed like she was speaking a different language. Off to do more homework.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Mel.
    Amazing ! I like it, Mel !

btw, Mel, it's the example easy to understand, I think. Although I only know about Mafia ( of course ! )in the movies, first they took up business of liquor when it was illegal, then started involved in gamble, and drugs. The mafia is well organized to deal in the illegal items which bring them big money. I once worked as an assistant to the company which hosted business course ( something like a seminar )when I was a uni student as a part time job, and had an opportunity to take the course free ! The teacher repeated that the demand you saw in the world had already finished, so, to train ourselves to imagine what would be the next demand. I think Mafia knows the business even if it's illegal. The drugs have stayed in the higher demand, to our grief.
I just remember it reading your text. So please neglect it, I understand you learn the basic point on business now.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @corinna,
Thanks for the link, corinna !
and, yes, we have also " wirsing " and we often cook it in winter.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Nicoletta.
I agree with you that all Arab states have every different character coming from geography, history, and religion which has several groups.
And I wish the recent situation will not give big damage to the world economy.

Now, I'm going to take a bath.

    @all ladies.
Have a pleasant morning, afternoon, and evening ! Hugs !

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ok I got bored & changed the background color again. LOL

@Ekaterina It was an easy example to follow. I think he picked it because most of us know someone who had family in the Mafia. He knows the guy who owns Papa Bears/Pizza Oven which was a Mob business back in the day. I still think it is because they only hire from certain Italian families in the area. I know several guys who have or still work for them. Enjoy your bath!

  36. @Mel This color combo is nice. I was on yesterday and it was so bright I had to jump off. I thought you were using Dana's flag colors? Glad you had fun! Thanks for all you do!

@Dana Romania's Got Talent was on our news. You have a young man performing with a very high opera voice?

@AM I'm glad to hear you have sun, I worry about you in the snowy north. I wouldn't think Phenix would want to sell white snow jackets and pants in case people get stuck in an avalanche. Would make the search and rescue difficult...

@Ekaterina LOL! A shadow would be perfect and as you so wisely noticed he does post a lot of his shadow.

Have a great day everyone. Love and Hugs all around! :)

  37. Hi girls!
You may laugh of me but I hardly can read your comments here!!! LOL
    @Mel
It looks very nice at the first sight but it seems very tiring for my eyes, I think I need glasses! Hahaha!!!
So please girls, excuse me and don't be worried if I'll not write too much here, it's not bc I don't pay attention to your comments, it's bc I really can't read this character of the letters!
Don't get me wrong and don't change anything for me, but I really have problems reading them!LOL

    @Giffy
What? Unbelievable!!! Did you see this teenager on your news? Yes, he was the greatest surprise in the first edition of Romania's Got Talent! He's 15 and he hasn't taken any music lesson so far, but he sings amazingly!

Girls, I wish you all a nice evening/day! Hugs and kisses! Your blind friend, Dana! Hahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Dana COME BACK!!!!!!! Is it just the font of the text? I changed it & the background color again. It seemed too harsh with the really light grey after I looked at it longer. The font is now Crafty Girls. That was my 3rd choice. Let me know if this is better.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Mel
Oh, my dear Mel! I'm so sorry I made you troubles! As I told you before you don't have to change anything for me! I saw the other girls like the changes you made!
And I didn't go anywhere, I just couldn't read that kind of characters! It's about the form of the letters, my eyes get tired bc of them, but it's not your fault!
    I'm really embarrassed! I apologize!
I know you've made so many things for us and I really appreciate!

    Love you!

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Mel Sorry I brought up changing the color of the font. I'm a trouble maker. Thanks for trying.

@Dana Ah! Dana come back! You're are our most valuable player. We can always count on you for some cheerful comment or music suggestion. The last font Cherry Cream Soda, was hard to read, but I have reading glasses, and I'm using a tv for a computer monitor so everything is horizontally distorted. I thought it was me. My smiley face was sideways. :) I like crafty girls better do you?

    ReplyDelete
  41. @Giffy
Eeehh! You little liar!! "Our most valuable player"!!! Are you making fun of me? LMAO It doesn't matter, I love you anyway!:)
I don't have glasses but I think I need it! A year ago I took some medicine for my hormonal disorders (thyroid) and as side effect it said I'll have problems with my eyes! I thought it will be nothing serious but now I have big problems watching tv or using pc!

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Giffy
And you don't get rid of me so easily! You'd wish!! Hahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Trying to pay attention in class & blog. I'm such a bad student.

@Dana It's no trouble. I want everybody to be able to read the blog without any trouble. Cherry Cream Soda is a hard font to read. I hope this font is easier to read. I made the font a little bigger too. I like this font better anyway.

@Giffy I was thinking of changing things anyway. You just motivated me in doing it. I've been in a mood to change things lately. I went back to school & changed my hair color to a lighter auburn color.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Mel
Yes, baby, it's much better! Thank you so much!

Are you at school right now? And you're checking the blog while your professor is talking to you and your mates? Bad, bad girl!! LOL
I'll send you some pics of Aksel soon, but pay attention to your professor, not to them, please! Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  45. @Dana Yes I'm at school. He was just telling us again what we needed for our paper, but I wrote it all down last week when he told us. YAY! More Aksel pics! I think Aksel would be more interesting to listen to. My teacher is kind of like The Nutty Professor. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Mel Good, I was feeling guilty like I shouldn't have mentioned it. I hope you enjoy your new hair color. I always get a new hair style or color in the spring, when I come out of hibernation. It's like the shearing of the sheep.

@Dana Ooh! Do you have some new pictures? I must admit they photo of ALS & JM on Valentines after his win is very sweet. BTW, Good I don't want to get rid of you. I wasn't kidding, you are our most valuable player! I do feel that way, you're always positive, caring, and full of love!

@Nicoletta People tell me my son looks like a younger, (he's only 20) Owen Wilson, but he doesn't have a broken nose. He's a competitive swimmer so he's in great shape, and no sports injuries, there's no contact in swimming. LOL! That's why I'm much better informed on swimming and summer sports. I shouldn't even be following an alpine skier, but I'm having such fun learning.

    ReplyDelete
  47. @Dana LOL Look how big the font is now! Do you have large print books for old people in Romania? Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Mel

Really love your comments about school, Mel. Nice you have some interesting teachers with geat stories, like about the Mafia, etc.

I think it is always nice if teacher have a huge personality! OK, the nutty Professor is a bit odd! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Giffy

Nice to hear that your son is into swimm sports!
I understand, that he looks good and has of course a very trained body!

You are right about injuries! In comparison with ski sports swimming is absolutely harmless!

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Corinna

Thank you for the list with the Hausmittel.

I love this kind of healing methods. Whenever I need help, I will try to aks you!

LOL Hope I'm not annoying you with so many pics!! Just tell me and I'll stop sending! Haha! No offense!

    @Giffy
Yes, I have some pictures, some new I think, I don't know if you and the girls saw them.
I was kidding about getting rid of me! LOL And thanks for your kind and warm words, Sis! As I just said, I love you anyway! Haha!

I think you have a very handsome son!!!! Swimmer and looking like a younger Owen Wilson (but without a broken nose!! LOL) Cool! What's his name? If I may ask... Sorry if I'm too curious!

It's not about the font! Its' about the form of the letters! I don't know how to explain you to understand me, you know my English is not very good! I mean if the form of the letters would be like here, before to post the comment, it would be no problem to see them even if they are not big! Hahaha! Do you know what I mean??? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Dana I haven't even checked my e-mail yet. I was trying to be a good girl. I'll go check my e-mail now. Continue to send pics. I don't mind at all.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @Dana *drool* I think I have come up with a few new blogs to keep us busy. ;-) LOL

So you can check your e-mail later!

    Hollediiiee!!!

Did you ever see Aksel in Leather pants!!

    Hope the link is working.

    @Mel

The actual font is very nice to look at.
But while reading it for a longer time, it makes me totally dizzy, and my eyes are swimming!!

    Excuse me & please Help!!

    Good night, Ladies!

  58. How about this font? It's called corsiva. I thought about trying a font that looked more hand written, but they are too hard to read.

    ReplyDelete
  59. @Mel.
The corsiva is elegant and I like it. To tell you the truth, I was in a bit panic this morning to look at the hand written type, bc it was not so easy to read. I think it is simply because I'm not used to it. But this corsiva is really nice. It's refined. Actually we are all elegant & refined ! Don't you think that ? ... :-))) !!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. @Nicoletta.
Thanks for the link, however I'm going to check it later. ... ;-)))
But I saw the pic you were talking about.
They really look like the honeymoon couple who enjoy their time in beautiful Bavaria. The costume is just becoming to them.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hi Girls

    Ha, Ha!
If I have not the courage to post a link directly on Aksel's blog, I post it here.

You can bet on it, it takes only a few minutes and you can see everything on Aksel's blog!

    LOL! That keeps me entertained.

By the way, I really think the ice is now broken and Aksel should really go ahead and post also sometimes a picture from Julia and him.

They are now dating for 1 year (Aksel said this to a TV guy from Switzerland) and they are now a "settled" couple!

In my opinion, Julia and Aksel look beeing so much in love, and I am sure Julia is good to Aksel.

The life of a ski racer is hard enough and needs so much energy all the time, not to speak of the risk of injuries.

Beside of that, Aksel & Julia are in the right age, have the same profession or even passion.
It seems to be a big problem for Aksel if Julia is not accepted from some people on his blog.

But I can see that as longer as it takes, Julia is truly accepted and the critic comments about her are becoming "snow from yesterday"!

It is clear that not everyone does share my opinion, and that is allright.

I would appreciate if Aksel goes back to the way as it was, sharing his daily life and normal things. More pics from the everyday business, etc. Pictures from the nature, scenerey. And most important, more entries!

My wish in Aksel's ear! Ha Ha.

Sometimes I have the feeling Askel is stalked or something is wrong. Obviously it is not only fun to be a celebrity!

    ReplyDelete
  62. @Mel

The newest font is nice too, and defintely more easy to read.

I have a very old Word and not a big variety of fonts.
    But what about:

    Arial or Tahoma

This are 2 fonts without to many "decoration" no idea to say it better. LOL!
I mean more sec, and that could be more agreeable to read.

Of course, everone has to feel comfortable and I give my best to be flexible.

On the otherhand, the message is the important thing and the font should not make the eyes to much tired.

I am looking forward to your next expermental font tests, Mel!

It is always fun to be surprised. Ha Ha.

    @All

Have a great and healthy day!!
    Hugs & Kisses!

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Dana I don't mind telling you my sons names because they may be in your family. My older son that just graduated college is Ken. He looks like my side and is a lot like me, he's actually very funny. My younger son is still in college, Kyle, and he is the evil doppelganger spitting image of my husband. If you printed out a black and white picture of Owen Wilson, staightened his nose, and drew a moustache and glasses on him it would look like my husband. First we have cooking lessons, now arts and crafts. Haha!

@Nicoletta I'm sure your right but, I hope he isn't being stalked. I am his fan and he can appear in pictures wearing lederhosen where ever he wants. Shouldn't he have socks on? He does look happy and that's what counts. I do miss seeing random photo's of taco night, his messy room, and his Dad and brother, etc...Kjetil had a good taco night photo. I wonder what his roomates twin is named?

My dear husband is in Delhi, India and he said they keep a monkey on a leash in front of the building to scare other monkey's away! It sounds like its a monkey bouncer. Hey! Where's our bouncer?

Everyone have a great time, whatever the time. It's almost the weekend. Enjoy!

  64. @Ekaterina I am almost too elegant and refined to mention the cabbages honeymoon is almost over. I shouldn't be thinking aobut their honeymoon at all. Please let us know the next step in their life together...

Thanks for telling me your sons' names! I know sometimes I'm too curious! LOL
I like their names and I like both names start with K! Hope Ken is not the guy MG was talking about on ALS-Barbie's Ken! Haha! Kidding, of course!
So you have TWO Owen Wilsons at home, your husband and Kyle! LOL
May I ask you how many days a year do you spend with your husband? LOL You always say he's in Paris, in Delhi... I think you miss him but in the same time I think this makes your relationship more exciting! You know what I mean! LMAO

I think one day Ekaterina will find a little baby cabbage in the container, the "fruit" of their honeymoon! Hehe!

Have a pleasant day, Sis! Kisses and hugs!

  66. @Dana I will have to read MG's comment again, was it today? I don't remember? My husband and his twin also have names starting with K. We had a deal he would name the boys and I would name the girls. It was a bad deal for me...LOL! But you're right. I do enjoy the days when I'm home alone, but also the days when he comes home to me. Keep up the good work Sis!

MG's comment is on the last post on ALS: Winter in Norway! She talks about Barbie doll and her partner, Ken! LOL It's easy to notice you have sons and not daughters, your boys didn't play with Barbie dolls! LOL

I remember you told me your husband has a twin brother! LOL You told me this when we talk about your MIL! LOL

I was luckier, I named my son Tudor! And his dad wanted to name him also Daniel (his name!) And then we were a family of Daniels bc my middle name is...Daniela (Dana is just an "abbreviation" from Daniela, I think I told you this before!) LOL
