Another Sign Of Being An Akselaholic

Your little brothers/sisters/kids start wearing Pimp glasses. Yup Josh has been Akselized yet again. Either that or Aksel stopped by for a visit & my brother is borrowimg his sunglasses. Then again it might just be a Capricorn thing.

@Buckeye Jep, was in Rome for the weekend! :D Have you been to Milano? You can go do some real good shopping there and it's just 2 hours from where I live! :D

So I'm gonna reask (is that a word?) a question Teekanne asked already! Maybe some who know the answer overlooked it! 'Cause I'm really curious too!!! :D
    "Teekanne said...
@all: does anyone know what this FIMH . . .WTMOMM sharon wrote on aksels blog means?

  4. Good morning!

@Mel Your brother is a cutie. I love his little smirk! That must be the built-in attitude that comes with the glasses.

@Anja I am dying to go to Milano but my credit cards want me to stay home!! I am going on two week holiday in Tuscany with my mom's family next spring, so I am starting an intense Italian course soon. I know some conversational Italian but I hate to sound like the stupid tourist.

I have no clue what WTMOMM means. Maybe it's her personal thing? I have never seen it before.

  5. Hello Ladies!

Hope you had a good start into your day or a good day at work! Depends on where you live! :D

@Cricket Aww, Milano's great! That sounds great! :D haha I just looked up where exactly Toscany is! haha
So you're going to Florence or are you travelling around a bit? :) Ahh, I wanna go there too someday! My mom told me Florence is really nice! :D
haha Well we did sound like tourists! I forgot all my italian! that's what happends when you never use it... *sigh*
But you definetly get treated better when you can talk italian! Mostly they'll not even try to talk english or an other laguage! :) They're kinda rude, especially the more south you go! :D

Thanks anyway! :D Grr, that really bothers me though! I wanna know! :D Guess I gotta ask her on the other blog! :D

Btw just heard the perfect song for us in the radio today!!! :D Enjoy!

  6. Hey ladies!

Why, oh why, is it 39 degrees on May 4?? I want summer!!! Could be worse, it could be snowing like it is at Aksel's! I am sooooo done with winter!

@Anja, I have no idea what WTMOMM means. I googled it, and nothing came up. *shrugs*

@Mel, your brother is adorable! I love sunglasses, almost as much as purses and nail polish (sorry I missed that conversation yesterday!).

@Cricket, stuff me in your suitcase and take me to Italy with you, okay? ;-) I've always wanted to go to Italy! Technically, I've been all over Europe, but I was an infant so it really doesn't count. One of these days.....

    Have a nice day, everyone!

  7. @ Cricket Yeah he is a little cutie. He has all the girls chasing after him. He always smirks like that. I think it may be a male Capricorn thing.

@ Kim He is adorable...you want him? I'll pay for the shipping & handeling. JK I would miss my Joshy.

@ Anja No clue what WTMOMM means. It must be something that her & her friends use.

  8. @Anja The place we are planning to rent is in the town of Lucca, which is about 30km from Pisa and 80km from Florence. We are planning a few side trips in the first week. I want to be able to speak somewhat fluent Italian because we'll be outside of the major cities. It's easy for native English speakers to expect everyone else to know the language because it's so worldwide, but I don't like people who do that.

@Kim I am going to have to bring a suitcase the size of the moon to fit all the people who want to come! Too bad I can't move my Viking house party there.

  9. @Mel, wanna trade? He looks so sweet and innocent compared to my devil-child! :-p

@Cricket, I bet that is true! *jealous*

I desperately need a large coffee laced with red bull today. Ugh... I'm so tired! The past few days have been trying, for sure. I'd love a good stiff, um, drink, lol, but I'm afraid it would make me go to sleep! Caffeine it is, today.

  10. I love winter! I just wish we would actually have snow during the winter months! That really sucked this year, I was walking around in a shirt last november! It was about 15°! I don't like that at all!

@Kim & Mel Thanks anyway! :D Maybe I'm going to ask over there what it means! Hope that's not rude or so?! :)

@Cricket Lucca... I know that name from somewhere! Ha! It just poped into my mind where I've known that town from! It quite bothered me! We had to read a book last year from 'Heinrich Heine' called 'The baths of Lucca' and 'The town of Lucca'! Really weird books, but I guess that's Heine! :D haha sorry for that sidenote! ;)
I know what you mean, but I think they too need to speak a bit english in the main cities like Rome, Florence and Milano! I mean they're living from the tourists and you can't except everyone to speak their language fluently! :) I mean, when both parties can talk a bit the other language, it should be possible to communicate! :D
Oh well maybe that's a swiss thing! We alway adjust and the speak the language of the other one! :D

@Kim what happend that you're so tired? If I may ask! :D
*hands Kim a cup of coffe, black!* :D

  11. @Anja... I don't know if you've heard about the flooding in Nashville, TN? It's been horrible, and horribly devastating. My parents and sisters live in the area. My parents were stuck for 14 hours on I-40, with the interstate flooded in front of them and behind them. Both of my sisters lost electricity at their homes, so they had no way of knowing what was going on or how dangerous the situation was around them. All they had were their cell phones. So... my "job" the past 2 days has been to keep my sisters constantly informed of where the flooding was and how close it was to them, and to help get my parents safely around the flooded roads when they were finally able to get off the interstate. It took them 2 days to get to their house, which was an hour from where they were stranded! The only way they could go was north, and they could only go so far. They had to stop at a hotel, and the next morning the town I sent them to also flooded! I ended up having to send them to KY get back to their house. It was crazy. Thankfully, their homes only had minor flooding... considering there are entire neighborhoods under 10+ feet of water, they were lucky!

I realized just how valuable modern technology is. It was crazy that I was able to keep them informed like I did from across the country, but I am so thankful I was able to. I am also thankful TDOT kept their websites updated every few minutes so I could tell exactly where flooded roads were, and thankful for the news stations for keeping us informed on internetland where the flood waters were rising so I could help my sisters.

Nashville is in a horrible mess. For you country music fans, the Grand Ole Opry, Opryland Hotel, Music Row, the historic bars, and the Country Music Hall of Fame are all flooded. Decades of memorabilia has been destroyed. Very sad. It's going to take Nashville a long time to recover from this. :-(

Anyway, I haven't gotten much sleep the past 2 days because of this. I'm feeling it today! Funny thing is, this has really made me homesick. I wanna go back to Nashville! Even if it is flooded, lol.

  12. I always seem to write novels, don't I? lol!

  13. @Kim Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry to hear that!!! :o
That does sound horrible! No wonder you're so tired. I hope though, your family is fine now? Except for some 'minor' flooding. :(

So sad to hear about Nashville! Even I know the city and what it stands for... I'm speechless for once...

I just realise I kinda missed alot over the weekend! Flooding in Nashvill, that in New York! :( Hope that was it for quite a while!

  14. @Kim That is so scary! I am glad your family is safe. I saw some pictures of Nashville on the news this morning and it's very sad.

We had flooding in parts of Massachusetts at the end of March. A coworker's brother and his family had to be evacuated from their house by boat. They lost most of their personal belongings including 2 cars. They just moved back into the house last weekend after almost a month of repairs. Living near water you have a constant reminder of how powerful Mother Nature is!

  15. Thanks, ladies.

@Anja, thankfully, my family is all well. They're just trying to dry out, then go help with the clean-up efforts in town. They were lucky!

@Cricket, I couldn't imagine losing everything like that. There were a lot of boat rescues in Nashville as well. The majority of people didn't have flood insurance (according to the news) as they're not in a flood plain. The rivers have never been so high... no one ever thought the water would reach where it did! And it all happened so fast, many people didn't have time to react.

The world has had enough natural disasters for a while. Mother Nature needs to back off!! ;-)

  16. Hey Everybody! Just thought I'd drop in for a few lines.
Sorry to hear that your family was so affected by the flooding.
Those muddy waters took out Nashville leaving it in a pretty bad way.
    Anyway, Love the Mouth on my mouth!!!:D Very creative. I'd love for that to happen...please wait while I dream on. I'm sorry to have disappointed you with the(He's) "Wayyyy too Much On My Mind", in every way possible. I'll try and think of something else that can't be publicized on his blog for you. :}
