Mountain Climbing...

Skier style. This looks like a very fun way to view a mountain.

Sorry I've been away for so long. Finals are 2 weeks away & I gotta study, study, study!!! For the past month we have been having test every other week. I think I may have gotten another gray hair from the stress of school, friends, work, & family. Good thing I'm dyeing it before I go to Florida!!! 2 weeks ago I got strep throat, a sinus infection, & an ear infection in both ears. It sucked so bad. The z-pack she gave me didn't do anything for it. Last Thursday she gave me Avelox. Cost me $30, but it was so worth it! I felt the best I had in a week on Friday & now my voice is back to normal. I hope everyone has been having good weather. Not so much here in Ohio. I think Mother Nature thinks it's still winter time & not spring. We had snow flurries this week!!! I will go back & read the old posts & catch up. I hope everyone is doing well. Off to take another test...catch ya'll later.

    Our travel to Chiemsee is again well organized by another travel agent. As usual we travel by bus, this is the easiest way for us to have some relaxing days. The islands Herren- and Frauenchiemsee are included as well as the "Märchenschloss"!!

    Yesterday I saw pictures from the cherry blossom in Tokio. This is the season right now, Ekaterina?? You seem to have very nice rituals at this wonderful time.

    At the moment we celebrate some Sommer temperatures, starting yesterday with 22 degrees and on Saturday we will have 26 degrees, wonderful weather to be around the lake!

    I hope you feel better right now. I understand how busy you've been, but I also understand " study " is very important and sometimes worth to be tired. But, a bit tired, I mean. It's not good to be taken ill because of it !

    Florida waits for you, dear Mel !

    @Nicoletta

    yes, I remember the bus with a friendly face ! very much looking forward to your report !

    As for the cherry blossoms, oh my God, during the cherry blossom season in Tokyo this year, I was totally in the hospital. ... :-(((
    The cherry blossom " belt " is now in the northern part of Japan.

    Some people says it will take about one year for the patient who takes the big orthopedic surgery to recover completely, and I feel it true. I know I can move more comfortably after I graduate from the corset, but lots of things, mainly the new good balance of my body is not so easy to get used to. But I don't mind, bc the water dragon indicates step by step.

    I've been still annoyed by a slight fever very often, but Dr. Shiba told me it will last for about 3 months after the surgery, so I wouldn't take a slight fever seriously, though it's not fun at all. I've never done " bed rest " except sleep during night, so I'm upset. I know I still need a bed rest, but I don't like it, bc my various schedule must be postponed and postponed, and it is just a strong stress for me. So I change my way of thinking, that is, I have to concentrate on the corset related matter. It is to fix my bones. I think I still have to wear it for next 2 months, so during the next two months, I also concentrate on recovering from the fatigue and light muscle training. It's too hard for me to have a heavy muscle training with a corset on.
    Then, after the corset period, I start to train a little by little, then comes my holidays in Germany. My German friends there plan the relax time for me while I'm there, and I think it will be one part of my rehabilitation in summer. It's a kind of the step by step way.

    sorry,Nicolettchen, it seems I complain of my situation too much.....
    But I've been very very healthy and strong, so I'm honestly surprised with the reality after the surgery.

    @All ladies !
    Hope you enjoy a great Sunday !

    I understand you quite good Ekaterina, you are in the middle of a long way, a longer way you would have expected ever.

    Dr. Shiba might be very pleased because it was an excellent surgery. For you it is not yet what you expected to have and it will need again a big portion of patience, efforts and hope to regain the perfect health back.

    Even if for Dr. Shiba your back was not perfect, you felt very healthy. This point is very much clear for me.

    I am so glad you can look forward to your holidays in Germany. The first thing what will really cheer you up beside of being back with your dad and your baby sister.

    Take every day little steps, like you do it now and never give up, Ekaterina!

    I am thinking of you and keep my fingers strongly crossed for you.

    Love you, Ekaterina!

    Hugs and Kisses!

    I have no words to speak, dear Nicoletta. You do understand my real situation very very well as if you were with me by my side in Tokio always.
    I feel it looks a magic which only friendship can make. I really thank you so much for your deep insight with love. I'm absolutely happy you understand what I feel about my body & health after the successful surgery, Nicolettchen !
    Yes,I take and I'll take little steps every day with a big portion of patience.

    I walked outside for a very short distance yesterday, and it was the first time after I returned from the hospital. And I walked longer distance today. My house is located on the hill, so I naturally have to walk on the slopes. I still walk very slowly, but I don't mind about it, bc step by step. The surgery was just one month ago ( March the 29th ),and I didn't feel any slight fever today. It's also the first time after the surgery. I don't know about tomorrow, but it seems my physical strength is coming back little by little every day. I still take a bed rest, but I feel it's going to be less and none eventually. I made an appointment with my hair dresser on Thursday for hair manicure. I think I'll be able to keep on sitting for 2 hours without a bed rest. I think I take a taxi. Usually I take a train for one stop and walk for 10 minutes in the crowded street to my hair dresser, but I think it's still a bit too early for me.
    Until a few days ago, my bed rest was vain, bc I felt very tired. But now I can enjoy reading books during a bed rest.

    That's my update, dear Nicoletta.

    btw, ANR Concentrate seems going well. ... :-)))

    @corinna

    Thank you, corinna. My condition is changing every day, but at least I feel good health reaches me day by day.

    @All ladies !

    Are you ready for a beautiful month of May ?

    What colours did you choose?

    Did you see Luca Hänni? I remembered his name as I heard he made first at the "Deutschland sucht den Superstar".

    He really seems to be a talented guy. You found out first, Corinna! LOL

    How is your knee, Corinna?

  12. @Ekaterina

    You are very welcome, Ekaterina!
    Perhaps I can understand you so good, Ekaterina, because with my incredible coughing period I was also felling far away from my health condition which I used to have. In this time I felt only sick or terribly sick! Thanks god, no it is gone and I feel back to normal! The whole sickness took me approx. 14 months. a long time!! :))))

    Glad your A.N.R.C. therapy shows up some success!! I feel also quite good, maybe also with the nice and warm weather which is much better than the rough Winter period with the heating on.

    Your story about walking a longer distance alone sounds very exiting, Ekaterina!
    I have no driving licence!!, but I cab imagine your first walk is to compare with the first time driving alone on the roads. :))))

    Going to the hairdresser and things like that will let you feel better and better, so you enjoy your way back to normal. I am sure the upcoming Spring/Summer period will give you a fast healing impulse and some extra energy.

    How do you do with learning a little German for your holidays, Ekaterina?

  14. @corinna

    Exactly !
    I thought I understood very well that we were part of nature before the surgery. But I seems I did 't so well. I strongly feel now that I'm really one part of the nature in this period of the recovery.

    @Nicoletta

    I remember your cough trouble. I also remember one day your post began with " cough, cough ", and I read it with respect that you never lost a good sense of humor even if you were not well.

    You're right, it's the same as the first drive alone. ... ;-)))
    I walked the same course as yesterday twice today, and I'm thinking another harder course tomorrow. I feel I'm recovering. " ing " is important for me.

    I think I'll start again learning German in May( tomorrow ! ). As I mentioned several times I've been so much annoyed with a slight fever every day since the surgery, and I couldn't do anything even of my
    favorite except visiting here and sending mails to my friends in Germany and Tokyo. But I became to be able to read books during a bed rest for the past 5 days, and I became to feel better. I think I'll be able to sit at my desk more and more with lesser bed rest, and the first thing I do is to open my German book with a thick dictionary.

    @All ladies !

    Lovely May comes !
    Loving you ! Kisses & Hugs !

    @All my girls I can't believe that this week is the last week of classes. I'm excited & nervous. I have 2 finals & a group presentation next Monday. I just finished the paper & I hope the guys like it. If not they can rewrite it because I'm not! I'm pretty sure they will like it though. Tonight we are gonna work on the slide show. I have a feeling that I'm going to be left to do it though. They aren't good with Microsoft word & PowerPoint.

    In 13 days I will be on a plane heading to Florida to soak up the sun & fun! I can't wait! I have a few more things that I need to pick up & then my bag will be packed except the things I use everyday.

    I hope that everyone is having a good day & are having good weather. If you're not you can come visit me because it is so nice out today. I hope it stays this way because this hot one day then cold the next is for the birds!

  23. @Nicoletta

    Thanks, Nicolettchen! I think I'm well and fine
    I visited TWMU first time after I left the hospital and met Dr. Shiba yesterday. I had a blood test and also took 2 X-Ray ( the front and the side of my body ), and Dr.Shiba examined and told me my backbones became straighter than while I stayed in the hospital after the surgery ! I remember he told me before the surgery that he planned to fix my bones to become further straight after the surgery. I actually couldn't understand what he intended to say, bc I lack of the professional medical knowledge. But I understand it now.
    Dr. Shiba is very satisfied with my recovery process and I naturally agree with him. As for the daily slight fever, he told me it is the good sign of the recovery, bc my whole body is fighting. As a matter of the fact, the transplanted bones show the best which Dr. Shiba expected.

    I took the train first time today after I left the hospital. Although it was only one stop, I walked the long stairs. One of my friends accompanied with me, of course, and we had some shopping. It was only for one hour " go out ", and after 15 minutes bed rest at my home, we had a lunch together. After she went back home, I went out by myself to choose the restaurant which I plan to have a lunch together with another friend tomorrow. It was only 30 minutes go-out, but I think it was enough for me at the present. So, although I still have a bed rest several times a day, I'm more active now. Dr.Shiba told me the daily life which I had and have after I'm back home is very good to the recovery.

    I'm still weak, but I become stronger a little by little every day.
    I also took my weight first time after the surgery of March 29th. It tells I lost 5 kg, that is, 42kg. I think I was even lighter than that while in the hospital and now on the way of the recovery of my weight.

    Dr. Shiba also told me to visit him in May 26th when the corset technique visits TWMU to make mine a bit comfortable.

    Again, let me please say thanks to you for the good vibes, dear Nicoletta !
    Then, the weather in Japan looks crazy. We had a big tornadoes yesterday, however not in Tokio. We are not used to the tornadoes and the weather official says they ask the US experts to give us the useful information of the forecast. The air over whole Japan has been very unstable and I make my " out-door " plan very carefully every day.

    I do hope you'll have the best weather during the holidays from May 20th to 24th !

    @Mel

    I suppose you're so much excited about your holidays in Florida, Mel ! You've been really busy, so you deserve it !

    @corinna

    Have you ever been in Salzwedel ? corinna ? I visited there with Uwe & late Birgit in 2008 when we had no idea we had to lose Birgit in 4 years.... We visited the Baumkuchen shop & factory which is the oldest one in Germany seit 1807 !
    Then, the postman came to my home holding the big box last week. Was ist das ? ... ;-))) It was the 3 Ringer Baumcuchen from Salzwedel sent me by Uwe ! I'm sure I gain my weight ! ... :-)))

    @dana

    How is your shoulders, my dear dana ?

    @All ladies !
    The political situation in Europe needs the extraordinary energy, mainly the economical matters, while all over the world watches the race the donkey vs the elephant in November. Japan ? ... nothing new and nothing exciting. Why ? ... To our great regret, we have not had the real professional politicians for many years, and nothing important has been decided. I am glad things are working so fine for you! Returning back, step by step to a normal life with going out with friends and having lunch or dinner with them, sounds very nice.
    Enjoy every little progress you made, Ekaterina!

    The best of all I think is Dr. Shiba is satisfied and told you that the back bones are getting stronger all the time. This is real great, Ekaterina!

    Weather conditions are also very unstable here, so I have looked for some clothes with long sleeves and for some with short sleeves. I decide in the last moment what I will take with me! LOL

    The politic situation is not so good at the moment in Europe. The change from Mr. Sarkozy to Mr. Hollande was not so well seen by the stock exchanges. I noticed Asia was very worried yesterday morning. BTW Angie is presumably very said to loose her friend Sarkozy!! :))))

    The problems in Greece and Spain are still not solved yet. The Water Dragon has still a big work to do. :))))))))

    that means: for the next weeks no chocolate,no pralines, no gummibears, no ice cream, no ketchup, no fruit, no dry fruit, no finished products, no finished joghourt and all other finished salad dressing

    and the funny thing out of this is: i don´t like chocolate, i don´t like pralines, i don´t like ketchup, i don´t like finished products i don´t like joghourt and all other finished salad dressing

    ok i love gummibears but ok then i don´t eat them

    It was a very sad news which hit me at the last moment of the last year. Birgit succeeded to make cancer go away, but the long-term chemotherapy took her life away.It often happens. A daughter of my dad's friend passes away in the same situation last autumn.

    I think Salzwedel belonged to the former DDR. As all of my German friends are from the former West Berlin and they're interested in visiting the former DDR cities. btw,I've been once in Colone, but not yet in Hamburg.
    I think some of your relatives of dad's live in Hamburg. The Hansestadt Hamburg !

    *before the surgery : 155cm/47kg
    *at the present : 161cm/42kg
    especially my legs look so thin !

    I think it's the lovely season around Pfingsten, corinna !
    But, is it the blood test which shows the fructose intolerance or do you notice any symptom ? I hope you can enjoy your holidays without any worry !

    @Nicoletta

    Thank you, dear Nicoletta. I'm so happy that you also feel happy about my recovery process !

    During the corset period, it's not easy to choose what to wear, simply because the corset is just big. The temperature here is not so hot and not so cold, but we still need something like a jacket. The most my favorite is always the sleeveless, though I don't know why. ... ;-))) I think in Japan there is not so big difference between the highest & the lowest temperature a day like in Europe. But I love the cool air in the morning and at night, and the strong sun in summer in Europe !

    yes ! poor Angie. ...
    The crisis will last for another some years. I sometimes feel it's quite ironic that in this time of the computer, we are helpless at the crisis. But I believe we can overcome if we reach the strong consensus by the strong will. I want to support Angie, bc she's been working very hard in the best style for years.

    @All ladies !

    No need to worry too much about!

    Angie is absolutely a very strong and hardworking woman. I like to watch her on TV the way she is going on with the male politicians from other countries. She is a pretty cool and amazing woman.

    Our weather is an absolute roller coaster! :)))) Today we had lots of rain several times during the day, very humid and around 20 degrees. Tomorrow and on Friday we will have to days with lots of sunshine with 27 degrees! On Saturday rain and thunderstorms and around 15 degrees. The finish of the week on Sunday is probably only 13 max.

    This weather makes us moody and sleepy and gives us a headache. :)))

  33. @ekaterina so sad about birgit!

    @ekaterina and nicoletta well it doesn´t has something to do with my teeth, my stomach can´t handle it, then i have real bad problems with my stomach

    it was a breath test like a alcohol test.

    well i think this is good to handle, and there is a little hope that in an half an year, without this all eating things it will maybe all like before

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Nicoletta
    The roller coaster weather really sounds restless, but I suppose you'll soon have " Queen Summer " after
    weeks' unstable weather.
    " Queen Summer " is a word made by me, Nicolettchen ! ... ;-)))
    In Europe, you have the great winter " King Winter " and I think it is as it is. For me who have cruel summer with both high temperature and humidity for about 3 months, summer in Europe is really beautiful, so I'd like to call it Queen Summer.

    Mom's day on Sunday looks a bit cold in Zurich this year. I hope at least it will not have something like storm !

    @corinna

    A breath test !? yes, I see the doctor can get the useful information about the stomach from the breath test, but I wouldn't think it is enough. BTW,does your doctor have any plan to recommend you to take some medicine prescribed by him or her to make your stomach Schleimhaut healthy ?

    Thank you, dear dana ! Honestly speaking, I was stupidly too optimistic about the surgery, and I think your worry is quite normal, bc the surgery was pretty complicated as you supposed. Fortunately the surgery itself was successful and the recovery process is very smooth. But I cannot hesitate to complain of the corset. I hope my patience will be able to keep on until the day I'm free from it, possibly in later June.

    Talking about the snake, it is sometimes the symbol of the rich ( money ) in Japan, though I don't know why. So people often puts it in the purse. In fact, there is always a tiny and thin thing ( pinkie's nail size ) in the shape of a snake in my purse. Mine is made from a seashell. One of my friends gave it to me as a souvenir from holiday which visited the shrine of this kind. We took it as a joke and I put it into my purse at once as a joke, too. Since then, a little snake has lived in my purse.

    yes, it's the same, dana. About 10 days after the surgery, doctors were so excited to work on my back peeling off the scab, while talking " what a beautiful new skin coming ! " We were temporary snake sisters. ... ;-)))

    My baby sis looks very happy by your soft touch on her soft belly. dana. Big Grrrr & Prrrr to you from her !

    Love you, too !
