Snow, Snow & More Snow

If Aksel's theory is correct he should come to Canton & drive around! The snow we had is now gone. :-( I get to go back to work, but they are taking .40 cents away from me. Not happy about that, but it will work for now because I'm applying at a medical billing place & hopefully I get in there. *crosses fingers*

What do I see, you applied for a job at a medical billing place, dear Mel!!

That is a wonderful idea! A job working with figures suits perfect to you, and working for medical services sounds real great too.

Cross my fingers very strong for you, Mel!

  5. @mel sorry about that .40 cents, but happy that you finally get a good solution for your problem!

so i had the last week vacation - no working.
on monday i have to start again and today in the morning i get ill! damn i really hope that i will be fit till monday!

@ekaterina i bought last week something from japan at least i think it is from japan!
    do you know kanebo/sensai?
i bought a eyeshadow from them at good some free samples!
i got this one as the softening lotion (light)
    http://www.sensai-cosmetics.com/detail/index.php?lang=en&id=sk001

and this one as the emulsion (moist)
    http://www.sensai-cosmetics.com/detail/index.php?lang=en&id=sk002

and i really have to say i be real happy with this! they are real good!

i bought this eyeshadow in that colour you see in the pic!

    http://www.sensai-cosmetics.com/detail/index.php?lang=en&id=sc006

and the name of it is
    "Murasaki No Nihohi"

can you translate this for me?

    ReplyDelete
  6. @corinna
Kanebo is one of the famous cosmetic company of Japan, although Shiseido is the highest ranked in Japanese cosmetic company. Kanebo first started the business as the spinning company, but now the cosmetic company. It's the same as Toyota which also started first as the spinning company. It's so funny !

as for " Murasaki No Nihohi ", Murasaki means the name of colour and it's violet. No means a kind of " of ", or " 's ". Nihohi means the smell or odor. So " Murasaki No Nihohi " means " The smell of violet "

corinna, I'm doing another thing right now which has to be done first, so I check the links and post my comments about them tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy it, dear corinna !

    ReplyDelete
  7. @ekaterina thank you so much for the translation!

shiseido i have also at free examples at home, there i have a lipgloss not for sale sample/free examples

  8. @corinna
I shecked the links you posted, corinna !
It's a very beautiful eye shadow palette !

Though I've never used Kanebo and Shiseido, I think the both of them is popular among Japanese, of course. I knew SHISEIDO has shops in Europe, but I didn't know KANEBO does it, too.

The softening lotion and Emulsions of Kanebo/sensai seem good. " sensai " means " delicacy " in Japanese. Did you know that ?
The pronunciaiton is " sen " in " SENse " and " sai " in " CYcle ". We often talk like " He is sensai. " or " She is sensai. "

Hope you enjoy the Sunday evening, dear corinna !

    @All ladies !
Let's expect Aksel on the podium next weekend !
    Kisses & Hugs ! LOVE !

in munich is a big "kaufhaus" it is called oberpollinger they made is some years ago new, before it was a normal shop to buy normal stuff, like clothes, kitchen stuff bath stuff and so on
but now it is a luxury thing

    http://www.oberpollinger.de/en/fashion_style/overview_of_brands/

with a loui vitton shop, burberry shop and so on!
i like to go inside and to look (but i never would buy stuff like this, bc i don´t thing this handbags or the clothes looks good), but then it is more like "i never ever would buy this or this or this, bc it doesn´t look good"

Thanks for the link of oberpollinger !
yes, I think it's fun to walk around, too.
I suppose it has been a kind of the trend that the many big buildings of stores appears. But I prefer to the walk along the beautiful street with such many shops, bc I sometimes get lost in the big building. ... ;-))) And I also like to visit the market places in Germany. To my regret, we don't have such market places, we have it only in the occasion of the festival, but it does not look nice as in Europe.

Agree with you, from time to time it is fun to walk trough a house of brands!

Oberpollinger looks very nice, in Zurich we go to Jelmoli, they have also a lot of brands!

There you need also to carry on your big purse! HaHa

The History part is quite interesting, because Jelmoli used to be a very traditional house.

    Wish you a happy week!

    Hope you all feel good!!

In Switzerland Wengen is the main topic beside of the the "turmoil" about the Chairman of the Swiss money Market Hildebrand! Maybe you have already heard about.

Love the info about the trainings, etc. The view at the Lauberhorn is so majestetic and unique, especially with the beautiful weather at the moment.

Hope Aksel enjoys his training runs and makes the best of it. It is not the best position for a racer if you have been ill before, but who knows!

Hope he enjoys it so much, and gets beautiful wings for the races!

It is a pitty most of the videos from the videoportal you can't see, there are so many at the moment! You all should come to Switzerland to view them! HaHa

    I try this one:

    http://www.videoportal.sf.tv/video?id=b308573f-a269-44aa-80d3-a6cc03748b24

It is an interview with Bode Miller in English and he says some wise words about life and skiing in general. Some spectacular info/video about his races! He is also one of the veterans, and I think he has a strong personality!

    @All Ladies

    Have fun and keep smiling!
    Love you!

@all i wish you a great weekend and hopefully a successful weekend for aksel!

Optically Mel's blog has changed to me a lot. The writing of the comments is very small at the moment! Even if I zoom, then the commenting space becomes 500 %! LOL

Strange you are inhibitted here to comment, I have constantly the same problem on Aksel's blog! I hearde Dana, Corinna and a lot of others have the same troubles. Hope he can fix it soon.

Thanks for thinking of Feuz. He seems to be our Wunderkind at the moment. I admire his mental strenght beside of skills of course, well trained are most of the skiers.

I think the mental strenght is the one what makes the difference. Obviously Feuz and also Hirscher are very focussed and have a wonderful balance mentally! Also Ivica seemes very relaxed and in a good mood these days and speaks openly that the youngones are so good, that he has even more to train to compete them.

I do not know, how the Norwegians are organized, but sometimes I have the impression Aksel & Kjetil do not get the necessary help from their coaches regarding mental condition.

The former trainer Arnesen looked to me more skilled in this aspect. As I said before the mental strength is it, so many sportsmen have mental coaches they do nothing else then supporting and guiding them during the races.

It is again not my business, but if I were Aksel I would look for a private mental coach because he stuckes somewhere and it is certainly not because of his skills and physical standing. And it has nothing to do with the flue, something that everybody can have.

Because of your commentator I noticed that the mental strenght is so important. While commenting he not only speaks about the way the skiers ski, he also says some words about with what kind of health or circumstances in life the skier have to cope at the moment. His comments are always very interesting. BTW he would be able to coach a skier like Aksel very well.

Wish you all a great Sunday! Have fun!

    Hugs & Kisses all around!

  22. Something is different with the commenting field, normally I could read it through and do some changes, today I left it out, because I was worried to loose my text.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @nicoletta you be right about the mental strenght, i know a lot of skiracer and ohters (also in biathlon) have a mental coach!
i think this is something real good,
i also know that our german soccer national team have a mental coach!

only one week left then i be in kitzbühel i can´t wait!

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Corinna

    You lucky Girl, Corinna!

Will be again a wonderful weekend for you!
Nearly the same like Lago di Garda! LOL

Yes, I don't think mental help is to underestimate, I believe nearly all great sportsmen have one, for example Federer and Djokovic!

They can contact them if needed, possibly this helps to come over bad times, what nearly every sportment has. If you are lonely fighter, to come out and make the turnaround is sometimes difficult and takes a longer period because our memory is day and night working, and especially in sport you do not so quickly forget!

The key is to concentrate on the positive and beautiful moments, so you get in a good mood and are self-confident! Everything what disturbs you should let behind you!

Easy to talk, but a mental support works like that! From a neutral point of view it is certainly easier to speak. For this reason I am quite happy, I am not a ski racer or similar. LOL

No, "Spitzensport" is not always only fun!
But the positive values weight much more, I am sure. And we as spectators estimate all this big efforts a lot, don't we? We support our idols in any case and we will never stop to do.

Wish you a great Sunday afternoon, Corinna!

  25. Hope Aksel is also very much looking forward to Kitzbühel and his total physical strentht is back after the flue. Certainly ALS is in a "very good racing mood" for the next weekend!

Will be again a beautiful and exiting time for us!

    Good luck to Aksel!
It would be wonderful to see him on the podium again! Hope he get's there and does all the races with a big smile on his face whatever comes!

To stay playful is very much important according to our commentator Russi, because if you get to much focussed you loose!

Playful, one of the favorite words of Pippi (LOL) but yes it is important!

Once more, all the best to Aksel!

Corinna is kind of our delegation to cheer direcly for us all! HaHa

    Thanks, Corinna!

To read the comments on Mel's blog is a piece of cake because of the smaller writting! Zooming bigger is also possible for me! HaHa

But today I am totally unable to write a comment on Aksel's blog! Even if I change the Website style.

I have an XP but it is not that old, but no chance at all! It is a pitty, because I believe not everyone of his fans has the newest standard! I hope Aksel is aware of that! LOL

Maybe we all should comment more frequently on FB! There is also a lot of space! And it works!!!

Wish you all a great end of the week!

I think I can post it here in Mel's. I tried to see your FB, Nicolettchen, and I actually found it, but I think I need the remote support by the stuff I have a contract with. So, I join you later hopefully.

The update on my life right now :
    * The unexpected sorrow came to me. One of my best friend, Birgit passed away. Her funeral took place last Saturday in Muden/Aller, Germany. I feel sad I couldn't attend the funeral, due to my schedule of the hospital matters, but I delivered the flowers.
She passed away 2 weeks after the cancer disappeared, that is, the chemotherapy was too hard for her.
    * As you see, I have to take the 2 surgery, and the date of the first one which is about varix is fixed in February 6th. I check in TWMU in February 5th and check out in February 8th. The other one ( the scoliosis ) will be in later March, according to Dr.Shiba, bc TWMU wants to keep my own blood for the surgery. My next visit to TWMU is next Tuesday in January 24th and it is for the preparation examination for the surgery in February.
    * I think I book my flight for the summer vacation before the big surgery. It makes sense, I believe.

Hope you enjoy the great weekend ! It's so so cold in Tokyo.
    Kisses & Hugs ! LOVE !

Your schedule with the hospital matters is very long, cross my fingers strongly that all will go in a very smooth way! We will miss you so much, if no contact is given during your time in the hospital, Ekaterina!

My proposal with the FB was, just in case!
I think it is worth to have such an account, the world is big and you can read/find a lot, and connection to others is up to you! I find it is always kind of a challenge to try something new with the computer. LOL

With your support you can manage to open an account, and I presume you will love it, dear Ekaterina! Hope to see you there soon!
