So I have been avoiding Diana from personnel for about 3 weeks. I had a feeling that they were going to try to screw me. Sorry, let me start from the beginning. The doctor put me on permanent restrictions for work last month. They had me fill out some paperwork for disability. They have their own private disability company. Anyway, they denied it & now I'm on leave with no pay. :-( They have 60 days to find me a position if they don't I'm gone for good. Yeah I hate working for them, but at least I had money. After next pay I don't know if I'm gonna get anything. I don't think I have any personal time left. I may have some sick time, but I don't really know. There is always my vacation time, but I was saving that for Florida. I'm gonna give them a week or two & if they haven't found me another position I'm gonna go apply were my brother-in-law works. Plus there is still no snow. I'm thinking I'm a little depressed...who wouldn't be when your put on permanent restrictions, it's winter & there is no snow & to top it all off your basically out of a job. :-( *bangs head on keyboard* Do you think Aksel would hire me to cook & clean for him? LOL Oh & to make awesome drinks for everybody. ;-)

It apparently smells the moral harassment to put you in such a situation. Did you talk with your attorney over this matter ?
Hope you're reaching to the solution which you find an acceptable enough.

But I was worried for a longer time, because you usually renew the blog entries from time to time! No Christmas picture was a very bad sign for me!
Like Ekaterina mentioned, you have certainly to look with your attorney what he can do for you.
Honestly, the situation at work is not so easy for you since a long time, and I deeply understand your concerns because of having no job in the future. That is indeed an unbearably bad situation.
All your lovely plans going to Florida, seeing your relatives, aunts and oncles crossed my mind.
You wrote so enthusiasticaly about the travel and I can perfectly imagine, Florida is a good place for you!
Did you already consider to make an absolute new start, and move for a certain time to Florida, dear Mel?
Perhaps one of your oncles and aunts are able to give you accomodation and some support, so can live there evt. with Ella May for a certain while.
Evt. you find a job in a hotel, restaurant, bar, bakery, kind of work that you love, and you could imagine to do.
Perhaps your relatives can make some "mouth to mouth propaganda" to help you to find a nice and suitable job for you, even before you definitely move there.
The managment school is a bit a problem. Can you find a similar school in Florida, dear Mel?
What about concentrating on a bookkeeping diploma? There must be a good school in Florida.
I learned you are great with figures like mathematics and algebra, Mel.
In Switzerland good bookkeeper find always a good job and are reasonably paid too. It does not matter, you will need it if you are your own boss with a bakery, or are working with a bar, or even settled down with some children, bookkeeping is always a great way to earn your money.
Furthermore, nobody looks only at your legs, you have not to be a model, and age is only helpful, if you know what I mean! LOL
This is kind of my life experience. Forgive me Mel, for sending you again unasked recommadations. But I can feel you are in a really bad situation at the moment.
Wish you good luck, Mel, hope the sun starts shining again for you, if it is the sun in Ohio or in Florida does not matter.

Thanks for the link, and I let you know it is very helpful. But it seems I found one mistake in the text. The water dragon comes in every 60 years, I think. So 1892 ( NOT 1992 ! ), 1952, 2012. ... I'm excited to have the first Water Dragon in my life, dear Nicoletta. and I see it starts from Jan.23 to Feb.09, bc the ancient Chinese calendar is used to set the zodiac.
btw, Nicoletta, you have the great idea about Mel. The Florida Plan sounds one of the best. I also think the year of the Water Dragon helps her a lot, bc Mel is a wise girl.

In 2000 and 1976 we had obviously to do with different dragons, but as I remember it havent been boring years!! It will also be my first time to enjoy a water dragon year!
To be honest, I do not take astrology and Chinese zodiac top serious. But on the otherhand I agree with you Ekaterina, there you can always find helpful parts, if you try to read it carefuly.
And I enjoy to have some fun to compare this kind of prognosis!

ReplyDelete@Nicoletta I still plan on going to Florida for vacation. I don't think I would move there though...way too many bugs for me. Not to mention they are huge...well & the alligators, crocodiles, snakes, hurricanes...basically all my fears live in Florida...LOL
