We started out at 78F(temp of the inside of the house) then we went up to 99F in just 5 mins of being outside.
22 mins later 114F!!!!
Like 2 seconds later 115!!!!!!! Today is an inside day & Ella, Shadow & Princess going out only when they really, really have to. Otherwise they will be going on a newspaper or the floor depending on the dog. Only Ella is paper trained. :-)
@mel you can send some heat over to us! we have a mix btw rain and sun and something about 20°C!

@Ekaterina We stay inside when it's this hot out. We don't even go in our pool until 7pm when the sun is behind our trees. They had to put blocks of ice in the public pools because the water was 100F.

Astonishing ! You live in the United States of America, not in Africa. my dear Mel ! But the temperature is just crazy !
In Japan, the highest temperature ever recorded is 105°F some years ago, and not in Tokyo. It's from 90°F to 100°F in Tokyo in summer and it lasts for about 2 months. But it was 74°F in Tokyo yesterday and it'll be 83°F ( which is lower than first expected ) today.
It's quite unusual for us to enjoy this level of the moderate temperature in July. But " the reality " comes back tomorrow, the weather fourcast says.
As we don't adopt the summer-time, we have the longer night than you, I think. It's already dark at 19:00 here. The outdoor pools open for the public in my neighborhood is elementary school's pool during its summer holidays, and it closes already at 19:00.
yes, you and Ella May, and your family & friends had better stay inside while the outside temperature is such crazy, Mel.

What has happened here in Norway today is just so horrible that I for ones really have problems to open my mouth!! We are a strong nation and we are strong ppl with a national feeling I think is hard to find anywhere else!
